For me the T/A is the better looking package altogether.

There is also a unique T/A decal inside the inner headlight on the driver's side. That headlight is also hollowed out to feed air into the intake like a Hellcat as well. I have pitch black 2021 Challenger T/A with the manual and love it. The T/A package was a lot cheaper before because it came with the houndstooth cloth seats without getting another seating package. Personally I prefer the cloth seats anyway. Still have the heated seats and steering wheel.

I have a 70 T/A that's been in the family since my grandfather bought it from the original owner in 71. Its the car that made me fall in love with cars. My dad told me that the first time I saw it was when he pulled it out of the garage to give it a wash. I was very very young, but came out of the house to see what all that loud noise was and stopped dead in my tracks when it came into sight. I just stared at it totally transfixed. After a couple mins I walked around it, and at that point he knew what I would grow up to be into, but little did he know how far down that rabbit hole I would go doing lots of motor swaps, drag racing, drifting and even building and racing a toyota/nissan frankenstein in Lemons. As a kid I always liked the look of the AAR 'Cuda over the T/A, especially the hood but after driving it as a grown up, there's something about that snorkel paired with the beautiful exhaust tone that's just so badass. As far as these new ones go, I really like what they did with the T/A. While its way more comfortable than the homologation that the 70 was, it still has the elements and details that the original took into consideration. Only thing I wish they had done from the factory was the side exhaust, but hey, that's nothing a couple hundred bucks and a few hours on a weekend can't fix. Nice video and comparison!

I got my 2018 T/A Challenger in pitch black and I love it!

Love my 392 T/A. I live in DFW and have yet to see another T/A in Green Go (Only 300 or so were made for 1 model year). I don't think the package is as worth it as it was for the 17/18 as its mostly just an appearance package now, but for the 17/18 it was its own trim level and included the Dynamics package with the bigger brembo brakes, lower suspension with the ride settings, the functional hood scoop intake, the headlight intake tube, and the 275 wide tires and wheels.

The 2017 & 2018 Challenger T/As are better imo, as they came with what is now known as the dynamics package, as standard. As well as functional headlight intake holes. I believe they came standard with hood pins as well.

I have a 2020 T/A in indigo blue. Love it. I did some research on it and can’t find 2020 numbers but in 2019 they only made 30 T/A 392 in my color. Said 2020 numbers were lower because of Covid. So think I’ll keep it. Love your channel!!!

You can get the TA with a manual transmission, 275s and a 392 that just screams fun to me.

I love both packages. I had an 06 Charger Daytona in TorRed...1 of 2000 that I traded in for my Challenger Hellcat several years ago. One thing I liked about the 1st gen Daytona packages from 06-09 were the color matching interior and numbered dash plaque. Although the newer ones have an upgraded interior it lacks that jolt of color. I love my Challenger Hellcat now and the T/A package is pretty cool. I remember rumors of an ACR version that would put the car on a diet and really focus on handling. Unfortunately it never came to fruition but its something that reminds me of the original T/A from 1970 ❤

I bought my TA 392 new in 2018, during the original run they were different from scatpacks with functional cold air intake headlight, wider tires and different rim design, lower suspension than scatpack, hood pins and TA seats. I'm mad dodge brought it back but now all it is, is just a sticker package nothing different about it anymore since they put all those pieces on all their cars now. It would have been nice to make the actual TA hood an option instead of the AAR cuda style hood they slapped on everything

If it were available equipped as such, I'd get a mono color Charger Scatpack WB with a Tremec 6-speed, and none of those frivolous graphics packages. I know! 8 speed Torqueflite is the only available transmission for Chargers, but it would be awesome if you could order one of those 4 door muscle cars with a manual.

I also think it's cool that the TA has a functioning hood scoop and the air intakes in the parking lights. All that air can't hurt!!

Because my 2018 Daytona 392 has the those same original wheels, but I thought they changed them on later models. Did they bring them back or have these always been for the Daytona? Thx

Charger Daytona 392 was worth it. Looks better than a normal Scatpack.

I have the 2018 Challenger RT/TA and I love it. It's the best car I have ever owned and still own. I almost got the Charger Daytona, but the dealership only had it in silver and I was trading in a 2006 Charger STX for it. I wanted the Challenger more.

Loved my 16 scat challenger 6 speed manual but honestly get a used older one practically the same car as a 2023 model for half the price!

Got me a 22’ Daytona 5.7 as my first car with actual power. It was definitely overpriced, I see 23’ Scats going for cheaper than what I paid but this was during the chip shortage era, love my car tho :)

B5 TA checking in. Only gripe is that I wish they did a few more things to match the Daytona in terms of details. Daytona seats have different pleating and details, plus you get a Daytona badge on the dash. TA just gets the same suede seats with TA embroidered and “challenger” on the dash and start is splash screen. I guess the exterior is really where it shines with the stripe and blacked out portions. The TA package on the widebody went up 1200 this last year and they took away options. Oh well, I still love mine

Daytona package is pretty worth cuz you're getting Performance Handling Package, as well as the Plus Package, which about costs the same as Daytona Package combined, with the bonus wrap, and interior / badge.

Had a 20' TA 5.7 with all the performance packages. Absolutely loved it! Not as much as I enjoy my 21' 1320 tho. Was it worth the extra money...at the time, yes.

Both are good looking cars. As far as the Daytona, i dont care for the fact that they're not limited editions anymore. Like you said, the original in '69 was a limited number, in 2010 when it came back it was limited, and in '13 also limited. Granted, '10 and '13's are only in R/T trim, it was still an "appearance package", just as they are now, just now available with the 6.4. I have a blue '13 Daytona, only 1 year of production for that body style(same for '10 model year), only available in 4 colors, white, billet silver, pitch black, and daytone blue. Numbered dash plaque. The newer models have more 'performance options' than the others, but, that's the same across the board with any trim level. The '13 didn't even have the SRT pages, just sport mode and paddle shifters.(if you wanted the 6.4, with performance pages, you had to go with the Super Bee.) So, while i agree that the newer models are cool, the older models are a little more unique.

The widebody T/A in gold rush or whatever is the only car id take in trade for my black one. A fairly rare 50th edition.

I am a big fan of the T/A package in the brighter colors. Such good looking cars

I wanted the TA challenger scatpack, but now its priced out to 70k for the trim and extras I wanted. Instead I've ordered a GR86 so I can still have a manual that doesn't put me in the poor house.

I got a 2021 rt Daytona and mine has a suede roof and a carbon fiber dashboard but everything else is the same.

The T/A package makes the hood scoop functional.

Had the T/A package and worried about that satin every day of my life. It eventually got scratched (by a plumber walking past it of all things) and had a body shop basically say they couldn't take the job, that it was "basically a giant sticker." No idea how true that is if you live in an area with more options, but now I have regular glossy all over and knowing any body shop in the world could fix it makes me feel much better. That said, the matte finish looked SO good on that T/A. I think T/As are best for guys who garage keep theirs and never park it anywhere risky, otherwise I'd say pass. PS - You have to hand dry METICULOUSLY every single time on the satin or else it water spots like nothing I've ever seen before. I like being able to wash my regular gloss now and let it air dry. Another reason the T/A should only be owned by guys who baby every single inch of the car at all times.

I didn't really care for the retro challenger for years until I saw a widebody T/A, that did it for me... Then I realized the security issues with these cars and that undid it for me, still an awesome looking car but that doesn't justify the anxiety of what happens to them for me...

I have a 22' TA392 and I love it. Overall it =is= an aesthetics package - it used to be unique from what I read in that it was the option for a Scat or R/T trim that gave the vehicle upgraded Air, 6piston brakes, lowered suspension, etc back when they were first available for order, now those options are readily available outside the TA package. I still ordered the TA knowing all that already, even went out to get the full kit plus adjustable suspension added. Just true retro look that really pops and hope to have side exit exhausts done by mid December just like the true TAs from back in the day. My only complaint is that on the WB challengers, the TA flag is interrupted by the wheel flares, which ends up looking abrupt and a little awry. Looked best on a NB.

At this point in time. My dream hellcat is no longer a dream hellcat anymore. They just easily get stolen and more and more time pass. These cars will be targeted more by the thieves and I don't want the risk to have to carry a gun and a huge probability for my car get stolen every time I park it near to a mall or something. My thinking is that these cutie is getting more attractive by day. Especially the daytona variant. I'll probably stick around with daytona r/t

In my opinion the Daytona 5.7 was pointless once they made all 5.7s look like scatpacks, back in 2017 when it was introduced the Daytona 5.7 was the only way you could get the 5.7 with the scatpack body style & it was faster than the t grille 5.7s
