I was deployed in Afghanistan when he came to sing for us soldiers; I will always love and respect him for that. He, unfortunately, had himself a little scare when the sirens went off but he still came back on stage after we had the all clear. Not to mention, that smile of his always made my heart skip a beat. BTW one of my favorites of Toby's is, As Good as I Once Was, please try to react to it. Rest in power, Toby, you will forever be missed; may God continue to bless his entire family. Take care everyone and stay safe.

I can't name a single Toby Keith song. It's not my style of music. But I hate hearing about someone dying of cancer. I've been battling cancer since 2020 and fighting it is really tough. I've had chemo, radiation, and a stem cell transplant, so I know some of what he had to deal with. He fought the good fight. Rest in peace Toby.

I only had to face the prostate cancer, but I know there may/will be others coming. Mine was just a 6-8 month inconvenience since they haven't identified that it spread (compared to stomach cancer which is horrible). I wish you the most success possible in your unfortunate journey. I wish Toby and his family the best in his journey onwards and their journey towards healing and coping. Cancer sucks. Peace, Love!!

Listen to TOBY KEITH's DON"T LET THE OLD MAN IN....will bring a tear. Clint Eastwood was his golf buddy. He asked Clint how he stayed so young and active. Clint said, "don't let the old man in"...TOBY wrote a song called Don't Let The Old Man IN....the only place I ever heard it played was at the end of Clint's last movie they played this song as the credits rolled at the end. THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST TOBY SONG YOU WILL EVER HEAR. He sung it at the People's Choice Awards 4 months ago and he was already wasted and thin.....so get the TOBY KEITH DON"T LET THE OLD MAN IN PEOPLE"s CHOICE AWARDS. IT HAS THE LYRICS. IT WILL BE YOUR FAVORITE TOBY SONG and you will play it again and again. I GUARANTEE...THE WORDS ARE INCREDIBLE AND SO APRO PO TO HIS SINGING IT AS HE WAS DYING.....

We got to our seats right as the opener started playing (which has always been one of our fave country bands). Had we stayed 15-30 more minutes at the race, we would've NEVER made any of the concert as it's a parking lot for hours after the race One of the best concerts I've EVER SEEN! & I've been to over 500 concerts in my lifetime.

He did a couple of gigs at small bar here to benefit the old man that ran it & then Toby surprised him by playing for his birthday. I also saw him at the benefit concert for Moore tornado victims. During an impromptu performance in Norway with Will Smith and Wyclef Jean, Keith briefly pulled back his eyes in a stereotypical expression when Smith rapped the word “yellow” about 26 seconds into the song “Rapper’s Delight”. A real role model.

When I went to OU, I can remember every football game seeing Toby on the sidelines. Now, living here again, I can tell you he still went to every OU football game and basketball game. He gave millions of his own money to the tornado victims in 1999 and 2013 and as Jay said, we love going to his restaurant in Bricktown. He will be missed. I wish I had seen this yesterday, we woudl have come down to Moore to the water tower next to I-35. But he was a class act and he did a Channel 9 local news story that you should see. He looked bad, but he still did some shows in Vegas like a few weeks ago. It's sad and will miss him! I love this bar!!! Red White and Blue....never will forget him!

RIP Toby Keith. Such a fun song by such a great artist. "I Want To Talk About Me" is one of my favorites too Amber. Of course after 9/11 I was blasting "Courtesy Of The Red White And Blue" along with Whitney Houston's version of "The Star Spangled Banner" just like many of us. "I Love This Bar" is another favorite of mine. Legend gone but will never be forgotten. 🙏🏻💖

My friend is from Norman, OK. Her family goes to the same church as Toby Keith's family. When she heard about his passing she cried and told me stories of the family and Toby's band. It is just heartbreaking. I was listening to Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue today in honor of him, and cried. What a great patriot and good man he was.

This is such a punch in the throat to not only country music fans, but patriots across this nation. We just lost another great artist today-Mojo Nixon. I would love to see a reaction to some of his stuff. Elvis is Everywhere is probably his most famous song. Thanks for honoring Toby!!
