I'm completely disturbed by the need of all these men to try and established themselves as superior to women. If you truly believe that women are worth less than men, you must have skipped the first book of the Bible. Being a christian and a feminist is just a weird way of saying that she does justice, loves mercy, and walks humbly with the Lord. The very superiority that you are all claiming is an injustice that needs to be reconciled.

Part of the reason is that they want to feel superior to SOMEONE. There might be a natural desire to want to believe you are part of the "better" group. Another is that there is a fear that if clergy is opened to women, the occupation will gradually become a "women's job."

@XLucidLife I should have made it clear that he is unique among pre-modern religious leaders in that he is not RECORDED as praising traditional gender roles. What is recorded in the NT is remarkable in that he often broke taboos in his dealings w/women. Ex.: In a culture in which it was taboo for a menstruating female to touch a man, he doesn't remonstrate w/the woman who touches him. When Martha suggests Mary should join her in doing "women's work," Jesus praises Mary for learning along w/the men. He implies a condemnation of the Double Standard in his treatment of the woman taken in adultery. Anyway, I'm neither a God-believer nor a feminist. I don't care if religious groups have an all-male clergy or a clergy open to anyone or even an all-female clergy for that matter. I've nothing against women who prefer domestic roles or traditional roles just as I've got nothing against women scientists or politicians. I've written fiction that was complementation and fiction with egalitarian types.

Most of these comments make me sad. If I didn’t know the true Jesus, the hate here would probably make me disinterested. If you think that women are less than a man, I challenge you to read scriptures, pray, and open your hearts to listening to the Holy Spirit. I say this in love: If you’re wrapped up in “religion”, I think it will blind you. If you’re open to the Spirit, He will enlighten you. Seek what the Spirit says, not a religious leader that preaches opinions as truth. And if you’re closed off to the idea of even truly asking God, consider finding out who Christ truly is for yourself. Not who anyone else says He is to you. If you’re a sexist against women, are you also the person who says that certain races are superior/inferior and that God hates gays? If so, I pray your focus becomes to find the real Jesus and be a representation of Christ on earth. Let go of the fear.

Read up on what was going on in that city and who the non-Christian people there worshipped. There’s more than meets the eye. God is a fair and loving God. He is always good and sees all of His children as equal. And an extra little fun fact: When Christ rose from the dead, He appeared first to two women and commanded then to go and tell the others the good news. If that isn’t symbolic of fulfilling our duty as Christians, I don’t know what is. I hope that you will look into this and not become defensive and closed off. Because I truly say this in love. There is something called "Truth" which exists above and apart from any human culture or any sets of human ideas. God's Truth is eternal and unchanging. As a secular, legal matter, sure, we should have people choose their own religious path, but, that doesn't mean that Truth isn't real. I consider feminism and transgenderism to be an assault on Absolute Divine Truth. Galatians 6:7. I have personal knowledge from my insane error of denying God; don't recommend it. An oddity: The secular world is held to a higher moral standard than the religious one. It is perfectly legal for churches to have a clergy drawn from only one gender. It is even legal to limit clergy on a racial basis. Yet an employer who preferred on either basis would be breaking the law. It's odd that religious groups can have lower morals than non-religious groups.

Well, there is something called "Christian anthropology." This means that there is a view of human nature which is consistent with the teachings of the Bible especially the New Testament. Christianity isn't an ideology created by Man according to Man's wisdom. Christianity is a revealed religion, which contains direct and explicit teachings from God through the prophets, the Apostles and, of course, Jesus. I think it is fair to say that the teachings of the Bible do not agree with the mindset of the modern (post-feminist) world view. The Bible has numerous texts which address the relationship the nature and men and women and their appropriate relationship. If you take the Bible seriously which you must if you want to call yourself a Christian, women do not lead in the church. Example 1 Timothy 2:12. Female leadership was also rejected in the Old Testament Isaiah 3:12. There are more passages but I am not going to write a full blown essay. So you can believe or not believe in God (your choice), but, if you wish to call yourself a Christian you cannot dismiss Holy Scripture. This lady has a whole lotta Scripture to dismiss, beyond the more famous passage about submission.

I might point out that feminism has a track record now, in our modern times. I submit it has failed. Feminism first infected what used to be called the Mainline Protestant churches, which were, in their day, the most influential churches in America. Thoe Mainline Protestant Churches allowed female clergy. There were a number of very damaging consequences. First, the churches lost a great deal of men; they lost membership in general. After women were allowed in leadership positions the next "frontier' was the normalization of homosexuality in secular and religious life. The Episcopalians did this (also known as Anglicans) and they lost 40% of their membership. The age profile of Anglicans today is very bad, their demographics show that elderly parishioners are not being replaced by a younger generation. This is somewhat paradoxical because one would assume that younger people would accept homosexuality more than the older. No so. People who are willing to commit seriously to attending church, contributing money regularly and volunteering regularly are not retained by "modern"feminist and homosexual theologies. To the contrary more conservative Christian traditions have grown in numbers.

@@kansashoneybadger7899 She takes very seriously the Mary/Martha passage. Jesus was given an opportunity to tell Mary she belonged in the kitchen doing the traditionally female work but, instead, praised Mary for learning from him, essentially being trained for discipleship along with the men. There are Bible passages both ways and this happens with other controversies. For example, "Slaves, obey your masters" was often cited by Southern slavery apologists. I heard someone say that a professor said, "The South had the best of the Bible argument." There are other passages that, far from condemning slavery, give instructions for it. The Bible can justify patriarchy, slavery, serfdom, anti-semitism, racism, monarchy, what have you.

As a Christian feminist my faith in Jesus comes first. My feminism has biblical basis unlike secular feminism. Feminists are not one homogenous group. There are radical feminists, liberal feminists, intersectional feminists (I could go on) they all believe different things. Sometiems they are directly opposed in certain issues. Christian feminism is no different. My feminism is centred purely around issues of male violence against women and misogyny. These are some of the issues Christian feminists like me care deeply about: Female infanticide, child marriage, women trafficked into sexual slavery, women under regimes like the Taliban, rape as a weapon of war, sexual violence in general, sex selective abortion, FGM, domestic violence, femicide, forced surrogacy, bride kidnapping, so-called honour killings, the sex industry and exploitation, women’s rights under threat due to trans ideology. For those who believe "feminism" (whatever that means) and man-hating can't be separated: 1) You could hate men and be apolitical. 2) You could hate men but believe women are fundamentally incompetent outside traditional spheres. The title character of "Marnie" was a man-hater. She said, "I don't need to read that muck to know that women are stupid and feeble and men are filthy pigs." A "feminist" slogan? 3) You could hate men but be fatalistic. "That's just the way it is." A movement is about change. If you don't think change is possible, you have no motive for any kind of activism. On the other hand, a person could call themselves a "feminist" even if they like men because: 1) You like men but you believe girls and women have had their horizons too narrowly circumscribed. You just want those things expanded. 2) You might believe both sexes are harmed by sexist stereotypes. Of course, "feminist" suggests female bias so people in this category often use a word like "egalitarians."

To the MEN here who believe that they have been created superior to WOMEN, may I ask which BIBLE DO YOU READ? Christ came to fulfill the Law of the Old Testament and raised the bar higher that what the OT suggested. For example, if you hate your brother you have committed murder in your heart in the New Testament is sin instead of actually killing counting as murder. Or if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery in the New Testament instead of actually doing the act that counted as sin in the Old Testament. The Old Testament is based in a Jewish culture which was below what God intended for any culture, hence the need for Jesus to come (not only to give us salvation, but also to show us the right way to live this life). I won’t rewrite the many quotes of the Old Testament that men have tried to use to make a point that they are superior, but I urge you to look at the New Testament, the fulfillment of the Law. In a culture where women were shamed and not men, Jesus did not condemn the woman that committed adultery, when many were ready to stone her. In a culture where women were insignificant, Jesus took notice of the woman who had the blood issue in a huge crowd. In a culture where women were told their place was in the kitchen, Jesus affirmed Mary’s place, being at His feet and serving Him. In a culture where women had no right at anything, Jesus declared that the story of the woman who anointed His feet with oil will be told throughout generations. In a culture in which women’s testimony was worthless in court, Jesus appeared first to the women at His tomb, who had to declare and announce Jesus’ resurrection. And for those who want to quote so badly the verse with woman submit to husband (Ephesians 5:22-24), may I bring your attention to the word ‘HUSBAND’ not boyfriend, not any man, not pastor, SUBMIT TO YOUR HUSBAND. And that husband has to be the kind of man described in Ephesians 5:25-33. So MEN who want so badly to be SUPERIOR to women, do you love your wife as Christ loves His church? Are you ready to sacrifice your life for HER? Also note that in these verses, God has shown that He values WOMEN as much as He values His Church. So be careful when you are trying to diminish THE VALUE GOD GAVE HER, you might just get yourself a battle from HER MAKER. PS: I AM A WOMAN AND BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN. I DO NOT identify my self as A FEMINIST, because I believe the value that GOD gives women surpasses what feminism will ever give her. I believe we should fight for WOMEN’S Rights with God’s goodness, righteousness and justice as our guide and not feminism.

This is laughable. Men and women may be equal spiritually to God, but that is where it ends. The male human species was designed to be bigger, stronger, faster and smarter than it's female counterpart. The female was designed for one thing.....to procreate the species. The natural order of nature on planet earth is patriarchy. We see it in virtually all sexually dimorphic species in the animal kingdom. You know what we don't see in the visible universe.....EQUALITY! There is no equality in the plant and animal kingdom, nor in the kingdom of God. God, in his wisdom, designed everything with a purpose. Feminism and equality go directly against God's designed purposes for humans. It is a creation of Satan himself. In Heaven itself, there are ranks of angels.....there is no equality in Heaven There was one angel who was filled with pride and wanted to be something he was not designed to be, and it led to him being thrown out of heaven. When we read about Christ coming reign on earth and Christian's rewards, there are different crowns for different things.....there is no equality there either. I have looked long and hard and have been unable to find equality anywhere in the known universe except in the evil minds of those who are striving against God.

" Give honor unto the wife as the weaker vessel" That means the body witch includes the mind will and emotions. Scientific studies have shown conclusively that the male body has between 50 and 70% more upper body strength. Check out the Bible for any examples of women warriors who God called to fight His battles or lead HIs people. There are none. Jesus continued the plan by calling only men to be Apostles and exhorted them to follow His example. Galatians 3 speaks about the "grace that brought us salvation" as available to every person without prejudice. Many egalitarian teachers have taken the 28th verse out of context to justify a feminist belief that women should be in leadership positions over men. As for the fall in the Garden. Eve lead the way by being deceived. Adam was punished for listening to her and not being a good leader. He should have exposed the lie, rebuked the devil and not followed her lead into sin.

Complementarian/Patriarchalist Christians say "In Christ there is neither Greek nor Jew, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female" only applies to salvation. That is indeed a possible interpretation. You could be a Christian and believe that a free person can own a slave or that it is legitimate to discriminate against a Jew or a woman. Studies have shown that racists are often Christians. But the verse doesn't say, "Only for the purposes of salvation." As a verse, it is unqualified. Thus, it is possible to see it as meaning just what it says: that Jesus Christ eliminated those distinctions. .

In intimate relationship, it can be difficult to determine who "submits" to whom. There are many stories about a butler or maid who essentially runs the employing family. In "Gond With The Wind," Uncle Peter regards those who legally own him as his charges whom he must protect (often from their own lack of good sense). Similarly, in marriage, the average "dominant" husband basically rules by finding out what his wife wants to do anyway and "commanding" her to obey her own wishes. Indeed, it's hard to know in Christian Domestic Discipline that the husband really "rules" the wife since it is usually the wife who suggests CDD. A study was done that found that most decisions in heterosexual marriages are made by the wife. It's likely most men want it that way because, quite simply, insisting on this or that just isn't worth sleeping on the couch. Nevertheless, I have a friend whose brother stopped having sex with his wife a decade ago (his decision) and says she still makes most decisions.

The result was a constant tension over decisions and the allocation of resources. Only one person can drive a car at a time. A company have only one CEO. You cannot maximize success in two careers at the same time. A successful female attorney comes home after long hours at work and is no position to be the wife that her similarly tired husband would like to spend time with. Plus although some women make good leaders, as a group, women have a difficult time elevating reason and facts over emotion. Women have a harder time establishing a boundary (for child's behavior for instance) and enforcing that boundary. Women often times have a hard time with the idea of permanent consequences; they suffer from an excess of non-productive compassion. Lastly, I have seen over and over and over again, that women lack an interest in learning about some critical things needed to keep a marriage going: like finances and investment and even home repair, and car maintenance. No, that hasn't changed since the 60's. Remember anthropologists will report that there have been only a tiny handful of true matriarchies. A few in Papua New Guinea. Those female led groups never left the Stone Age. Native Americans of the Northeast had some female counsel members but decisions as to war were made by men. History does not record a true matriarchy (consistently led by women in all departments) which ever rose to the level of success of the Roman Empire, the empire of Alexander the Great, the Ottoman Empire or the pre-Communist Chinese Empire. The great female leaders like Elizabeth the First of Britain, Maria Theresa of Austria-Hungary, and Catherine the Great all took over a government structure, including armies which were build by men going before them. @@kansashoneybadger7899 I was married for 11 years. We were together for 21 years. I never said anything about any matriarchies. As far as I know, matriarchies are a myth. All I did was point to studies that find that, in most marriages, the wife is the primary decision maker. It seems to me that most men probably like it that way. A male friend surmised, "If I'm going to have sex tonight, I better be a good boy and do as she wants." Even in relationships in which the man is supposedly dominant, the complications of intimacy can mean that he has mastered the fine art of learning what his wife wants to do anyway and ordering her to do it. As far as child care, I read a study that found that men are more efficient diaper changers than women. I have to admit I was surprised by that. The guys are beating the women at their own game!

A sociologist who studied CDD reported a divorce because the wife "couldn't take the pain of the spankings anymore." @@denisenoemyschizotypaldiso3755 Interested in the reference to the "study." There is a whole lot of literature labeled as a "study" which is not worth giving credit to. One needs to evaluate each one. Again, most women don't make good decision makers on the topics that are truly needed to keep a marriage/household and family afloat: money for one just one example. As Kevin Samuels has said " Men know that no one is coming to rescue them." Men know that whether it is entertaining or interesting or not; they have to acquire knowledge on many practical things like money, investment and maintenance of key possessions. I have found shocking lack of interest in financial knowledge among even my educated female friends. It didn't interest them so they passed it by. This thinking would torpedo the long range health of the family. Matriarchies are relevant because it would be an example of women making binding and critical decisions for an entire society. Except for the small tribes I referenced in my comment, I also believe matriarchies are a myth. Why do you think NO matriarchy ever reach a substantial level of success? Maybe female thinking, which is a real thing. I have seen it for years.

One reason some men hold so fast to the stained glass ceiling -- and are so angry at feminists -- is that things haven't changed as much for men as for women. It's a commonplace sight to see women with their shingles out and running for office. But men are still the overwhelming majority of the homeless and the incarcerated. Men who are talented at child care are apt to find that they are not considered for a "mother's helper" type of job and they arouse suspicion if they teach kindergarten. Men get the on-the-job injuries and deaths because they are the majority of "glass cellar" positions. Thus, men who have a sense of being pressed in by the feminist movement on one hand and the traditional male role will cling very tightly to the ministry as a Sacred Old Boys Club. If women encroach on it, what do they have that discriminates in their favor?

Our Holy Traditions state that after the Resurrection, she went on to do apostolic work, first in Rome, where she preached, among others, to Emperor Tiberius, and later joined the Apostle John in Ephesus. I mention this because I saw some men here using the argument that there were no women Apostles - the argument is just false. Here is the page of the Orthodox Church in America, regarding Mary of Magdala: www.oca.org/saints/lives/2001/07/22/102070-myrrhbearer-and-equal-of-the-apostles-mary-magdalene - Some people link black Christianity to slavery, and see Christianity as a "white" religion - as an Orthodox when I first heard it, this idea was shocking. Ethiopia was the second nation in the world to adopt Christianity, after Armenia and before the Roman Empire. The Desert Fathers (North Africa, Egypt) had a huge contribution to the development of the Church. It also spread to Syria and other Middle Eastern countries etc. To link Christianity to any race seems incredible to me. I believe it's because when the Reformers broke with the Catholics (a few hundred years after the Catholics broke with us, because we didn't like change and they wanted some innovations :D), they unfortunately also broke with Church History and simply ignored it to the point of forgetting all about it. Maybe not all of Protestants, but I think that many (maybe most) of them don't know much about the early days of Christianity or even the present day Christianity outside the West. Like, thinking the whole world prays to a blond, white Jesus - search the byzantine style icons, we use all shades of skin, from paper white to ochre or brown or earthy, regardless of country. The same goes for hair. Ethiopians, of course, use many icons of saints with African features etc. It's ok not to know if you are not a Christian or a religious person, but I believe Christians should know, or else, they jump to very strange conclusions. Sorry for the long post, but I hope these informations will be of some use, in case you didn't already know them. :)

For those discussing the role and authority of women: St. Tamar of Georgia, or Queen Tamar the Great, was a reigning Queen and a Saint. She was not a priest or a Patriarch, though - so what ? St. Mary of Magdala is "Equal to the Apostles". There are plenty of Saints that are women. And the Holy Mother is the greatest saints of all, women or men. I have written all that just to point that it doesn't really matter who has "authority". The whole point of the Church is to help us return to the Father. You can become a Saint, woman or man. Or a virtuos woman or man, even if not exactly a saint. To obsess about who does what in the process is to lose sight of that. I would rather the Church stay as it is and has always been - it's not supposed to make you feel good in a worldly sense. Let me put it this way: if all men of the Church and women who support them are in error, for stopping other women from becoming priests, then it is their sin, but it doesn't stop our salvation. If we start a war against that injustice, we are also in the wrong. Even if they are wrong too. Because it means we do not have humility even in the house of God. Even when we go to church, we can't go with a humble heart. So we are all just doomed.

From a Christian Orthodox perspective: St. Moses the Black (lived in the 4th century), one of the Desert Fathers of the early Church, had been a slave who had stolen from his master, was so infuriating that his master banished him, then he became a bandit (he was a very strong man) and robbed people, was debauched etc. etc. But then he started to have regrets, joined a monastery, became an ascetic, with the help of God he defeated his sins, became known for his wisdom and piety, lived a holy life and died a martyr, from his own choice. And he is one of our Saints (I believe the Catholics recognize him as well, because he lived before the schism). Hatred is a sin. Sin is an illness. The idea is to get rid of sin, with the help of God - but it is a process. If I recall correctly, the masters of Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass were quite terrible - did they die with hatred in their hearts for their former masters ? If so, did they acknowledged it and asked forgiveness for their hatred ? Did they have many sins that they could not get cured of, did they pray ? Only God knows, and only He is without sin, that is why He asked us not to judge - we don't have the knowledge or moral authority to determine where someone's place is. It is between them and God.

Martha thought Mary should be in the kitchen preparing a meal for Jesus and the other men instead of in the "men's space" learning along with future apostles. Jesus sided with Mary. Most men of the time period would have been outraged at the touch of a woman "with an issue" due to menstrual taboos but Jesus was not. In addition, it was women, not men, who found the risen Jesus. If Jesus was a "keep 'em barefoot and pregnant" kind of guy, he would have sided with Martha and told Mary her place was in the kitchen. At any rate, I can see why some people might prefer male pastors because they like the lower pitched male voice. I observe that so many women and some men here become all up in arms when God’s ordained roles for men and women are articulated. This is about Roles, not “worth”. God has laid out specific roles for men and women, but in today’s world, where feelings and emotions often supersede sound doctrine, God’s divine order is put on the back burner because we FEEL we know better. Throughout the Bible, God articulates equal worth for men and women, but different roles. An authority on this earth is not regarded as a person of exceptional worth, but rather as someone who has a role, or a job, if you will. Feelings, feeling, feelings. These are the rule of the day. God tries to get us to rise above our emotions and accept and obey his doctrine, but mankind and womankind tend to insist that they can “smooth over” and soften what He says. It is not God who brings intrinsic “worth” to the table regarding our roles. It is prideful humanity. Prideful humanity has the audacity to attempt to “correct” scripture, instead of being corrected by it.

@Stefon Palinic The women I've known who hated men didn't tend to identify w/"feminism." You can call them "feminists" if you wish but they don't use that word for themselves. Part of the reason is that man-haters might not be politically active or politically motivated. Another is that their attitudes don't motivate them toward any sort of change. As the main character said in "Marnie," "I know that women are stupid and feeble and men are filthy pigs." This sort of attitude won't lead them to want to champion the "stupid and feeble" against the "filthy pigs."

My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight, that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge. For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave. She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it. Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say. Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house, lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel, lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich the house of another. At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent. You will say, “How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction! I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors. And I was soon in serious trouble in the assembly of God’s people. Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well. Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares? Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers. May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer- may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love. Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man’s wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman? For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.” - Proverbs 5

jack jones To the MEN here who believe that they have been created superior to WOMEN, may I ask which BIBLE DO YOU READ?

For Quinton Lutz: part of the reason some people hold fast to the "stained glass ceiling" is that they fear they have pretty much lost the battle in the secular world. Of course, no profession will ever be 50/50 but it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of sex in the secular world. Women may well become the majority of small business owners (not CEOs of major companies), doctors, lawyers, and politicians. Many men are threatened and realize there is no way to turn back the clock in those areas. They want SOMETHING that is keeping women out and is a kind of "Old Boys Club." It really isn't THAT hard to understand. There is a history in other areas of the Bible being used to support the status quo. Example: in medieval Europe, the serfs were the recipients of the Curse of Ham, the descendants of Canaan. Thus, serfdom was ordained by scripture. Southern slaveholders said black people were the recipients of the Curse of Ham. It's a flexible curse and has been applied to Tatars and Jews. Speaking of Jews, there are verses that led to anti-Semitism: "Let it be on our heads and on our children's heads." I understand your being "disturbed" by such tendencies from your fellow Christians but it really isn't that hard to understand why they are clutching to the "stained glass ceiling." It will remain intact in some denominations because there are enough people who want that just as it will be -- and already has been -- shattered in others.

Her 1st few words was not biblical it was all of what she thinks. What she thinks? Here is the problem with what We think? God never ask us what we think he only wants us to put him in remembrance of His word not what we think. What I don't ever hear from these none bible reading feminist is the stories in the bible of the women who had it right. Because there names are probably not mention but God knows who they are. These woman in the bible who had the husband who did not "oppress her" When feminist speak it is every time from for place of oppression and how they feel and what they see. It is unfortunate that some men miss treat women. But women don't understand their is a lot more women in the world then men. They don't understand their value because they don't understand what was God's individual purpose for their lives because women covenant other women's marriages, relationships, positions power, same as men but the difference is women emotions effects their reasoning , logic, and practical understanding base on facts that are presented. That's the difference then signify all the logic, reasoning, practical understanding and facts that with sex, lust, premisquist actions with some simp man and a few soy eating women now we have ostracize generation of men. No that is not Gods plan. The evil men and women only got smarter. They are still going to oppress. Just like the circle of life a whale eats fish, a lion eats gazelle, 4 seasons a year, sun settles in the west, it takes 9 months for a human baby to grow its life so to think you are going to change nature you will loose. All this conversations do is cause division from personal opinion not what the bible actually says about relationships. People who was using traditional dating methods are more fearful because of the media and lying men and women who are in the public space. Rachel truly are you really oppress? you would be doing this interview in a cave? You are free based on the laws that men have made here. Just stop lying to women because you dont want to cook, clean bare children, raise your children, submit to your husband, nurture your children, merchant your home, manage the homes money. You want to do want you want because of the news, entertainment, sorry public school system and what appears to look like boss women when their husbands do what they want. Women need men point blank and if you can keep the tradition and single out the abusive men we as a nation might can accept this me too, and feminist movement awareness to the men and women who are abusing their authority. Cornish hen not just men. We all play a part. Even Bathsheeba had a good life. Rahab too. It boils down to all women want to be taking care of to actually submit to a man. Its all conditional no obedience to God that's something to skip over because men are cheater and us women cant put all our eggs in one basket screw that bible. This is really Christian feminist mindset. They just use that word judo to confuse the uneducated.

Good message but more context please. Me personally I'm ashamed of the men of today being put in a position of being self rightous. I despise how women are forced to be obedient to men who are flawed. I believe if it truly God's will, he will call upon the women to point out obvious mistakes of the man. Which is why god is above man and that even though men are more proned to lead the household that many women should still have job skills regardless. Many men today are weak and want control over women completely to handle their insecurity bullshit. While women suffer. I'm not saying all women are innocent either some women go with this self deprivation of gender roles. I believe there are some dominant roles to an extent as well. But I draw the line when a women is a stay at home mom long after kids are old enough to do school properly and I draw it when women have to be dependent for raising the entirety of the kid's life and when men and women become lazy and deteriorate together it's pathetic and disgusting and ungodly to watch, but that is gender roles today. If I was talking to female I was ever to be with, I would rather she actually agrees with me and is real with me so I'm not just talking to someone who is my servant because that's true lying right there.

You follow a man who applauded Mary for learning from him rather than going into the kitchen to do traditionally women's work. You follow a man who pointed to the double standard when he rescued the woman taken in adultery. You follow a man who broke the tradition by which a man must not touch a woman who is menstruating and healed her. You follow a man who revealed his resurrected self to women. No reason to listen to any "feminists." Just follow the man who repeatedly broke traditions about women's roles.

"Girls and women have the opportunities to explore all that God's given them." For those who've attended churches w/women ministers: Were there sermons as articulate as those of men ministers? As morally relevant? Or did you find men more articulate and moral? Although I'm not a Christian, I've heard sermons from both male and female preachers and don't find much difference. I do recall a woman minister making a joke that a man would not have made. Her overall point was the difference between "holidays" an "holy days" as she wanted Christmas to be the latter. She recalled fr/her childhood about a hobby horse her parents had given her: "Oh, how I love to ride that horse! I don't think my parents ever did figure out why." While that's a remark only a woman could have made, the men knew enough about our anatomy to laugh!

@Stefon Palinic In some respects, women are privileged everywhere. In America, we have quite a few privileges. Women don't get drafted. Women are less likely to die on the job, become homeless, incarcerated, or executed. Men often open our doors for us and perform other special acts of courtesy. There was an occasion when I saw a man running. I wondered: Why is he running? He ran so he could get to the door first and hold it open while I walked into the store. His act of chivalry made my day!

"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free." Feminism and Christianity go together about as well as abolitionism and Christianity!

@Marianne Havisham I'm not concerned about what your pastor says over the word of God. The bible says, let God be true and every man a liar. There are plenty of pastors that know and teach the truth that women cannot teach or lead men. And all of the elders of my church teach the same thing. #believethebible

@@duanestewart2021 Where in the Bible does it condemn slavery? Instead, it tells slaves to obey masters and strive to please them in all things. Many Southern pastors in the Civil War taught that rebellion against slaveowners was wrong.
