First map you got it you just need to hold your drifts longer. I noticed you keeep cutting yours short and yeah you gunna keep seeing a lotta maps in high diamond it’s stupid😂😂😂

Nah they shouldn’t remove bumps. It removes the idea of having to adapt because of your opponents. Not it’s just who can follow the fastest route the fastest. Not who knows which situation is better based on the situation your are in. Like how you chose to not go for a boost pad bc it’s too cluttered. Gives a bigger gap

I find that bumps lower the gap tremendously, especially with the current desync. I find time trial games generally have a much higher skill ceiling than RR ever could-think of trackmania.

i feel like there should be a no bump ghost alternative ranked mode that can still increase rank to be more open to different play styles, maybe with different rewards and restrictions. They at least need to fix up the bumping situation to where everyone isn't literally on top of each other, that would make it a lot more competitive. The updates they are putting out so far have been great, but if they cant fix it then maybe speed penalties for mass collisions or screwing with one person too long?

I think there should be a no collision casual mode. Competitive racing requires adaption to your opponents racing style while maximizing your own, avoiding bumps and re gaining those lost spots feel much better than just avoiding all collision. (IMO)

PLEASE LETHAMYR, hold your joystick down to tilt your car up... you FLY SO MUCH FURTHER and you'll have atleast 40% boost left. it doesn't slow you down at all and you'll easily make this jump 7:00

Hey Leth! I really want to give you a really good advice on a tech I may have discovered, if you rocket drift to the opposite way of your current drift, the drift cancels completely and you get the boost of your drift, that way you don't have to wait until the car finishes straightening up to get the boost, or you can use it for abruptly changing directions for another drift/jump/etc while also getting the boost you had. This is specially useful for when either you are on a straight, or you don't have much space or time to make a drift boost, giving the car much more handling when desired, while getting those extra fast boosts on command, giving you complete freedom of whether you want to finish your drift boosts. When trying it out, it really made difference on how races are driven and gave the car much more depth (plus sometimes doing it feels like Crash Team Racing poweslide mechanics FTW), and it would be really cool if you tried this out, maybe we may just call it "drift cancel" or "boost cancel" or something like that 😂 Amazing video as always, love and MERRY CHRISTMASSSS 😄

It would be interesting for you to try Trackmania for a week, maybe get coached or something, so you can have a perspective on Rocket racing as a 2023 racing game. Also I think Danny doesn't realize the collision he's colliding with is already a ghost non player due to the servers lol. I think having everyone on 1 server so that you arnt colliding with ghosts is prob the move b4 removing collision entirely.

Personally i disagree with you on collision, I think it is important in making sure the races aren’t too predictable and perfectible. If you could race the exact same lines every time it would become stale and you might as well play any other traditional racing game. I think an item mode would be a more natural progression, as making this game fun and accessible for casual/new players will be a more successful route than focusing on the competitive side. E.g. why mario kart outsells all other racing games.

fyi on pleasant pitstop you want to take the left side with the 2 boosters, boost over the flat platform then take the trail shortcut and you'll get first almost every time (i'm in elite)

A little before 14 min you guys were talking about collision. Idk y'alls personal lives so idk if you play Trackmania (Tm), I do. Here's my take. In Tm it's better to not have collision. If 1 mistake is made there goes the race. If collision were to happen it would take away literally the whole game. Formula 1 cars competing for hundredths or thousandths of a second. Only 1 or 2 lines will give u the win. When playing Cup of the day many people will be taking the same exact line. Ghost feature is better. RR competes for small margins of time. But there's there's boost and jumping. (For the technical smart asses, ik there is in Tm as well, in RR is based on your own actions, at any time you can drift with a button, in Tm you have to have a certain speed and angle, steering the car 2 directions). You dont have to take the exact same line. RR also comes from RL, with demos, dont call this Rocket anything, if you take away collision, that's like putting bumpers on. Either make an additional feature on RR for Ghost an all who want that can play with each other, but if you want a speed based game with ghost, Trackmania already exist. (My apologies for the book, I like to explain my thoughts fully)

im almost D3 now and in the top 1500, I know I can go for elite at least, but im debating on really learning the maps to rank up faster. Im just hoping the grind isn't too tough, I feel like whenever i try forcing a rank up rather than just playing to win and for fun things don't work out for me. Its not like I NEED unreal, it all just depends on how much I end up liking the experience. Also, I love how long you waited to say pause after that sus comment you made about danny and trev in the shed =D 15:15

Dude, you have amazing racing skills ! Congrats on the great content. Can you help a "rookie" out ? lol I've been slowly but steadily climbing the ranks, currently at Plat II, almost III and I don't know how farther can I go without knowing how to air roll towards the ground. I use mouse and keyboard. I know just fine how to roll sideways or to the ceiling, but I whenever I right click for rolling without a direction, it rolls towards my last input or upwards. Pressing the down key doesn't seem to work either. How do you do it ?

I think it can be, but drifting too long drops you down to 570. The second you see your speed dropping you should back out of the drift

I lobe rocket racing but i got so burnt out of having to grind the crap put of the game even to hit diamond. I get the games are shorter than regular fortnite games but the queueing always takes at least 5 minutes for lobbies. Just wish you also got more than like 2 or 3 percent for 1st as well.
