I am 65 and discovered Röyksopp recently. I listen to this song everyday. It is one of the best songs I have ever heard (and I have heard thousands in most genres).

The video corresponds with the lyrics of "only this moment holds us together" The different women and men you see in the video are the same people, just in different time periods, because you see at the end of the video that the older woman and man who are standing the crowd turn into the younger couple, explaining the point that through the entirety of the song the lyrics change from "our love will die" to "love will survive" shown by the couple staying together.

I died to this song in summer '09... it was playing on my playlist when I drifted off into the darkness. I came back a different person... but I feel this song still holds a connection to whatever soul inhabited this body before I was revived.

If I remember correctly this song came out around 2004-05. Back then MTV used to have a segment called "Stuck in my Head" where they would select songs which were catchy and would get stuck in your head. 20 yrs have gone by this song is still stuck in my head...

year 2005 this song come out i was about 19 i remember these days like yesterday every time this track played on tv i put it up on high volume and just sit in front of tv and like mad person listening and watching it,then after i managed to buy album of these guys amazing track !!!!

Bsck in 2005 when The Understanding was released, I went to a festival with Royksopp on stage, and even though I liked the album I SKIPPED their performance for no reason. Right afterwards I started listening to the album even more and regretted my decision so so much... to this day haha :)

А после просмотра фильма "поцелуй на удачу" и момента танца в этом фильма произошла любовь к этой композиции. Idk if this genre is “techno” or if it’s something else I’ve never looked it up. but my mom was obsessed with this group when I was a kid. When I was really little, she would take me to work with her after school and she worked far away so we would listen to her cds in the car. Anytime I hear Royksopp it instantly takes me back 💜

This song was on EVERY OTHER MySpace train bulletin in the mid 2000s… I literally can’t. Ever since the other biggest MySpace train bulletin song had a resurgence due to Saltburn (perfect exceeder) I’m just waiting for this one to be in a box office hit and bring everyone back here from the 2000s 🥹
