"Snow White" was the one movie Walt was the most protective of. When he discovered a group working on a sequel, he fired them, because he didn't want this movie touched in _any way._ The set burning down should've been a sign of Walt's anger from beyond.

So they're taking the love out of a classic love story, gotcha.

Snow White was written in the era when there was no phone at all, and the 1937 movie was made when no one had portable communucation devices like smartphones. Men in those times litterally had no way to contact their crushes besides tryin to find them somewhere. (If they didnt know her address or who she was) I just dont undetstand why she calls the prince Stalker. All he did was just trying to reach and meet Snow White and that's all. He didnt force her to date him or love him

I wish people would stop saying that Snow White is kissed by some “random stranger” or something to that effect. She knows who he is long before she bites the apple; it’s shown in the movie. And he obviously loves her; the spell is broken with the kiss.

The part where the 7 Little People told her “You are so brave, powerful and independent” truly sent chills down my lower spine.

Not all female protagonists need to be so focused into things like power and leadership, when a woman is valued just on that it kind of feels like regressing a bit. Because women can dream and hope or just be whatever they want, one should be able to dream about finding love or being a powerful business woman with the same strength and still have both dreams be just as valuable. I don't see everyone's problem. People have been changing the original story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves since after it was first written. 1. There was no Evil Stepmother. It was Snow White's biological mother who abandoned her in the forest based on being envious of her own daughter. 2. The Prince wasn't a stalker, as Zegler states, he was just hunting nearby came across the glass coffin and dwarves, and after hearing the story decides to take Snow White back to her father. There was no 'love story' until afterward; and by accident, the apple dislodged from Snow White's throat and she awoke. 3. The only person who dies is the wicked biological mother who finds out Snow White lived through all her attempts at killing her and she goes to kill her again and the prince forces her to wear red hot iron shoes and dance until she dies. That's the original story. It's been changed countless times since it was written as has most fairytales that teach a moral (which is the most important aspect of the story) and are targeted toward children. Everyone needs to get over themselves.

The fact that these people see love to be the ultimate weakness for a woman tells you alot about them.

The prince kissed her because it was the spell breaker from the quess poisoned apple. Seems all these men did so much for Snow because Snow demonstrated love. If people dont pay or stream these movies, they will stop their nonesense. The part where snow white is running the nursing home alone is commendable. 1 woman taking care of 7 old guys near the end of thier lives is courageous. Just so she doesn't have to live in the forest like a homeless hermit. the part where she lived like if she was in eden living in harmony with the animals after the 7 dwarf were gone was a nice touch.

Imagine this: Snow white is in her glass coffin surrounded by the 7 dwarfs all mourning her death. Along comes the prince who takes notice of the scene. He opens the casket and goes in for a kiss ready to break the spell to bring her back to life. Then all of a sudden Snow White wakes up before the prince reaches her lips and begins screaming "Raaaape! Raaape! Raaape!" as she gets up and runs off into the distance.

So Snow White's story now is Mulan's? The problem with recent movies is that it is so ingrained in today's issues where it will be stuck to the current time and losses it's timelessness. Wouldn't be surprised if this is another flop for Disney. Wonder how many times they need to lose money just to change direction. The difference now with today's audience to a few years back... the audience now speaks through their wallets.

I literally LOVE the part where they do a whole different movie altogether with no element whatsoever in common with "snow white", halfway in between some for-families exotic porn genre and the hardest, unintelligible, Bollywood sci-fi complete with cumbersome theological implications and a dash of gruesome social justice wars in the background. It seems like in any interviews I've seen on this, nobody remembers that Snow White was a classic Fairy Tale long before it was made into an animated Disney movie. A classic does NOT become "outdated"....the very definition of a classic is that it has a timeless message that can be passed through the generations. Sure, modern political values are vastly different than they were when the first film came out, or the hundreds of years before when the fairy tale was written...but classic tales transcend politics, and speak to humanity. Turning a classic story into a political trope sickens me, and claiming a political message is attached to a classic fairy tale equally so. The real story teaches the dangers of jealousy, the importance of courage, patience, hospitality, the need to help as well as to be helped by others, and of course the power of love. It boggles my mind that love ever became "outdated", but it to me it tells me our society is going in a bad direction fast if people really think this. Sure, you can claim whatever interpretation you want based on your politics: "The original Snow White is anti feminist because Snow White had to be saved by a man" blah blah blah. But you can as easily say the scene where the prince saves Snow White means that love is a powerful, saving force, and we do and should depend on others. And of course, the timeless message that the force of good is more powerful than the force of evil. What's so "outdated" in all that? If you want to make a movie about a powerful, independent, leader- woman, that's fantastic. Go for it, but make up your own story. Don't make a mockery of a classic.
