Frank, pretty sure you’re supposed to use a silicone grease on slider pins. The copper grease with the pads is to go on the back to prevent any noise.

The Grease that comes with the ebc pads is meant for the slider pins (referenced on the included instructions with the pads). Many pads no longer require a "disc quiet" material as the pads are often coated for that purpose
