Oh thank you! This is such good news! The best news I've ever heard and I was a christian! I kept wondering when I would hear "the good news" they said they were already telling me. I was always on the outside looking in feeling I had somehow missed it and I was so sad. But your teaching is such a blessing when I was feeling so dejected! I can't believe every time you appeared in my KZfaq feed I would always scroll past thinking there was no way I was going to listen to anything you had to say because there couldn't possibly be anything for me to know from a Jewish person. How wrong I was! And I am so sorry for that now. Thank you thank you thank you for helping me! I feel so drawn to my heavenly Father now!

David committed adultery and murder, yes, but the label "adulterer" or "murderer" no longer applied once he repented! So much grace and forgiveness is to be found in the Jewish Scriptures. What a relief to know that there is no sin too big for God to forgive--and not just forgive, but cleanse--wash away--leaving us as white as snow. And this Good News comes to us from where? A Jewish rabbi quoting Jewish Scriptures. Thank you, Rabbi Singer, for continuing to remind us of the unfathomable depths of God's love and forgiveness.

There are some commentators in this blog that have written to the Rabbi to repent and accept Jesus as savior and you Rabbi will be saved. No Jewish person would ever go to a Christian blog and condemn the Christian for their love of their god. But these Christians think they have the right to do it to the Jewish people. How good in Christ can you be? Who taught you to hate the Jews? Your god? Think about it. And you are asking the Jews to repent, you are the ones who need to repent.

I always hear these Christian assertions about righteousness and being a sinner, and I think I wrapped it up into an easy phrase. They seem to believe in G-d having a "one-strike-you're-out" policy regarding sin. (On top of the Original Sin idea, which means, automatic slam-dunk sinner.)

To get the specifics to your question you need to ask the Rabbis. Keep in mind G-d's system of forgiveness was in effect long before the sacrificial was given at Sinai and was still in effect after Sinai. If this were not so, then there could be no righteous people without sacrifices. Since G-d is not a man and therefore not a liar, then repentance and forgiveness was and is viable. Furthermore, the sacrifices were limited in their ability to expiate sins. There were different sacrifices for different types of sin. Blood sacrifice was only applicable for unintentional sins. Intentional sins required repentance. And all sacrifices were considered invalid or ineffectual unless the person bringing the sacrifice was sincerely contrite. Of course the Priests could never tell if people were sincerely remorseful or not. However, G-d knows our hearts and always can tell if we are a sincere repentant.

Last time I checked, flour doesn’t bleed. Leviticus 5:11 But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

You claim Christians say, "Once somebody sins they cannot be righteous any more"? Do you mean like 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins; and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"? If you need more help with what we say, ask me. If you want to know how to become righteous, do what Abraham did: "Abram believed God and it was imputed to him for righteousness." Now here is what rabbis deny. After these things the Word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” The Word of the Lord, Jesus Christ, must come to you, and you must believe in Him.

Isaiah 52, 53... Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted. Just as many were astonished at you, Israel, So His appearance was marred more than any man, His form more than the sons of men. Thus He will sprinkle many nations, Kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; For what had not been told them they will see, And what they had not heard they will understand. Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with pain And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our pain He Himself bore, And our sickness He carried Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living. For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due. His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth. But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. See this is the deal God does want people to confess their sins. But not to a man. see before Jesus people could have probably been right with God if when they sinned that they asked for forgiveness. but how many people confess their sins and said sorry God please forgive me. Probably not very many ever. And what if David truly had a good heart? don't you think that God could forgive him for a sin isn't that what he's doing for us today.

I'm pleased to hear about the freely-given forgiveness of God and agree with you totally. But realize that the New Testament's arguments are in regard to the Law, which has no such mercy apart from blood sacrifice. There's a distinct difference between God and the Law in the treatment of sin. But what good is God's forgiveness of me if I won't accept his equally freely-given forgiveness of others? As a forgiven man, who am I to hold a grudge? That is what Jesus challenged and the apostles expanded upon. Christ wasn't mediating us before God as judge. He was making the case of God's forgiveness before us. We are the judges.

It is hypocrisy to speak about Isaiah talking about sin and not to really speak about Isaiah and THE MEDIATOR - THE INTERCESSOR that Isaiah CLEARLY SPEAKS OF... Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make HIS SOUL AN OFFERING FOR SIN, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Not one word about blood? Liar. What does HIS SOUL AND OFFERING FOR SIN mean? Or HE HATH POURED OUT HIS SOUL UNTO DEATH? It means his blood flowed when he laid down his life for his friends, his elect, as an offering for sin. Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for HE SHALL BEAR THEIR INIQUITIES. Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because HE HATH POURED OUT HIS SOUL UNTO DEATH: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and HE BARE THE SIN OF MANY, and MADE INTERCESSION FOR THE TRANSGRESSORS. Your video is 18 minutes of Talmudic Jewish gobledeegook or a form of watered down Judaism, beating around the bush WHILE ISAIAH IS SO CLEAR TO THE JEWS (AND GENTILES), THE MANY, WHO BELIEVE BY THE GRACE OF GOD. And also ...he bare the sin of MANY... not all, the heresy of Unlimited atonement (God loves all people, Jesus loves all people) therefore flies out of the window, for all the apostate Christians (and even Jews) who teach this heresy that really says that the blood of the Intercessor, Jesus Christ, is worthless and powerless (because he could not save all). True doctrine therefore is Limited (Particular) atonement (for the elect only).

Tovia, you said that there is two mistakes that Christians make about righteousness... First of all you are painting with a broad brush. Just as you had apostate Jews and righteous Jews in the Old testament time, so you also have apostate Christians and righteous Christians (Jews and Gentiles in Christ Jesus) in the New testament time. Yeshua teaches this. Apostate Jews in the Old testament taught heresy (Jeremiah 8&23 for example, Ezekiel 8&34,...) and they continue to do so today, and so do apostate Christians. But righteous Christians (who are righteous in Christ) do not make mistakes like you mentioned. #1 Once somebody sins he cannot be righteous anymore #2 Righteous people do not sin. Righteous Christians do not believe this because for example Romans 6,7&8 teaches us that righteous people do sin, our body is dead because of sin. Apostle Paul gave his own example and his example is like the example of king David and Judah that you mentioned. But yes, you need a mediator. And this mediator is the Son of God who presently sits at the right hand of the Father. King David tells you this... 2Samuel 23:5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow. THE EVERLASTING COVENANT IS THROUGH THE MESSIAH WHO IS THE MEDIATOR. Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Psalm 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Job tells you this... Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. and even Moses tells you this... Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. and the timing of this Prophet is clearly laid out in the Bible... He came before the destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70AD, that is what the prophet Daniel says... Daniel 9:25 KNOW THEREFORE AND UNDERSTAND, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And only Yeshua fulfilled all the prophets prophesied about the Messiah. But you do not believe God, you do not believe David, Job, Moses and Daniel (whom you demoted as a prophet through your human reasoning in unbelief) not to mention all the others. You put your Talmudic sages authority above the authority of the Tanach. And that makes your religion a cult. Jews today who believe God, do not believe the Talmud, and they know that Yeshua is the Messiah, but the apostate Jews continue in their error. SO YES, JUST BE LIKE KING DAVID AND BELIEVE GOD. Even your own blind sages in the Talmud admit that according to Daniel the time of the redemption, the time of the (1st) coming of the Messiah is past but then they conclude in their rebellion against the Messiah... now just do good works and be good Jews... because they do not believe that Yeshua is the Messiah. But you rebel against him and proclaim that there is nothing Hebrew about the epistle to the Hebrews. Of course there is, the problem is, you as a Hebrew are not like the Hebrews of the Old testament, but you are a Talmudic Jew which denies the Tanach. Talmudic Judaism is a cult, because one of the characteristic of cults is that they put the authority of their own books (Talmud), sages, priests,... above the word of God! 1Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

First of all, King David was the King, and although he committed that sin he could not be judged by the earthly law, which was death, but God did punish him, David deserved death, but to whom the punishment was transferred. the death of the son who was conceived in his adultery, in addition, the same prophet told him that what his own son did in secret he would do it in public (2Sam16.23). David's son fornicated with his father's concubines in front of the whole world when he ushered in his father's throne. God forgives, but there are consequences of sin and you have to pay for it, even though God has forgiven you (2Samuel12). Another point, the Torah does not give you the Resurrection of the Dead, YOU DID NOT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Although you were a very good person righteous, for the same reason he placed two angels at the gates of the Garden of Eden so that absolutely no one would enter . Yeshua died to remove that Adamic sin that made us not have resurrection and therefore eternal life. The Valley of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37) there clearly mentions that there was no hope of resurrection for those dry bones, because doing the Torah does not give you resurrection, but God told them that he was going to revive them but he does not say in what time. I was surprised by your comparison of Judah and Tamara with King David. He was totally out of context. Another thing, God stipulated the sacrifice with blood in the time of the Temple as payment for your sin, but, the forgiveness of sin was with repentance. The judge can forgive you because you missed a stop, but you still have to pay the fine.

jeff ouellette I think Rabbi Singer and Rabbi Skobec on Jews for Judaism have done "marvelous" jobs EXPLAINING WHY a "blood atonement" is NOT the ONLY way to atone for one's sins. And, especially a "HUMAN SACRIFICE IS AN ABOMINATION" IN Yahuah's eyes. When Yahuah condemned the Israelites for sacrificing their children to Molech by "passing them through the fire," why on Earth would He go against His own words, and then demand a human sacrifice? Our Creator is NOT "schizophrenic." Here read this: Psalm 51:16-19 New International Version (NIV) 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. 17 My sacrifice, O God, is[a] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. 18 May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar. You see here, from the above verse, that Yahuah does NOT even DESIRE "burnt offerings," but a broken and contrite spirit instead. Also, ALL the "legitimate sacrifices" that the Israelites did bring "once a year" were for UNINTENTIONAL SIN, and they had to be "burnt," and they had to be WITHOUT BLEMISH. The blood was sprinkled on the alter first, and ONLY ANIMALS were used. So called NT Messiah was "beaten beyond physical recognition" according to the Scripture, and was NOT burned, and he was NOT laid on the alter, and in fact died outside the city. The whole NT is "bogus," and is a "complete fabrication" by the Romans, who are to this day, Israel's chief enemy (Esau). The reason Yahuah did NOT allow Father Abraham to sacrifice Isaac his only Son, is to show Abraham that we must NEVER USE A HUMAN SACRIFICE!!! Human sacrifice is a PAGAN SATANIC RITUAL, and has NOTHING to do with Hebrew Israelites. Christianity and Messianic Judaism are "made up religions." Sorry to say.........Shalom!!!

The truth is that we will never know what Jesus thought or taught. The oldest books of the NT are those of paul. He never met Jesus. He created Christianity as a mash up of Judaism and Greek mystery cults. His own books show he is a liar and his stories do not add up. The oldest gospel is the one called “mark”. The newest gospel is the one called John. Each new gospel changed the story of Jesus. It was a free for all and there were many gospels floating around. The ones that were eventually chosen (hundreds of years after Jesus was dead) to be included in the nt were ones that were popular is large and powerful areas and ones that most supported the church’s positions. The idea of trinity was thought up much later. It is so sad that so many good people were lead astray by the church and Roman government. Keep seeking Hashem you are near to Him! ♥️

@@tonithenightowl1836 Yes Judaism was very popular at that time and Jews all over the empire were revolting against the Roman Empire. Just look at some of the “sayings” of Jesus that are very pro Roman: give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s etc. that is pro Roman propaganda inserted into the nt. Christianity was seized upon as a way of stopping the spread of Judaism and giving a pro Roman alternative. It was very successful and had even more success than the secular and military part of the empire. Eventually all of the empires bureaucratic/ intellectual class moved into the church and it was able to enjoy power and prestige while outsourcing the military and civil work to kings (they crowned) of various countries. Rabbi you don't properly read the gospel. New Testament doesn't say that when a believer sins is not righteous anymore, there many verses talking about repentance and God's forgiveness, just to mention few Mark 3: 28, 29; Luk.5:32; 15:10; 1John 1:9; 2:1; Revel.2:5. But true christian believer (born again) don't live sinful life and don't plan to sin. But there are some sins which so easily ensnare us, we repent and forgiven. Hebr.12:1 however as we spiritually grow up, we are finally expected to subdue them. Titus 2:11-12. But if one willfully used to sin cannot be righteous. Hebr.10:26,27.

In the kjv they relied on 47 men in the 1400s to 1700s to translate. so the “ kiss the son” in the original Hebrew text is nowhere . So don’t come at us with your lies and cognitive dissonance and repent and come home. Become a noahide at least. The facts are David did not even have any consciousness of his sin. Murder and adultery. Jews like Singer do not have any consciousness of their sin, it's all hot air and apple pie philosophy with them. It took the prophet of God to bring David's sin home to him. Then he repented. What came first? repentance or forgiveness? Forgiveness came first. David's sin was already put away. So repentance alone is not sufficient. How was David's sin put away or as psalm 32 says covered? what made David righteous before God.? The very thing Singer rejects, despises and scoffs at is what put away David's sin. The blood of atonement. The blood sacrifice. Which David believed in and practised all his life. One thing David did not do which the Jews mostly do is stone, imprison, starve and reject the prophet of God. What prophet did God ever send the Jews who they did not reject? No wonder then when the Messiah appeared among them they rejected Him. One day the Jews will rule the world in righteousness, peace and prosperity "... when they shall see Him"

Yes your sins are forgiven, but you also need to have the inward cleansing of your conscious, mind and emotion and will, because inwardly is the hidden sin where no can see. That is through the fall of the first man Adam, Satan enter into man flesh and then into the mind damaging the body, soul, and resulting into our human spirit becoming deaden,l That y Christ die to become the life-giving Spirit. Because there are laws, acting in us, that is the law of the flesh of the sin, and the law of God which is written in our mind. But Because man is weak in the flesh, we couldn't keep the righteous requirement of the law of God that Christ had to come to die to become the life -giving Spirit to enter into us to regenerate our deaden spirit and to cleanse and purified our conscious from the inward sins. For example I might be are prefect looking person, religious like the Catholics outwardly, praising God, but no one can see my thoughts or what I am thinking. So I would need to be cleanse with the washing of the Holy Spirit. And this is a daily matter. For our mind is weak against the enemy that we need the Spirit to be strengthen from within. For example are person who commits murder over and over would need to receive Christ as his personal Saviour so that Christ can enter into him and regenerate his spirit and strengthen him to fight against the law of the flesh of sin which makes him commit murder against his will. Because man have become damage through the fall.

Janis Hart Jesus was a Karaite Jew. His apostles were all Jews and the first early Christians were all Jews. They all taught from the Greek Septuagint LXX which were the only scriptures available to them since the New Testament had not yet been written. Jesus himself stated "Salvation originates with the Jews". Jesus and his followers taught Judaism. They went faithfully to the temples and observed all the Jewish observances. The only basic difference between the first Christians and the Jews was that the Jews did not accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah and the early Christians did. The same holds true today....not with apostate Christendom, but with TRUE Christians. TRUE modern day Christians still teach the basics of Judaism....the promise of the earth being restored to paradise, the resurrection of the dead from the grave and the promise of God's kingdom putting an end to all man made governments with God's kingdom being established permanently to rule over mankind on the earth. Judaism at its finest. Oh, and like the Jews, TRUE Christians also uphold the Shema of Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel, Jehovah your God is ONE Jehovah". Jesus repeated the Shema at Mark 29:12 where he used the Greek word "HEIS" which means SINGULARLY ONE! Jesus did not worship the Siamese triplet god of the trinity that belongs to apostate Christendom!

The sages are adding more to the scriptures. Jerimiah spoke about the.lying pens of the scribes. But God is not mocked. The question is about why David is righteous and not about Christian's. Christian's are born of God and know God as their Father. He seeks a repentant heart and a humble spirit. A sin must to confessed. If you confess your sins God is faithful and will forgive. 1John 1:9 If we make vidduy of chattoteinu, he is ne'eman and tzaddik to grant selicha of chattoteinu and give us tohorah from kol avon. [DEVARIM 32:4; TEHILLIM 32:5; 51:2; MISHLE 28:13; MICHOH 7:18-20] David was righteous even though he sinned because he was quick to confess and always sought to do the will of God. He was a man after God's heart.

The Law commands people to do EVERYTHING in it to be righteous. Anyone who trusts in the Law is CURSED. This is why Jesus Christ DIED on the CROSS as a CURSE so that we who BELIEVE in Him are REDEEMED from the CURSE of the LAW so that we receive SALVATION by FAITH ALONE. NOBODY is Righteous by the law! Romans 3 “19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.” This is why the Righteousness of God is given FREELY by FAITH that is APART from the LAW. We are JUSTIFIED FREELY by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS and not works.

+Ruth Thompson, I think you should carefully with an open heart listen to what rabbi Singer says. What he is explaining is that according to this passage in Isaiah it is clearly stated that the one who has sinned [and the earlier citation from Ecclesiastes 7:20 shows that anyone, even the righteous one sins] would be forgiven by G-d, if he repents and turns back to G-d, he doesn't need a mediator, he doesn't need a blood sacrifice in order to achieve his own forgiveness from G-d through some other's innocence or sacrifice. That's exactly the point of the video: first, the man, who has sinned, could be again righteous, and second - he doesn't need a mediator, let alone the blood of a sacrificed innocent human being-and-god, to achieve that. What he needs is to do teshuvah, to repent with all his heart. The whole theological idea behind the baptism is the cleaning of the sins through immersing and believing in Christ, who died for the sins of all humanity. That's why in Christianity there is no salvation outside of baptism and belief of the Christ being the Pesach lamb, who is the only way for the human being, full of sins since the Fall of Adam, to be saved, because one can't do it on his own, one needs the sacrifice of Christ. That's the core conviction of Christianity - there is no repentance without baptism and taking Christ as Saviour. What the rabbi is demonstrating, is that if the Christians believe the words of Isaiah are the Word of G-d, then there is a great problem, because they are clearly contradicting to the core christian doctrine of salvation only through Christ.

+gergandi - well said. And may I add, that is how Christian ministers and priests can control people. Once Jesus is made into a god and salvation is only through him, they become ambassadors, so to speak, for Jesus. Hence the congregation better follow them if they really want to avoid going to hell. This is the negative psychology used upon you when you accept Christian idolatry.
