If you’re learning English and looking specifically for how to learn English speaking, here I give you an in-depth tutorial. Spoken English is a skill that students learn alongside of their more traditional studies. In this video I take you through one of my one-of-a-kind Ben Franklin exercises. We’ll use a movie clip to do a thorough analysis of the spoken English used and I’ll show you how to improve your spoken English as we go. I’ve developed this process for learning English over the last 10 years and my students have always loved it! If you’re looking for a fun and unique approach for learning English I think you’ll benefit greatly. Helping English students learn how to improve their English has been my passion for years and I’m excited to help you!

Fascinating how you can elaborate on the pronunciation of a 30 second dialog during 30 minutes and I still take great delight in every moment of this thorough analysis. I gotta review all of your Ben Franklin videos. Just subscribed to the playlist. I alreeady watched some of them a few months ago, but I'll watch them again because there are some points I understand better after studying other resources. Just a question: what american accent does the actress playing the mother imitate ? Thanks again for your amazing videos. There are a lot of ESL/American Pronunciation KZfaq channels out there, but yours is definitely in my top tier, if not the absolute best of all (I mean it).

Fantastic lesson, Rachel. It really takes courage for non- native speakers dropping the final "t" when we say "can't" or "don't", we aren't sure we will be understood. Nonetheless, thank you for teaching us real American English!

The movie title is "On the Basis of Sex". The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In Brazil, "Suprema"; in Portugal, "Uma Luta Desigual".

You're the best teacher on YT, and believe me, I've been watching many videos lately. With your method it's so easy to remember what you teach: "phone it in" and "dial it in" are unrelentingly stuck into my brain! 😂😂😂😂 Thank you VERY much!
