R211A 4300-4304 at Av N (Pitkin Yard Transfer)

Every R211A set is delivered to the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal before moving to the Coney Island Yard to be properly set up. Once that is done, the set moves to the Pitkin Yard where it performs testing and eventually enters service on the A Line. This set in particular is R211A 4300-4304, which is the first ever set in the 4300 series to be seen on NYCT property.

I have been often spotting the test trains when I’m around in the Rockaways. So hopefully I could find this one in the meantime

I believe we already have some R211 car body shells (for option 1) being built in Kawasakis Kobe,Japan plant.

Yes, it’ll be testing at the Broad Channel test track in the coming days

It does not have cove screens, you can see it in the video if you look close enough (but it is slightly hard to tell)
