Im just amazed how the AI can at times outsmart the player, that Yuri MC’ing that Engy in that last end-video scene was just CLUTCH. Pro YR players can do the same move if fast enough! I swear, that move was so epic, never knew the AI would pull a fast one on you! Even the AI mods do at times (when allies) send an Engineer IFV at my conyard to cap my Conyard, it took my by surprise the first time and i was very weary of those fast ones they pull on me. The AI also in the mod i have tend to try and go *around* base defenses to attack vital buildings like your plants this happened many times as i was building a wide spread-out base with all three faction techs if the map is wide enough.

Actually, V3 rush in Mission 2 is somewhat lacking(because on one of my restarts I rush with ALL starting units including Infantry, won first try)

when I was a kid, I remember getting to mission two of the soviets and just losing cause I had no idea how to defend my base. so I literally just did the 4th tip, cause I realize I can just cheese it that way.

If you build MCVs, then deploy and sell them, you can get 5 cosmounauts for 1500. that's 300 each. But if you've built an Industrial Plant, an MCV costs 2250 and you paid 750 for 5 cosmonauts, that's 150 each, even cheaper than building and selling barracks...

In Brain Wash you can destroy the building just to the north of your starting position to reveal a money crate.

Another few tips for Brain Wash: Blow up the castle right next to your tanks at the starting point. A crate with money will appear. You can also free the allied base with a minimum of casualties if you. Use your terror drones on the 2 grizzlies, they will likewise distract the IFVs. Send your Rhinos and Boris around the allied base (Yuri will send a Gattling Tank or 2 after you) and then blow up the beacon using Boris' air strike. The MIGs will all die but they always take down the beacon first. This will likewise give you access to a Navy Seal, the sniper, and another crate by the pier with money

In Soviet Mission 2, you can capture the Allied Barracks in the middle outlying base. Normally when you set off the barrels and crates, they destroy everything in those bases, but the middle base's ammo crates around the Barracks are not. So you capture it, deploy your base as normal and then use the Forcefield on it so you can detonate those ammo crates without destroying the Barracks. You get to train up to Navy SEALs from it, so it's useful enough. Especially if you build GI's to put in the battle bunkers.

In the third mission, in the lower left corner of the map there is a container with money, though it is not always there and it is not clear under what conditions it appears.

Back then i was just blowing everything up that took more than 30 minutes. And now i wanna play this again and do these tips and make a record time win.

Compare to Allied missions, soviet ones probably have a lot more tricks (because not having easy OP units against Yuri like Phantom or Prism tanks). Some extra ones: Mission 2: you can use starting tanks to blitz the objectives too. For a more standard "build up" way, capture the neutral building on top of Einstein's lab, and build war factories to build Kirovs there. Mission 4 and 5: due to how many infantry units and especially Yuri clones Yuri send at you, you can train a small army of War Miners to elite status and bulldoze Yuri's base as they are immune to mind control. Mission 7: Yuri builds super weapons on higher difficulties once you build them. Use Iron curtain on Flak tracks with engineers to capture both psychic beacons, and you can get both bases quickly and overwhel Yuri in one fell swoop.

Oh. In escape velocity there are trick for sovyet navy alone to advance through multiple boomers. Sent the squib in front, and maneuver it around to lure the boomer while the sub and the dreadnough pound it. The squib is auto heal. Do it repeatedly and in time. You can reach yuri sub pen. Be advice. Once the sub pen and yuri's c yard are out, yuri will do his oversale tactic again, he will try to write off your navy first.

Mission 5 of YR another tip : If you build construction near the hill, you can build barrack or tesla tower on the ground over the hill. When the map is black, build defense tower to show enemy's area. Make some engineers and capture enemy's power plant. It will be fun!

For the moon mission, I used War Factories instead to get Cosmonauts. You will get 4 upon selling one, and since 4 Cosmonauts cost 2400 and the factory refunds 1000 credits upon sale, you get them at only 1400!

I remember in the moon misión, I passed the game with my 4 doom tanks, I was 7 yearsold back them, in normal dificulty, my base was destroyed and my only 4 tanks were left, only 2 survived

Actually i'm surprised with the Tips mission 1, because you're already showing me the video before about "The Friendly Pet Rexy" About the last Mission, you forgot about both Soviet and Allied Base can you captured easily without using engineers, by destroying both Yuri Psychic beacon, And also i'm recommended destroying both Yuri Psychic beacon using Nuclear Missile, rather than Frontal Assaulting

With a lot of effort you can destroy the nuclear silo by not destroying the allies ships with squids (send them back) force fire near the reactor with your dreads, and don’t destroy the harriers with your flack boats (soviet mission 1 in yuri’s revenge)

I think I recognize that last mission in this video. It's been forever, but if I recall, there's a Allied base in the top right that's mindcontrolled by a psychic beacon or whatever it's called. I remember being able to run a bunch of engineers in the flack trucks into the base, and if you could capture the beacon you'd gain control of the whole base. As a kid what I loved in these games was building cool bases and so I thought being able to cap that base with a unique, unbuildable structure in it was super cool

There's another tip for the last mission: don't construct a single super weapon and enemy will do the same. It's not worth it, enemy has much bigger army and can control 3 super weapons, so doing 1 on 1 trade is very bad.
