Do you learn English with movies? In this English lesson I show you how to use a scene from Avengers: Endgame to improve your English speaking and English pronunciation. You will learn about English speaking elements like reductions and contractions. When you use movies for learning English you have the opportunity to mimic and learn from native speakers. I have developed a terrific method for your learning over the past 10 years and I’ll show you exactly how to learn English movies’ power for improving your speech. We will look at a scene with Robert Downey Jr. from Avengers: Endgame together and walk through everything that the speakers are doing. When you use this approach to learning English with movies you begin to see each of the components that make American English sound the way it does. And you can watch all summer long as we take a new movie each week to give you more and more opportunities to learn English movies and improve your English speaking. And please download the free audio lesson that goes with this series. The link is above! Let’s get started! I hope you enjoy it.

OMG, few teachers on this planet ever teach us about the pronunciation in sentences, the way that native speakers speak English sentence by sentence is quite different from what we learn as non-native speakers, most of us speak english word by word, like a robot, and that leads to our poor listening when communicating with native speakers. Good Job!

hey!you're my angle! here are some questions :D 1. "if you find this recording"why "find this"sounds like "finəs"? 2: "how be it"why "how"sounds like "h-AA"? "i will dream about you" why "about" sounds like "abAAt"? is it because “OW” always say“AA” in low energy in american english ? thank you so much,XD
@rachelsenglish
@rachelsenglish 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! 1. When the D consonant comes between two consonant sounds, you can often drop it (like he does here). 2. In lazy, very casual speech, some native speakers will allow the OW as in NOW diphthong to sound more like a quick, unstressed AA as in BAT vowel. If you were going to say the word with stress, you would definitely want to use the OW as in NOW diphthong. Thanks for your questions! :)
