I once rode an inbound 7 out of Main Street (sometime in the 1980s) which was ordered to make 74th Street first stop. On the post all the way, and when entering 74th he realized he wouldn't make it, so with an emergency brake application, the train came to a stop correctly, and the conductor had no problem opening the doors immediately. In thirty seconds air was recharged, and we were back underway. Railfaning was a lot more fun back then

It's amazing what New York does. The BART system in SF wouldn't dream of running a train that fast through a station...ever. They creep trains through at a 20-30mph crawl, at most.

That would cause a ton of noise complaints, speed limits would have to be improved, and the trains are going as fast as they can out of there without giving a rough ride and damaging the couplers, so maybe think next time foamer

dam that was fast i seen them do that alot now that most of all the tracks are done over so they can go past the stations with no curve fast as hell now and yea they top speed is 70 not 65 but they can make 70 75 on a good straight away like that one
