That’s the American pronunciation, however, I have a friend who moved to Connecticut almost 12 years ago from Worcester England where she was born and raised. The town is where Worcestershire Sauce was invented by John Lea and William Perrins, both of whom were pharmacists. She said they pronounce it like this. “Wuu-stuh-shuh” or Woo-stah-shah” which is how many of my Massachusetts friends pronounce it as well. She says she finds it so amusing the many ways people say it.

wooster shear And the chief law enforcement officer of the shire was the rief of the shire. Later in the US that became the Sheriff. Worcester = wooster. Shire is shear; and away we go.

Rachael Ray still isn't pronouncing it correctly. The first 'r' is silent and the last syllable is pronounced like 'sher' - the same way that the last syllable of New Hampshire is pronounced.

Pasquale is a kitchen nightmare first should learn to speak second go to school to learn the basics how to wash dishes and then learn how to cook
@donaldperez79813 жыл бұрын
You're entitled to your opinion. A good number if illegals that are in the country don't speak, or choose not to learn to speak the language. And one of the very first jobs they may find is usually washing dishes in their ethnic restaurants. And some, no not all don't even want to learn how to cook. I guess you can say I can say this because I'm also from that ethnic group.
