I watched this movies 6 times in one day. The scenes between all actors were intense, affectionate, complex and intriguing. I hung off every word. I felt the yearning they had for eachother. A beautiful film so grateful to have come across it.

Damn these Rachels... Is it just my gay mind or do they really have these chemistry with each other. I thought Weisz is amazing but the more I watch this movie again and again the more I fall in love with McAdams, too. It's rare to me to fancy both lesbian characters in a movie. And it's awesome. Straight people sadly never have this experience.

I've just seen the movie, and I found it incredible, furthermore, Disobedience is comparable to Brokeback Mountain movie because of the intensity, the plot, and where two people have a hidden affair, which no one has to know. As a Chilean, I'm so proud of Sebastian, and he can triumph abroad, so this is one of the reasons why his film "A Fantastic Woman" got Oscar winner.

When Weisz says she “read a lot of lesbian literature”, she is talking about a lot of scripts w/ lesbian characters. She says before this that there were two in particular, “Disobedience”, and her new film coming out later this year, “The Favorite”, both lesbian roles. I’m not sure why anyone would get angry though if she were to read lesbian literature to get to know her character(s) more... lesbian love is not like any other love, sorry, but that’s the truth.

I know there was a small hint that at least they will know each other's addresses but that is it? It does not seem to match up to the passionate love story they share! I think the point in the end was that Esti chose to stay in the charedi community even though she loved Ronit, she chose religion over love. In the end her belief in G-d was what "won" in this story. That's at least what I understood... I am actually so interested in what happened after she left. Did she leave Dovid completely? like how was the baby raised... Anyway I know your comment was 4 months ago but I decided to answer anyway :)

I think that Esti needed a moment for herself to discover her strength and freedom on her own. Jumping into another relationship might not have been her priority at that time. Also given the fact that, that was also only the time that they got connected again. She probably knew that that route would be overwhelming. That's just my take speaking if I was the one in her position.
