My husband heard this song when we were dating...I lived in AZ and he in MS...and he mailed me a 45 record of this...I still have it. We were married 46 years...he just passed away 3/27/2022...and I can still see vthe look in his eyes as we danced to this song over the years. I miss him so! 😥

Old songs are just so classy and timeless. I was born 1995 and as I discover old songs like these I gradually understand why my grandparent and parent always commenting in our music today, "what kind of music is that? Our music before was way better". 😊

This is my son's favorite music when he takes a nap in the morning and afternoon. When he hears the song played, he listen to it like he understand. This music will be played repeatedly for 2-3hours. And if the music stops, he will wake up. Hehehe. My mom uses this song since he was 3months up until now that he is already 1yr old. Thank you, Mr Engelbert! ❤

Tihanks for posting this song i loved this song before i met my husband and when he showed up in my life he was that guy, the love of my life and i already knew the words to the song that coveyed the love affection i had and have for him.well was back in 1979 And it's now 2013 we have been separated for a few years now butt i love him the same. thank you for posting my favorite song.

My wife and I went on a dinner cruise in FL and the band played this song just as the boat turned and began heading for the sunset on the Gulf. Truly a magical experience. Thank you for posting this song which reminds me of our "one way trip to the sun".

Whenever I listen to this song I experience the most wonderful and deep emotions. When I was a young boy in Honduras (late 70s) I didn't speak English, but Engelbert's interpretation and music in this song are so magical that I felt its message in my heart. Today I am perfectly fluent in English and I love this song even more!

I met the woman of my dreams in an online chat room. With me in the US and her in the UK we talked for more than two years on a daily basis eventually falling in love. Just recently, we were able to meet. The first night she arrived in the US and after a passionate evening, I hummed this softly to her as she drifted off to sleep.
