We were all really poor back then..but we had no idea that we were poor..because we had tons of Family! no amount of money could compare to how rich we all were with family love! ;) everybody pitched in.

You are so right it hurts! Family love is the greatest wealth and we are all realising it now in a society fragmented, lonely and alienated from one another. And we are all more poor for it.....

I freaking tear up every time I see this. Learning R.L.'s guitar technique should be taught at Julliard. If you can play "See MY Jumper Hangin on the Line" you will know more about rock music than 90% of the folks who got famous from it. Truth.

I noticed that too. It's the relationship that made the boys want to be with their dad and be LIKE their dad. Everyone should have a dad that really connects. But it doesn't go that way too ofte n. God is my Heavenly Father. Unlike many, He's True. He's Legit. And He's never gonna leave me. Troubles come. But He walks right beside me when I'm going through them. Can't say enough. I hope you are doing well, friend. It's hard to fill a heart if a dad didn't do right by you. But God has filled mine.

When I was growing up (mid 60's - early 70's) here in Los Angeles, a lot of boys at my school did hambone routines and they were FUNKY!! I LOOOOVED seeing that at school during recess, and the best ones would have these impromptu competitions after school, too.

What does hambone means? It is the drumming they are doing?

@firstwordcar
@firstwordcar 2 жыл бұрын
@@DCLXVI000 2 year old comment but the name Hambone comes from when the slaves were given the hambone from their master’s meal and they would pass the hambone around. Not sure when or why they started calling the drumming Hambone though. It was originally Pattin’ Juba. I would assume that maybe when the Hambone came around they would start drumming on their legs and body and it became one of those things where the name just crossed over….
