If everybody could afford a v8, everybody would have a v8. I’d really appreciate those with v8’s to stop talking down on those with v6’s. A vehicle is a vehicle. Yours makes more power! Good job👏🏾👍🏾

It's literally a couple grand more. It cost less for the rt than it does to supercharge or turbo and tune your car. Fact of the matter is. People buy a v6. Spend all their money on stupid shit and all that money coulda gotten an 8. Almost every v6 driver is certified rice in their "mods" they'll spend thousands on wraps Amazon wings and stickers and louvers and shit. Fact of the matter is if you can't afford a race car. Then you shouldn't be going after one. Like the guy said. It's a daily. Its got a little bit of power. And it's less expensive than a foreign car and better reliable than most foreign cars especially for power in price range. 25k is a Camry. A charger is way nicer and the motor is just as reliable

@@kylealton4347 I hear you, but going from $29,995 to $36,995 has a major effect when we’re talking about financing. That’s a $500 car note VS a $700-$800 note. I respect what you’re saying and agree to a degree, but everyone can’t afford the hemi and a lot of people like the style of the car. I got lucky and got a 2020 GT for $25,000 thanks to COVID.

@@marcuslawson6800 that is a good deal. But I also know that they can get a few years older rather than buying a car brand new. I mean gas is always an excuse. But if they can't afford gas why are they buying a new car? It's nothing more than a mix between instaclout, ignorance, misplaced trust towards used cars, and fulfilling their ego with getting something new. Now they'll also use the warranty or maintenance plan as an excuse. But most early maintenance services and costs are due to the break in period and nothing other than battery changes and oil changes should really be happening until 50-80k miles. Idk who drives that in 4 years. Not to mention there's full warranty plans for used cars even that are multi tiered to fit budget and go up to a lifetime and can be customized to support aftermarket parts and these warranty plans are less expensive than most dealer warranties unless it's free with signing during some special promotional event. Basically the people I see, and I am talking through personal experience through my own eyes, buy a brand new 6cyl muscle car usually aren't doing anything big with their life. And they always have those same excuses. Like gets better gas mileage. Or the v8 was just more expensive ect.

While I usually enjoy your videos, I have to take exception to the condensing tone of this video. I'm 65 years old and have been going to the dragstrip since the early 70's. One thing that I always loved about drag racing and cruising in general is that there was always a place for everyone, regardless of the type of car you chose to run. I raced a 65 Chevy Impala Super Sport with a swapped in 427 and Muncie 4 spd as my first strip car and daily cruiser. Because of the high level of competition in the large V8 classes, I had limited success at Englishtowns Raceway Park. As my Impala was being repaired, I bought a used Chevy Vega with a 4 cyl and 4 spd, to drive around while I spent my free time working on the Impala. One weekend, while waiting on head work for my main ride, we went to the dragstrip just to watch, in the Vega. Racing wasn't busy for some reason and just for kicks, we ran the Vega. I still have that old faded time slip for its first run...18.563 @ 78 mph 😳 . After that run, we took out the spare tire and all the other junk, and I advanced the timing 4 degrees. We knocked a full second off our time and added 1 mph. Well, I was hooked. It wasn't long before I sold the Impala and started racing the little Vega every weekend. 4 barrel manifolds, headers, HEI ignition, etc... Because we changed to bracket racing, I had more success in that little Vega, then I ever had in the Big Block Impala and it was a lot more fun. Plus we had to innovate a lot because not many people were racing Vegas. My point is, Hotrodding has ALWAYS welcomed Everyone, regardless of what you were running. Just because you have a V8, doesn't make you "King of the Hill". Lots of people race 6 cylinders and 4 cylinders, it all depends on what you get into and what draws you to Cruising and Racing. Your video would have been much better served, if you had actually shown what is available to the V6 crowd, what the best "Bang for the Buck" mods are, whats available, etc... Last weekend, I traded in my 2018 Mustang GT for a 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT, having done a lot of research on the Pentastar V6 and the Challenger in general. I bought it so that I could take my 2 teenage children with me when I go cruising and in the future, to the dragstrip. I had the money for a Scat Pack, but dismissed it because I wanted a base trim level so I could build it the way I wanted. The only addition I added was the Premium Sound System with Navigation, because I wanted to have decent tunes while I planned out my project. I now enjoy taking the Wife and Kids cruising around the beach cities of Florida. I think you do some great videos and have enjoyed watching them, but remember, it would be a boring sport and hobby if everyone showed up to the track in Hellcats, SS Camaros and Mustang GTs. Diversity makes the sport and everyone's is welcome.

IF, you buy for practicality and reliability, then yes, I agree with almost everything you said, however, where I think you miss is for those who buy because they can't afford the higher trims. Seems we sometimes look at it as a total sum up front. Spend 35K on the already fast car, or spend 35K on a slow car and all the mods for it, (hence all the 'you shoulda just bought a x') but it doesn't work that way. Sometimes people don't have that money to borrow or put out up front. The mods are spread out over what can be years sometimes. So for them, I say yes, if the V6 is all you could get, and you don't care for a smooth reliable car, and care more about going as fast as you can, mod the hell out of it. I was one of those people, it took me 20 years to finally get an "SRT level" (not an SRT, don't want to start a fight here lol) car in my 1320. Before now, I just had to make do with what I could afford or what the banks said I could afford. Sometimes that meant modding up cars or trucks that most people would say is stupid to mod up.

@@RacerX9 Ripp did their homework on the v6. They are still very reliable with the supercharger and you don't have to do anything after the supercharger kit unless you want more power. But for it to be supercharged you can daily it and have more fun in it. Ripp has tested and proving it to still be reliable. But if your going to the track all the time and ruff on it all the time yes it will need to be built to handle it. But my SXT plus has 70,000 miles on it and it is mostly stock and still runs like a top and fun still to drive. When I'm on the road working I sit there think of a Scat pack or a Hellcat to replace the SXT but then when I'm home and get in the SXT I fall in love with it all over again.

I have a 2008 Dodge Charger SXT with the 3.5L V6. Its a nice comfortable ride and it has made me change my views on getting an older muscle car. I like the car for what it offers. It was priced right. It looks awesome. A V8 would have been great, but would have cost much more than I was willing to spend at the time. Now that I have the money to upgrade, I am considering what is best for my family. Wanted an SRT8 Challenger and opted for a V6 Charger. At 44 years old, I no longer feel the need to do 0 to 60 in 5 seconds. But, if i feel the need to punch it on the highway... I will get there quicker than most. Or at least most of the cars I remember when I was younger... Runs the same 1/4 mile time as my neighbors 95 Chevy Impala SS. But I always hear that I should have bought an RT, SRT or Hellcat... you can't please everyone. Just get what makes you happy and enjoy it.

Right now you can only get an all-wheel-drive challenger in V6 that’s what I got and where I live the streets are covered in ice right now the all-wheel-drive challenger handles great but in a world with Lancer evolutions and Subaru STI‘s cruising the frozen streets with their all wheel drive if one of them gaps you you’re being laughed at and told your car is a piece of garbage after pudding A ripp supercharger in my V6 pushes more than 400 wheel horsepower and the torque is over 360. Properly installed and maintained your supercharger will last the life of the engine. I’ve had it on for a year so far and no problems just sad guys in 4 Bangerz who can’t keep up. Lots of guys have modify their V6 without any problems and you don’t have to go completely overboard with it.

Exactly! I'm 48. I just purchased an sxt, and I'm not trying to make the traveling roads a drag strip. But, later, if I wanted to boost the power and output of my ride, there is that option. Back when I was growing up, I owned a couple of old-school classic and antique cars that I modified; one was a 66 impala, and the other a 77 pontiac grand prix with a 88 oldsmobile engine...both were stolen. At any rate, I grew up going to car shows with my dad where vehicle mechanical components (engine and all) would be totally chromed out with mirrors beneath to see it all, we would also go to drag strips and go to the pit and mechanics were proud to tell you about their mods, they feel, that gave them an edge. As you said, all engine classes were accepted. There's nothing wrong with buying a fully tuned V-8 that's ready to go to the strip right off the showroom floor, but you bought it like that and had no involvement with how it performs, so you can't brag about it! My dad was a street racer in his youth and always kept a classic car in the driveway when I was growing up that he constantly tuned. A lot of my friends and I did the same, and it was normal for you not to let others see what you had under the hood. Modifications are synonymous with the muscle car industry! That's most of the fun! To be called a grease monkey used to be a badge of honor and to brag about what you did to make your car faster gave you real clout. But now you mostly have people who know little about cars and are buying all their muscle ready-to-go, but want to talk down to others with v6 or other stock engines. Please!

Book says 300HP for 2018 GT AWD.....during test drive and transit from dealer back to home I hit 307 for a couple of seconds during acceleration. What’s weird is that normal cruise even running around 70-75MPH after hitting 8th gear and level surface the HP gauge was indicating about 40-60HP......and still getting high 20’s MPG. Tough to argue with 25-30 MPG and comfortable smooth ride. Leather, heated....includes steering wheel, NAV, Ventilated seats, SIRIUSXM radio, split folding rear seats etc..... Originally was looking for R/T HEMI but C/V took to long and not overly transparent with reason for delay....Ironically about two hours after I canceled the order I got another delay message. GT was three mode years newer and almost 30K less miles. Only thing I lost from the R/T was the HEMI, 20’s ( GT has same wheels but 19”) and Moonroof.....ph wait one more thing the GT had for advantage.....in stock and immediately available.

Finally a set of sport Toyo tires to max fit 245 55 18. Racer is on the money with this review. I couldn't be more pleased with the overall look, sound and performance as non racer enthusiast. Anything more than this needs to skip all those expensive turbo/super chargers and go straight to the RT. in the end, it's cheaper. Great vid man!!

Tony Wolf are you that ignorant? Get a real muscle car with a v8...until you get passed in your outdated r/t by a supercharged v6 that cost less as a whole including with the supercharger price included...if you have the funds to get a v8, of course go with the v8. But if you don’t have the extra 6K to spend for an outdated engine or 10k for a nicer v8 then the v6 is plenty to have fun and even beat v8s when supercharged.

@@conorfinlay6653 People don't like to understand that a ripp is supercharger combined with the price of the sxt is literally less if not the same worst case scenario slightly more than a R/T. However its cheaper than the scatpack, has more HP than the R/T leaving you with more money so spend if you save or decide to get something in between a r/t / scat pack. PS. to everyone. the sxt has more HP than the original muscle cars. I love this. I have a 2020 charger sxt because it was affordable. I crunched the numbers and would be paying $400 for insurance and $1060 for monthly compared to what i pay now. Plus i make $13h so yea I got in where I fit in. I always get crap like " just buy a v8, your car sucks, if you cant afford a v8 then don't buy a charget" like it's my money and if I want to buy a v6 and mod it overtime, then I will. I'm happy with mine. Plus it sounds great. Will post video of my new muffler in a few.

Just letting everyone know that Peugeot and FCA merged so the new company is called Stellantis so who knows what’s going to happen with the Pentastar and Hemi. So now back to this video the V6 has always been around with the V8’s since the early pony wars. It’s always been the same in sales terms back then and still now. The Big three sold the most V6’s than V8’s not everyone is a street racer or drag racer. A Challenger V6 Pentastar to boost cost about 6k to 8k with a Ripp Supercharger gives you 425WHP+ and a Prodigy Twin Turbo gives you 506WHP. That’s more than a stock ScatPack which gives you 331WHP plus a Scatpack 6.4 is not cheap to modify for boosting, to play it safe and get the increased power you have to do forged internals, intake exhaust etc, but you will still have to be careful because 6.4 Hemi doesn’t take boosting kindly your asking “the more power, the more things than can break”. You will have to upgrade to a Hellcat or a Demon to get more WHP power and don’t worry about all that modifying on a Scatpack. But all V8’s regardless you will still spend more money on modifying, gas, maintenance repairs, insurance, car payments. Plus the V6 Pentastar Challenger takes boost better and will still be reliable. Boosting the V6 Pentastar you will still save money on mods, gas, maintenance repairs, insurance and car payments. I understand it won’t sound like a V8 but that’s an easy fix just install a Borla ATTAK to get a nice profile sound and still have the looks of a bad ass last of its kind modern muscle cruiser car built today.

Boosting a v8 on 6-7 lbs of boost safely will have the same results. You can get slightly more boost out of the v6 because the rods come forged from the factory. The scat pack does fine depending on the years it was produced to the ring gapping and spacing on the piston. The 5.7 loves boost and nitrous. Every car can be modded to what you want but to compare reliability and pricing that is really hard because there are so many factors. The 5.7 and 6.4 are not hard to cam and tune and you can make around the same hp as a ripp. That is also dependent on the cam and all that but still. And dont get me started on prodigy lol

Wonderful explanation and I couldn't agree more with you more. I personally think that dodge/FCA did really well with the engine and trims. The v6's are fantastic for letting people get into the cars and have some fun. The srt's are at a great price to give you more power then you can get out of the v6's for a better price then going the power upgrade way. The hellcats/demons/redeyes are great for those how can afford and want that power more then the v6/6.4's can offer for the same price in mods. If you need more then that, a slightly modified 1000hp hellcat like Xcesiv is very achievable. And let's not forget how absolutely insane 1000hp truly is. (I also kinda feel the same way about chevy/ford.) All in all I think this past decade has been one of the largest automotive reforms for the absolute better (that 100% includes E.V.s in my oppion) Take care X. As always, Keep Smiling

I bought a V6 Ram after owning 3 hemi Rams. 99 percent of the time I never miss the power...but sometimes I do. I had a new Ranger and you could add 60-80hp with a $400-$500 tuner. That thing was a riot but just too small for my needs. There's really no cheap path to make significantly more power from a Pentastar. I've priced intakes and throttle bodies and coil packs and tunes and it would take thousands of dollars to make hemi power at the cost of a voided warranty and loss of long term reliability. She's staying stock.

Everything that you can basically do that doesnt require you to rip apart the block i.e. Intake, Exhaust, Tune, etc. will not affect the general performance of the engine itself, once you start changings stuff within the engine, like he said, cams for instance, its Pandora's Box, it will never run the same way ever again, and good luck trying to get a dealer to sell it off. If you want to put a Cold Air on it? go for it, its an interchangeable part, doesnt hurt anything, want a nice exhaust for that deep throaty noise? go for it, its not affecting the engine, but will increase power and torque because and for instance if you put a performance muffler on the Chargers and delete anything that is restrictive, with the exception of the Cats, and straight pipe it, its going to have better air flow all around. The car will breathe better, a long with putting a nice tune on the vehicle, I recommend for the V6s a Diablo 87 Octane Tune, you can do 93, but it might damage the engine over time, as the Pentastars are only built to use the regular gas, not a higher octane. You do this, and your car will drive better. For me for instance I have a 2013 Charger V6 with a Diablo 87 Tune, and a Flowmaster Exhaust, I plan to put on a K&N CAI with an 80mm Throttle Body, all that is interchangeable and will help the car breathe better, if you want to go further, you can do RIPP Coils with the NGK Spark Plugs for a little more WHP but besides that I can push at least 340 in my V6, maybe another 10HP with the cold air should i end up getting it, other than that if you choose to supercharge a V6, your stupid, just get a Hellcat at that point

Real simple. Buy a v8 for 8000 more. Or a v6 with a $3k turbo and get more hp oh and better gas mileage. Nothing will beat a v8 sound but Supra’s and skylines have proven v6s can do more than keep up. I won’t get started on EVs. The old saying, there’s no replacement for displacement is just that, old. A RT charger makes 370hp and 395ft. Lbs. weighs 4,291 lbs. A V6 makes 300hp and 296 ft. Lbs. weighs 3,964 lbs. Add a Borg Warner turbo for $2100 and add roughly 170 actual hp (kits say 250hp gain but that’s with a crazy boost and compression, not practical for everyday use).I’ve saved $5000 weigh roughly 300lbs less and I still get much better gas mileage then that RT that was 8k more. Oh and there’s a twin turbo v6 charger out there pushing 507hp that costs half of a scat pack. Stop shitting on V6s

As an owner of a 2014 V6 Mustang that I modded, I can tell you from a financial perspective it isn't worth it. I supercharged mine and it makes about 420 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. It will run anywhere from a 12.2 to 12.5 depending on the density altitude. The car will run 12.2s when the DA is less than 1000 and 12.5s will be the ETs in 3000+ DA. The times are respectable and the car is fairly quick for what it is. If I had to do it all over gain, I would have bought the Mustang GT in 2014 and with bolt ons, it would have cost about the same and the ETs would be similar. The Mustang GT holds its value far better than the V6. A heavily modded car actually depreciates faster in value than when it is stock. If I had to do it all over I would have bought the V8. If I would mod my V6 Mustang knowing what I know now, I would have gone with a turbo because turbos are more efficient and the car would be about 3/4 of a second quicker in the quarter mile. When it comes to modding V6s the Camaro and Mustangs are better to mod than Chargers, Challengers, and Chrysler 300s. The Mopars are heavy and the biggest weakness of the Pentastar is low end torque. Camaros and Mustang weigh 3,400 to 3600 pounds depending on how they're equipped versus about 4000 pounds for the Mopars. There is more aftermarket support for the V6 Fords and Chevys than there is for the Mopars. Mopars start at about a 400 pound deficit versus the Mustangs and Camaros. The design of the engine is also an obstacle for the Pentastar because the exhaust manifold is part of the cylinder head. You can't put long tube headers on the Pentastar. Because of the exhaust manifold design of the Pentastar, it doesn't lend itself to turbo charging. The exhaust manifold for the Pentastar is very restrictive and the pressure on the hot side would be very high increasing the likelihood of burning valves. The V6 Mopars have open differentials while Camaros and Mustangs come with limited slip differentials. Mopar offers a very limited selection of gear ratios. You can supercharge the Pentastar with a Ripp or Sprintex kit. It will drive like a stock V6 at low RPM and will be sluggish out of the hole. The supercharged V6 just won't perform like a V8 and mod for mod the gap between the V8 and V6 grows. You can overcome the horsepower deficit of the V6 with boost. However, there is a good chance you will stretch the head bolts and you'll end up with coolant in the cylinders. Based on my experience, don't mod any V6, especially the Pentastar. If you supercharge the Pentastar by the time your done, you will spend at least R/T money. The R/T is a far better platform than the Pentastar V6. If you want performance, the Scat Pack is the best value for the money if you want a Mopar. If all you can afford is the V6, buy it, add a few appearance mods and enjoy it. The Pentastar is a good, reliable engine for a daily driver. If you must mod something with less than 8 cylinders, mod an Ecoboost Mustang. For less than $30,000, you can buy the car, add about $3,000 in performance mods, and easily run deep into the 12s.

@@nightmare3.7cyclone24 - When it comes to elapsed times, weather conditions and location also factors. The times I provided were under normal conditions. If I used negative density altitudes and/or raced at sea level, my times would be faster. I'm sure it's possible to get 12.4 all motor. If you were able to do that, the times you ran would put you in the top 10 for a naturally aspirated V6 Mustang. I prefer my set up because of what you'd have to do to get a 3.7 Mustang to run 12.4s on all motor. I race with a full interior and I don't use skinnies. I haven't done any weight reduction and it is fully equipped right down to the power seats and Shaker sound system. It has the performance package that adds more weight. My car is running low boost so it is still reliable. If they had E-85 available in my part of the country, my car would be .3 to .4 of a second quicker. If I increased boost, reduced weight, and installed long tubes I could get the car to run mid 11s. However, my car would no longer be enjoyable to drive. It's a nice cruiser that has power when I want it. It's a matter of what you want.

Another excellent video! I think the DOHC 3.6 Pentastar is an excellent engine. I have driven a Ram 1500 that had one. It was pretty capable. With that though, my personal opinion is, at least for these cars, the good old fashioned push rod 5.7 /R/T as the starting trim. I'll admit I'm personally biased towards the Challenger. In my mind the V6 just doesn't compute for that car. IMO the 392 is the optimal choice. I'd certainly not pass up a 5.7 though. Push rod engines will give you that low end torque, while you'll need to rev that DOHC 3.6 allot higher. I think that's why a 5.7 will get the drop on a 3.6 NA every time. Have an awesome weekend Racer X!

I own a 2015 challenger sxt. The 3.6 originally called the Phoenix now called the pug. So this engine is a beast. This engine is stronger than the 5.7. From the dealership any of them you can change 2 gears Top gear and overall gear ratio from the RT. Same 2 gears can be swapped from the scat to the RT. ONLY THOSE MODELS HAVE THAT OPTION. I have those 2 gears from a RT in my SXT and yes it stays nose to nose with the RT. Dodge knows this very well. Take the upper and lower intake manifold from a Pacifica and there's your 2nd mod. Install the RT 85mm throttle body 3rd mod. Cold air intake 4th. Exhaust 5th. All together less than $2,200. Now you have a sleeper. With those first 5 you gain around 110hp. Add your tunes to gain an extra 120 hp. 2021 or 2022 Straight 6 turbo is what you'll see in your RTs 425 hp. 5.7 will be gone. Because gen 5.7 hemi is a nightmare and a horrible design flows through out that engine. From the tube above the crank and the valleys beside the intakes traps oil never lubes correctly which is why cams need to be replaced pistons get destroyed the injectors to syphon the trapped oil suck ass. But the 3.6 has so much potential and strength that dodge realized they oops big time making this engine because they built a 6cyl that is better and faster than the 5.7.

Can you explain to me what is it called to get those 2 gears from the dealer. Also how can those 2 gears from a RT fit on a SXT if it’s not the same automatic transmission? What are the 2 gears part numbers and how much is it? You mentioned change the 2 gears from a RT to the SXT why not get the 2 gears from the Scat pack to SXT wouldn’t it make it better? What year of the Pacifica and part numbers we need to get for the upper and lower intake manifold also how much are those parts? How can you install a RT 85MM throttle body to a SXT if it’s not the same engine? You mentioned that adding 5 mods will gain around 110HP. I don’t think by adding those 2 gears will gain any HP. Also there’s video’s about people swapping the newer version of the upper and lower intake manifold and they felt no HP gains only better response. There is no 85MM throttle body for the 3.6 V6 only a 78MM or 80MM and you might just gain like 5 to 10HP. The cold air intake is well known on KZfaq of people not noticing any gains of HP only better sound and response. Same thing with the exhaust no gains just a profile sound. So I don’t know where are you getting 110HP gain with these 5 mods and a tune that will additionally add another extra 120 HP all this for $2200 like you said. I think the cost is way more than that plus labor, tax etc. I don’t understand what you are trying to say about 2021 and 2022 straight 6 turbo on RT’s 425HP. The RT’s never had a straight 6 turbo only a V8 Hemi.

My first Mopar was a 2012 3.6 challenger. It was smooth felt quick on the highway it was a very nice looking car. One thing that bothered me was the sound of the 3.6 v6 does not match the size of the vehicle at all. No matter which exhaust system I've listened too the v6 always sounded to tiny for me. I traded it in and got a 2014 challenger rt and it was every thing I loved about the v6 but with AMAZING torque and the Hemi sounds perfect with this big vehicle I'm now in a 2014 charger rt max and it still brings me joy to stomp on the gas and feel that hemi slam me in my seat. I have a 300S with the 3.6. I ran into a "racer" boy with a obviously built Neon. I've tormented him for weeks trying to get by me. The Pentastar is a gem. Off the line or on the pass, love the power. And it's still stock. Adding an intake and maybe a tune, but you're right. It's the perfect balance 👌

Dude, you can't put headers on a 3.6. The manifolds are molded into the head castings, it uses two separate heads. It's actually a very good system because the heads are high flow. Wow, for telling everyone what they should do with these cars, you sure don't know anything about them. Or about the most popular engine Chrysler makes. The Pentastar 3.6 is one of the most advanced engines today in the world, and I'm not the only one saying it. It's won awards over the years. It has very high compression and iron liners. The block is made out of high-pressure die cast aluminum. That's suspension grade, pal. It has 6 bolt mains in it. Four bolt mains with two cross bolts. Rock solid bottom end. Did your dealer know that? It also has forged rods and is 70 pounds lighter than the 3.5 engine it replaced, 29% more powerful, and 11% more efficient on gas. Did your dealer know that? Forged rods pal. The engine is bullet proof, totally. Are you learning here son, or am I just pissing you off? The only problem they have under a supercharger, if they have one at all, are soft head bolts which are easily fixed by stronger head bolts. The only thing you can do to modify them at all, is a cold air intake, exhaust, ported throttle body and intake manifold, supercharger. and THAT'S IT! No one cuts cams for this engine and I mean NO ONE. Why does Dodge have the entire aftermarket shut down of engine mods for the 3.6? Don't you find that odd considering these are the most popular engines Dodge makes? You'd think mods would be everywhere. I saw that video where the V-6 took out your Scat Pack. Even only once, but that dude didn't have the ported manifolds or throttle body. He only had the Ripp on his car, and a really big mouth. In fact, I got to watch two people with very big mouth's saying nothing. If he actually knew what he was doing and had taller gears in it, who knows how many more times he could have beat you. But no fear, big mouth no longer even has the car. But I know he must have really rattled you. Despite Dodge's patents, trademarks and marketing agreements, ANY engine can be supercharged and that's just what Ripp Mods did. And they couldn't have picked a better engine to do it with. So, now do you understand why Dodge has a total lock-down of engine mods. If they ever supercharged one of these from the factory, you might as well say goodbye to the R/T. And probably the Scat Pack. They'd have to start at the Hellcat, the other supercharged car. Are you getting the point here? Dodge doesn't care about you, they certainly don't care about the resale value of your car. Worse, buying a brand new GT and doing everything I mentioned? Would be LESS THAN HALF that of a Hellcat, or is that a Rebel, or is that a Red Eye, or is that a a Demon, or this that a what? You can't even keep up with Dodge. They do everything they can do to kill the value of the car you bought, no matter what it is. Do you realize they have 12 different models of the Challenger alone? I'll bet even Jay Leno has given up on Dodge. What's next, the Mad Max blacktop edition with 1,000 horsepower? Doesn't sound far fetched, does it. Anyway, plenty of reasons for Dodge NOT to allow mods to the 3.6. Don't you agree? And since we're on the subject of your beloved Dodge, why do NONE of the Hemi's have dual overhead variable timing cams? Ask your dealer that. Why do they continue to be such pigs on gas, you have to pay a separate tax on them. They're antiques compared to the 3.6. They're antiques compared to my old 2006 Chevy Impala SS. That's a 2006, 14 year old tech that Dodge still doesn't have and you want to promote them?! The Pentastar 3.6 has dual overhead variable timing with 2 stage cams. It won an award for that. Does your dealer know anything about that? Do you? You've never even heard of it, have you? Ripp superchargers can turn the 3.6 all the way up to 550 horsepower. Out of a 220 cubic inch motor. Can you imagine that? They should sell these as crate motors. I remember 1 hp per cube was the Golden Goose. Over two, brings the term efficiency a whole new meaning. And, the Hellcat shouldn't need one more ounce of fuel, just to move it, than a GT, and VVT dual overhead cam is how you do it. Supercharged or not. One day, when the bottom falls out of all this, they'll supercharge the GT. And the bottom will fall out. The people will get sick of losing half their value the first two years. I just saw an 18 Hellcat for sale with 7 thousand miles on it, never been hit, for 22,000 dollars and I should have bought it, but I need another car that can't be driven in the Winter like I need a hole in the head. And I'm NOT giving up my 02 Prowler for a dime a dozen Hellcat. Selling Hellcat is not going to last forever, any of them. And do you know what does hold it's value? The V-6's, that's what. My 18 GT Plus is worth more than that Hellcat. And that's not only pathetic, it should be criminal. Even NCIS got rid of the Hellcat. Why? Because they're a dime a dozen now. Now they're even in Jeeps and Trucks and here you are, cheering away. It's enough to make me sick. Anything to kill the value of your 80,000 dollar Hellcat. You sound like you work for Dodge. The propaganda you wrote to Dodge made me want to vomit. I couldn't even watch it all. Dude, they don't care at all about you and you should already know this instinctively. What's wrong with you? IT'S ONLY A CAR! If it becomes your life, you need your old life back. The first time they really screw you over and they will, YOU NEED YOUR OLD LIFE BACK. God help you if your engine blows even ONE day out of warranty. Do you think your dealer would be your "best" friend if you started promoting supercharging the 3.6? Not on your life. And you do realize, the vast majority of your audience has the V-6. No, Dodge makes all their money on the stupid people who buy the R/T, and then the Scat Pack, and then the Hellcat, and then the Demon, and then the Red Eye, and then the Mad Max Blacktop edition. Enough for FIVE homes and they want you to spend it on cars? Cars that lose half their value the first four years. Almost the worst in the industry. Are you starting to see how all this works yet? Once the R/T and Scat Pack stop selling, Dodge will supercharge the GT and the only thing they'll do to it is put in stronger head bolts. It's only a matter of time. What will that do to the value of your Scat Pack? That's the least thing they care about and you know it. As a Hellcat owner I'd be livid they put these things in the whole fleet. LIVID! And they knew they were going to do it the whole time. Thank god the Hellcat doesn't come in AWD.

Great info! I gave my daughter my 2016 charger since she started driving this year. She wanted a louder exhaust so I put a better exhaust in there but I also wanted to install the following as well: Cold Air Intake, larger throttle body, Accel coil packs, and iridium spark plugs. Do you think these would make a difference in performance? I don’t want her car to be extremely fast, just maybe improve the performance a little but nothing drastic. She doesn’t drive the car like a maniac as my wife and I have the Life 360 app and monitor her driving but sometimes I still drive the car. 😂

Remember everyone. Hotroding is about YOUR CAR, YOUR VISION.. Don't listen to others, build what you want or can!! This comes from the mechanic of the FASTEST 3.8 S.B.E. full-body 2015 Challenger!! Be unique in life, anyone can buy a v8 but how many walk the big three at will? Lol..... How manybof us can stalk selected Maserati cars, open our hoods just to reveal the same motor. The pentastar in 100% stock firm will swallow 200hp of power adder. In a healthy motor your first failure will be head gaskets, headbolts, then pistons around the 580-630hp mark. Then about every rod will twist at 600+ mark. You can easily fix all this with the great folks at prodigy.

Should’ve just been ended at the fact an R/T runs you roughly 6-7k more MSRP (Base Model) than a V6 the price of a supercharger, for more power, better fuel economy, and lower maintenance costs. Now if you don’t want to mod and have a warranty get a v8 and enjoy what you drive.

Corrections: The engine on these can SAFELY handle 30 pounds of boost straight from the factory. It’s 1-4 thousand dollars for superchargers AND IT COULD BE LESS DEPENDING ON IF YOUR DOING WORK YOURSELF, you said headers? These don’t have headers they have a single exhaust manifold. You can get 500 horsepower from a single supercharger compared to paying for the 370 ish horsepower that a stock RT makes.

Few flaws in this content... they do not make headers nor cams that I know of. You can obtain R/T level traps without the need of boost. I believe I proved that Naturally Aspirated. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds N/A.
