Women discount all yard work, household maintenance, appliance repair, vehicle maintenance, and ignore the fact you pay the overwhelming majority of the bills... yet they will complain about cooking and cleaning.

I would rather do yardwork then dishes. I dont mind laundry but i also work fulltimes as does my husband. We tend to split work on our days off and i try to keep up the basic chores durimg the week. I tend to assist with larger house hold projects which i prefer as a to do as well so long as he is in charge and tells me what hecwants me to do.

I still come home make dinner, do laundry, do the dishes. He still works on the cars, up keeps the home, mowes the lawn. If a couple has to resort to tallying each individual chore that they've completed, that's when you know the relationship is headed for a breakup. Entirely unsustainable over the long run to keep score over something so trivial purely out of pettiness. All it does is fuel bitterness and resentment for both parties.

I'm not sure I agree with that. A couple has to figure out who is responsible for what. I agree, it shouldn't be tallied to be sure things are exactly equal. But I do think all things need to be delegated to a certain person so there is no confusion or no way to say "I didn't know I was supposed to do that".

It's interesting to note how the feminist types and 304s get really quiet and respectful when Rachel says basically the same things as Andrew. With him, it's all about "tone" or whatever other excuse comes to mind when they can't own up to their misandry. Those discussions quickly become tedious with all of the SIGN language - it's the automatic pushback/need to be right that make them unwatchable for me. I'd love to see more episodes with Rachel - the conversation seems much more productive and illuminating.

Cleaning the home isn’t demeaning, it’s necessary to prevent bugs from infesting the house. You let the house go to shit and you start getting flies, roaches, mosquitos, spiders, rats, a food chain of potential disease you don’t want near your wife or your children. A man quits maintaining the yard and you’ll get snakes in the grass. Used to be we were so close to the wild we had to fend off bears, wolves, mountain lions, and alligators but we made it so safe we don’t even think about predators when stepping outside. Nature’s a hostile, unrelenting bitch.

It's ridiculous. Years ago when our dad died I became the legal guardian for my baby sister [17 year age-gap] who was 11 at the time, so I talked to my boss, got my hours changed to 9am-2:30pm [was 5pm previously] and then finish my work later at home in the evening. Luckily, I was head of I.T. there so I could do a bunch of work remotely. On weekdays I'd get off at 2:30, get groceries on my way home, clean the house, walk my dogs and then start preparing the evening meal. My sister would pack the dishwasher after we ate. Then I'd do the work I still had left over. Weekends would be for laundry, yard work .etc Now I'm not suggesting that everyone should do what I had to, but these women are complaining about doing that except without the whole going to work 5 days per week part and saying that they should also get to split that with someone who is working full time. Blows my mind.

I did like hearing it gets easier with more! 🙌🏻🙏🏻 😅 I do most of the house hold work but my husband helps me reset the house each night before we relax together. He mainly does dishes after dinner and trash while I pick up and wipe things down. It’s a great system for us. He helps me with the house and our son and I help him with miscellaneous work tasks and food throughout the day. We are just constantly tag teaming stuff and it works for us.

I, a trad guy fell for an 80's feminist. She soon realized that the real world is a thing. Of course we should have kids (in our 40's) when I explained that she would be in her sixties and trying to chase a teenager around,,,,, the look on her face was priceless. Fast forward, I have nothing to say about how the holidays is run, what happens in the kitchen, but I have dinner on the table and a Swiss watch couldn't get more effective at making this house run than het! Mind you, there was always thee" wait 'till your father gets home" threat. But she definitely ran the home, and she made it a home, despite being oppressed by the patriarchy that forced her to! When this broad realized the power of motherhood there was no stopping her! If these damn "feminist" ever figured out what their real powers have always been we might be in trouble.

Stay at home dad here 🙋🏻‍♂️ I do all of the chores. All of them, both traditional male and female tasks - I take care of our two boys (1yo and 3yo), I do most of the cooking, I do all the cleaning, I take care of our dogs, I maintain our cars, I fix things around the house, I maintain the landscaping, I keep our house organized, I change smoke detectors and AC filters, I bathe our boys, i do the dishes, I do all the laundry and hang her clothes up the way she likes, I clean the bathrooms, I handle all our boy’s doctors appointment… all of it. Once she gets off work around 3:00, she spends a couple hours with the boys while I spend a couple hours in my garage gym (which is pretty much all of my down time), then we have the night to be together as a family. My situation is very unique in that I was set up, financially, to retire at 30 while we were in the process of adopting our first son (we got pregnant at the same time, ironically). She doesn’t make even a tenth what I was making, but she works from home and her job is extremely flexible, while I was working 70+ hour a week. I didn’t want to be the stereotypical absent father, so I chose to pause my career to spend as much time with them as possible. I share all this to say… it ain’t hard, you just can’t be lazy. You also need to understand the purpose of your role in the household, and that it gets easier over time.

Well if the woman's been cleaning and cooking and shopping and paying bills and raising the children and giving baths I can understand being tired. And when the man comes home from working all day and then he has to mow the lawn trim the hedges clean out the gutters take out the trash change the oil in the car clean out the garage etc etc I imagine he's tired too. How about everybody shut the f****** and just do what they're supposed to do it's called life

She does her 8 and that's it i have tried every way possible to getchelp but it's just laziness period. I'm also left to do all the yard work and run kid to and from school daily. Im the larger bread winner . where am i going wrong ?

Because you allow her to get away with it. Women are close to children. They will try to get away with something if you don’t hold them accountable. And by you doing her chores, she is running away from her responsibilities as a woman, which will make her lose respect for you, because she feels like she is the boss, instead of the other way around. Also she will feel less like a woman, because you took over her female role. So hold her accountable, value her if she does her chores. She needs positive reinforcements.

When I was a teenager I didn't want my mom doing my clothes either. Number one I didn't want her touching my underwear. And as far as wash goes two words double downy. And then of course please iron all my clothes. She didn't want to do that so I ironed all my clothes myself. It was the 1980s and I wanted to look sharp.

I think it's absurd to expect your woman to do 100 percent of all the house work....to me that is insane. And kind of douchie. Only if I had zero time to do so. But come on to expect your woman to clean up after you 100 percent and do zero for her...kinda not cool. Every once in a while a man has to cook a meal and wash a dish.

Something u are not taking into consideration is personality. For example I'm a male and I'm very clean and organized. I can't live messy. My wife is more relaxed. That's just how we we're raised. I knew that before marriage. I do most of the cleaning in the home because I enjoy doing it and because if I don't, my wife won't do it and she doesn't do it correctly. I have a full time job and she's a stay at home mom. She only washes the dishes cooks and laundry sometimes. I do everything else

As a husband, I get the sentiment and it is amazing when my wife takes care of everything around the house. But I see part of being a Christian husband is self sacrifice for my wife and demonstrating Christ to her and our family and that includes self sacrifice, doing things when you’re tired and don’t want to just because you love your wife.

I've typically seen Husbands do the "heavy lifting" at home. Such things as Mowing Lawns, putting up fences, repairing plumbing, fixing the Roof, landscaping, Home Repairs, car work (if so inclined and with the tools to do so), etc. Generally speaking. Generally speaking, Wives deal with home care (cleaning & upkeep), child care when the Husband is away/working, Cooking, in the real sense, meaning researching and UNDERSTANDING the nutritional NEEDS of the family and working on that, instead of the modern age bullshit of slap shit together on a plate Big Food and Supermarkets instruct you to buy. Cooking, the real deal not the modern bullshit people have been indoctrinated into, isn't demeaning. It's a damn professional career (Nutritionist/Biology/Health) for the most important people in your life. Overlap: Of course. There's going to be overlap, and that should organically work itself out. Painting rooms together. Husband taking the garbage out. Dad needing to change diapers once in a while. But . . . generally . . . the historical model makes sense and all of us are here today because of it. Both parties step up. Because I guarantee you, having to do objectionable stuff you find "demeaning" or don't agree with or feel is beneath you happens at Work . . . all . . . the . . . damn . . . time.

Feminists caused women to have to join the workforce. Then there was a supply and demand issue where there are all of a sudden a gluttony of potential employees and wages were stagnated due to this over supply. Now women have to work. Doesn’t seem like good progress to me. Seems like the only ones to benefit were greedy corporate America. Wouldn’t be better if the household had the same income with only one spouse working outside the home? Think about it.
