Rabbi Dr. Raphael Zarum is the Dean of the London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS) and the Rabbi Sacks Chair of Modern Jewish Thought, established by Peter and Lonnie Zandan.
At LSJS, Rabbi Dr. Zarum lectures in Jewish education and creative readings of classical texts and also trains teachers, educators and rabbis. He has rabbinic ordination from the Montefiore Kollel, a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from King's College London, an M.A. in Adult Education from University College London, and is a graduate of the Mandel School in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Dr. Zarum is a dynamic and inspiring thinker. He regularly writes for the Jewish press and academic journals and he lectures at diverse institutions around the world.
This lecture is the Marianna and Rabbi Julian B. Feibelman Memorial Lecture presented by Tulane University's Department of Jewish Studies and is sponsored by Shir Chadash, Beth Israel and Touro Synagogues.
The on-going lecture series, which takes place in the Myra Clare Rogers Memorial Chapel, 1229 Broadway, is open to the University community and public at no charge.
