Once you reach a certain level of management you have to view those who work for you differently than before. I am at that point, seeing each person for what they are capable of and making sure not to allow the dangerous ones to progress beyond their skills to management positions so they don’t fuck your ability and opportunities up are as important as your job performance and in many cases IS the metric that you are judged by.
