Imagine how humiliating it was for the canadian community that the banana was put together faster than the maple leaf.

I find it funny how Ireland, France, Chile and Colombia didn't get griefed at all while Canada was just fighting for its life

The more marvelous thing is at the end when you go see the heat map you discover that, no, the didn't struggle to drow it but were relentlessly attacked since the beginning. And the cherry on the top is the fact that by doing this the attackers permitted to crate an ultra bright and perfect leaf on the heat map at the end!!

I remember that at some point Germany drew a perfect Canadian leaf on their own flag just to troll them

This is why one of the most fundamental rules of flaglore is that it should be quick and easy to draw/color from memory. Some rulesets specify that a child should be able to do it just by having the flag described to them.

It looks like a struggle, but this is actually a historic battle. We can clearly see team Maple Leaf getting trolled by team Pot Leaf who eventually got the munchies and became team Banana.

As a Canadian, there's not a single person I know who can draw the leaf, back in school when we drew the flag they let us write the word Leaf instead of actually trying to draw it.

r/Place this year is exactly the same. Canadian history repeats itself

You can see the wine constantly getting drank and refilled throughout the entire thing, no grieving that really destroys it, just people being thirsty. This is the kind of grieving I can get behind.

I think it's less "canadians don't know how to draw a leaf" and more like "canadians struggling to put a pixel without it being griefed in a nanosecond"

Honestly, there was a point when you could see a consistent leaf for quite awhile. At least if you could squint past the griefers.

The timelapse makes it look like its a being of energy and they are just trying to keep it under control and make it hold its shape

As a Canadian, I must say that the maple leaf is one of the most difficult things to draw, even if you trace it

Can you imagine the stress of that though? You’re trying to coordinate drawing this really vague shape, and you look over and see the people next to you drawing a baguette, the Eiffel Tower, and ANIMATED wine.. Props to the goose that slipped in there a few times. The wolf(?) suddenly getting a drink was my favorite part of this area though.

There is something so pure about this video. The music and the total innocence of everything going on, everyone just kind of hopping on to enjoy a shared joke. The other countries working to poke fun at Canada. The banana event. The weed leaf. The fact that no one in Canada knows how to draw a maple leaf. It so easily could have turned into a competition of who can make the biggest flag, a d*ck waving competition like one would expect. But no, for the most part the flags were respectful of each other’s space, and any grieving/teasing was in good fun. Even when the flag got hijacked they could have drawn something obscene, but no, just banana.
