Thanks for this :) we have tried doing it just using the pressure bleeder and we couldnt get any fluid to come out... either nothing comes out the nipple or it drips slowly, we found pressing the brake pedal sped up the process and pulled the fluid through... this could be because we are using a cheap pressure bleeder or we set the pressure to low... maybe next time I will try a higher pressure! Good shout on the goggles though! that fluid went everywhere!! hahaha. Thanks so much for watching, Miriam xx

I assume your car is lowered then? the HEL lines are identical to all the other braided line companies whether its Goodridge or someone else.... the problem lies with lowered cars and the chances are on your car the line hadn't bust just the coloured coating had worn off? We spoke to HEL about this exact issue as we had seen it mentioned... this was our reply which may help! We sell a fair few of theses (way over 100 sets in the last year!) and haven't had a single issue mentioned to us. From what we understand whatever line you choose will have this issue so worth making sure you check them regularly anyway! And don't forget they have a lifetime warranty as well :) I hope this helps in someway and thank you sooo much for watching really appreciate that, Miriam xx "The hose HAS NOT burst. Our hoses, Goodridge hoses, and any other reputable braided brake hose will hold about 8-10 times the pressure that ANY car brake system could produce. It’s simply not true that a brake hose would ‘burst’. The only way a brake hose will fail is if a) the hose has been excessively pulled continuously in an acute angle at the inner wing end. This could be due to poor maintenance, incorrect fitting (not routing the hose in the same shape/route as the OE hose was), due to modification - lowering for example will make the hose sit in a different position to how it should do as standard, or due to a freak movement of the hose caused by something like a pot hole, speed bump or similar. The hose in the picture below has clearly RUBBED on a moving part, and rubbed on it for a significant amount of time in order to burn through the PVC, the 4 wire stainless steel braid, and the PTFE inner hose. An excessive amount of hose must have been one side of the mid-line locating bracket. This could be down to a number of reasons, but NONE of which are down to the quality or standard of the hose itself. We have added another component to kits this year which stops excessive movement of the hose through the line locating bracket. See attached image. This is not because lots of people have had failures, it’s just another way of eliminating possible instances like this where there is nothing you, I or the person with the car can do about a hose moving excessively (for any of the reasons above) other than regular checks/maintenance which arguably should be done on any modified car, but telling that to the customer and actually getting it done is another thing." They closed with "Personally if I’m guessing I think most/all of the ones which have rubbed will be on lowered cars, as we’ve sold literally 1000’s of Mini brake line kits and we’d have had tonnes of complaints/issues if it was a common thing"

They acknowledge people have had failures, which is all due to the line moving through the grommet freely, but deny their product is substandard. Typical. At least you got a response :) My car is on AP coilovers, but they're set as high as possible. I do almost all work on my car, but shortly before my brake failure, work was done on the car (wheels off, lots of stuff masked up etc), so I guess the line was pushed/pulled through the grommet by accident. I don't blame the person for this at all, the fact is it just should not happen in the first place. The grommet on the oem lines are fixed and cannot move. I ended up replacing my HEL lines with Goodridge. Unfortunately the grommet is not fixed on those either, but at least the line is a very tight fit and doesn't move freely :) I'd strongly advise cable ties either end of the grommet ;-) PS. great channel and content, keep it up :)

Well they are just a couple of the options we can supply them with any brands reallym the pagids are for those on a budget they work great for everyday road and the occasional b road blast... Hi Arnau, the R56 cooper S brakes with 294mm discs these fit under 16 inch wheels and greater.. Ther R56 JCW discs however, are 316mm and will fit under some 17 inch wheels but not all so need to check beforehand or be prepared to change your wheels :) 18s are ideal for this upgrade :) hope this is OK and helps, Miriam xx

The R56 Cooper S Kit fits fine under standard wheels :) if you go for the larger budweg kit then there are issues with standard wheels and you need 11mm+ spacers for clearance... that being said the kit in the video it's great for the money! I hope this helps, Miriam xx

Yes there is :) the standard R53 calipers have a smaller piston than the R56 cooper s calipers, the R53 disc size is 276mm whereas the the R56 cooper s are 294mm they pads also have a greater surface area aswell. I hope this helps, Miriam xx

Sorry to say but never do half a job, do a full bleed and renew all of the fluid in the system, the last thing you want is half old contaminated fluid. If you don't feel confident enough then pass it to someone who can do it for you.

They are so much better for a start :) you get to install larger discs and pads and also the caliper has a larger piston so the braking force and surface area is greatly increased!
