Update 5/8/24--now I have been diagnosed with breast cancer (thank God we caught it early). Can I get some relief? :( You are saying what my heart wants to say!!! Thank you!!! My mom has been diagnosed with what looks like stage 4 colon cancer and she doesn't want treatment. I am supporting her, but I still hate it. It's not fair. We just lost my step-dad to lung/kidney cancer in August. Now I'm going through this again with my mom. Have mercy... :(

I went through VERY painful times with a cheating and highly abusive husband. When I left him five years ago, I had to leave my two teens with him so I could go help my oldest son. My ex immediately went public with his mistress and tried his hardest to erase me from my teens’ lives. I have not heard from one of my kids in over a year. He blocked me. I almost went insane. I could see death in my eyes. I felt like the only way to get any rest was to be six feet underground. I really did want to be six feet underground in order to get some peace. It seemed so alluring. The only thing that kept my alive was the thought that some of my children did need me. I cried to God to have mercy. He answered me and gave me peace. God heals. I’m still healing. Everyday I learn something new. God led me today to this song. I just heard it for the first time. Thank you, Rachel. It’s OK to be vulnerable. It’s OK to have compassion for each other’s pain. It’s OK to give each other comfort. However, sometimes there’s nobody there for us. The only One Who is always present is God within us. May we receive His Love and share it with our brothers and sisters. Love and Peace to all. ❤

Have lived this song. Am still living this song. The dirt under my nails is the wall paper I'm scraping off the walls at three in the morning because I can't sleep for the anxiety and fear because I have to listen for my two yrs old son disabled who is crying out every hour after having a feeding tube installed to keep him alive and my husband has to get up for work in the a.m. and is helping to take care of our other four perfect children but is also afraid of learning how to deal with the granuloma and feeding him through a science experiment tube till the hole heals enough to put in the G-tube. I'm losing my mind at every hour feedings through the tube only too have him promptly throw it all up because his stomach is irritated and knowing my 2 yr old baby is in pain and I'm helpless, I'M CRYING MERCY. I've been alone in this journey for weeks because my husband can't handle it, he is a good man but tender hearted toward is son and can't handle the suffering, I'M CRYING MERCY. I'm not sure how I survived that, but he passed away at age 14 in my arms in 2005 and then my body breaks from the stress. It's 2024 and I'm still CRYING MERCY.

I love Rachel so much. She was my childhood, and now she's written such an incredible ballad(?). It makes me so emotional despite never dealing with any losses or bad things in my life (and thank god for that!). Her music conveys all the feelings we all have inside of us. 😢thank you so much for sharing. My entire world collapsed 2 years ago. My mom passed and after been a single mom of 4 with no help. Of their dad they decided to leave they are all big and stuff. But I felt betrayed. I was at my lowest my mom. Was gone and nothing has made sense since all this . I constantly tell myself I am strong and can’t give up I pray and have faith in God .
