r/entitledpeople OP and his family were out for a hike at a national park when he stumbled upon a lady and a man in a confrontation! The man's kids were apparently in "HER" water and she decided to take matters into her own hands by splashing the kids and knocking them into the pool of water! The dad comes to the rescue and yells at the entitled lady. Subscribe for future stories!

I was already seeing red flags in story 2 when I heard that the child was referred to as a "do-over daughter", implying that the first one is faulty or improper. Absolutely toxic and disgusting mindset.
@drakewarrior1013
@drakewarrior1013 3 жыл бұрын
Well, I could see this being said not about the child itself, but about raising it. It could imply that conditions of raising 1st child were improper (early pregnancy, low wage and poor living conditions, less-than-desirable education, no time for bonding and hobbies, etc). While later they could want to give somebody the love and experience they gathered while not being bothered by those things above. Or it could not mean anything wrong at all, and parents just wanted to, well, be parents again and raise another child, IDK, maybe I'm not seeing something, because English isn't my main language. But I don't really see the big red flag in this phrase.

I literally grew up in the service industry. My parents were restaurant owners for the first 15 years of my life, I worked the next 5 years in it and I've seen it all however my sister who is 5 years older actually worked for my parents. Many, many years ago, my now- husband was at the beach with his then- wife and her son, who was 6-7 at the time. Little Erik was happily playing in the sand near the ocean's edge when some Random Guy came along, picked up Erik and tossed him into the ocean. BIG MISTAKE! Dave is 6'7" and is NOT a person to be trifled with. He has zero tolerance for bullies and is super protective ( if I stub my toe, he wants to rush me to the ER - no joke). So Dave leaps to his feet, grabs the guy by his collar and waistband and tosses HIM in the ocean! As he turns to tend to Erik , Dave realizes there are 2 cops standing behind him and thinks "Oh, f**I! I'm going to be arrested for assault!", but the cops informed him that they'd seen the whole thing. Random Guy wades to shore and begins the "Arrest him! I've been assaulted! I wasn't doing anything!" garbage, whereupon the cops duly inform him that they saw the whole thing. The smug smirk on the guy's face was wiped out when he was placed under arrest and Dave was asked if he wanted to press charges on the RG for reckless endangerment and assault on a minor. Which, of course he did!

The mashed potato family is a classic example of what happens in a dysfunctional family built around a narcissist. What to anyone in earshot sounds like shockingly rude and abusive behavior, seems perfectly normal to the family members. One clinical psychologist with a very good YT channel describes it as becoming so normalized that it is like the perpetrator is speaking a foreign language. 1st story) Lady assaulting a practical baby?? She wouldn't be getting up. Probably wake up in the ER. I grew up in the country. I don't have luxury of being "soft" with cowards who raise hands to tiny children. 2nd story) Dodged a bullet. That family is a downright nightmare and the stars aligned to show him what he was in for. I would've loudly exclaimed, "Oh, I am SO sorry for these workers for having to deal with RUDE and SNOTTY people. The level of ENTITLEMENT from some people--" I would let out a long rant while looking dead at them.

The splashing story? I witnessed a similar incident many years ago (long before the days of cellcams) My wife and I were enjoying watching a little girl splashing around in a pond in the local park. She was having so much fun my wife went over to join in. Me and the little girls mother were having a great laugh at watching the little girl and my wife. Some entitled jerk comes along and starts shouting at both my wife and the little girl, for apparently no reason other than he doesn't like anyone enjoying life. Suddenly the guy grabs the little girl and pulls her out of the pond, screaming and shouting at her. Before any of us adults could do anything, this kid of about 15 or so just grabbed the guy and proceeded to kick the shit out of him. When things eventually calmed down (the man being arrested for assaulting a minor), the kid just turned to me and said, "I have a sister about that little girls age, and I would hate to see someone to that to her". I handed him £20 and told him to have a good dinner on me.

The crazy german woman reminded me of when i was 10 maybe 11 Two of my cousins and i were playing in a drainage ditch in southern California and these kids started throughing durt clods at us. I pick one up and through it back hiting one in the forehead he started crying and ran home his dad showed up as we were leaving. Wanting to know who hit his kid we told him they through clods at us and we just thought them back. He said he didn't care so one of the boys with his son told him i through the clod. So he came up and grabbed me by the shoulder and started wanting to know where i lived my cousin told him to leave me alone and i told him to go get my Dad and he started to run get my Dad. The boy with the man tried to stop Adam my cousin and got layed out Adam was a football player and give him a beautiful strait arm. The guy started draging me after Adam i got my legs tangled with his and down he went. As we got up i managed to give him a strait arm that smashed into the base of his stick shifter and split him ball bearings he let go of me and i hauld but out of there. Dad met me and picked me up in the pickup and we went home a different direction and seen him walking and he seen me. Dad slowed a little but didn't stop about 10 mins. after we get home the guy comes down the alley and in to the back yard dad meets him the guy called me a little sob and his but hit the dirt. Dad backed up so he could get up asked him if he had anything else to say so he told dad what i did to him. My Dad said good i tought him right how to take care of himself. The guy smiled and said he sure did that and truned and left. Dad came over to me put his hand on my shoulder told me everything the guy said then told me i did it right. He love telling this story. It was in 1961 or 1962

I would have died of embarrassment if I were OP. I'm so non confrontational in restaurants that if it is a minor problem, I just let it go and if it is a major problem I apologize more than the waiter for being troublesome. Seeing someone I am eating with get food off a stranger's table would probably cause me to just pay my part of the bill and leave.

Oh My FREAKING God. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 I’ve been listening to, and reading these entitled stories, and I have to say that THIS story is waaaaaaaay up there with some of the worst entitled behaviour that I’ve EVER come across. I’m so impressed by the server remaining cool. Honestly, OP lasted a lot longer than I would have. My second hand (and direct) embarrassment and anxiety would have been too much for me to take. If those people think that is bad service, I've seen worse. My family would drive from Kansas to Florida to visit my grandparents most summers. Once, while traveling through Louisiana, we stopped at a Denny's for dinner. It took FOREVER just to get any service. Patrons who showed up after we did were already eating and even paying before they even brought drinks. My parents had finally had enough and we ended up with donuts from the nearby convenience store. This was nearly twenty years ago and I have never seen such awful service since that mess.

It always gets me when shitty customers yell things like “I’m never coming back here” or “you’re losing my business” as though it’s some kind of threat. We all know the staff are thinking “good, we don’t want you here.” Naturally, self-entitlement comes with an inflated sense of self-importance, but it definitely betrays their loose grasp on reality and their total lack of self-awareness.
