Wild Touring thank you for keeping it real and sharing an epic experience on the beach as the tide rolled in and into the night. Had a good chuckle at the cocktails, good on you for sharing. We got hammered recently when we shared a night of enjoyment with the locals in Port Fairy watching a Cold Chisel Tribute Band. We sang out hearts out for a band we had grown up with with local strangers and yes we were slightly tipsy. Our motto is "Live your best life" and we have no regret from what we share on our adventures. Keep you videos coming, we love them.

Awsome video cam! We met the owner of that shack about 7-8yrs ago while camping there. Family fishing shack there used to be a lot more but the got claimed river mouth moving over time. Also for the starlink some guys I know who use them for mining exploration have a small space case setup with foam inserts to keep everything nice and secure. It’s they don’t break it in those I don’t think you would they are rough on their gear.

Oh that's cool! I'm so impressed that it doesn't look like it's been vandalised over the years - even has glass windows!! Hopefully it stays standing for many more years to come. Appreciate the space case suggestion, that's definitely something I'm considering!

Guys I've just subscribed today. really enjoyed this I need to ask you though what you would recommend for a 4x4 vehicle for this type of driving as I'm a keen drone fisherman and we'll probably attempt some simple beach fishing tracks not sure what to buy I was looking at the Isuzu and the Ford ranger. Any help advice would be great. Need it to tow a decent caravan aswell and be good for beaches and WA sand dunes and comfortable! Thanks lads. adam Aorry forgot to say ill order the vehicle before i move from the UK. I'm a new Aussie citizen 👍🎣

As others said drifta has a bag to suit, or it’s something pm canvas can make. As for the cable you can get shorter ones via the starlink store. Also highly unlikely to see a 12v adaptor since it uses 48v Poe.
@WildTouring
@WildTouring Жыл бұрын
Cheers Mitch, was already thinking about having a chat to PM Canvas about it! Can you send me a link to the shorter cable? Just had a look again and can’t see anything from them shorter than the 75ft ours came with? I’d have thought that Starlink would offer a 12v router in the future- especially since they’re marketing it for ‘RV’ use. I’ve seen a few Americans are using 12v to 48v dc to dc converters and a 48v PoE injector, but looks like it requires chopping cables to fit different connectors. Not something I know enough about to attempt!
@SUPERTRUCKER166
@SUPERTRUCKER166 Жыл бұрын
@@WildTouring it’s a standard cat 6 cable with a stp end. I just looked on the store and the 10m ones aren’t listed atm. But I believe there is aftermarket options.

Hi cam, super impressed with the videography (think that’s the word) on this one. Great job mate. What’s the larger screen on your dash that’s turned off? Also re the TPMS I read on another forum to make the screen easier to see put a business card under it and let it protrude about 10-20mm at the front and the reflection of the white on the screen helps you see it better. Might be worth a try.
@WildTouring
@WildTouring Жыл бұрын
Cheers Robert! The screen is my safety Dave rear view camera (for the van). Came with the caravan- glad I didn’t buy it because the resolution on it is atrocious for 2023 😂 And thanks for the suggestion with the TPMS 👍🏼

Is that the RV version or just the normal home version of Starlink? Also what swag stretcher are you using? Looked super easy to set up. Another great vid mate 👍
@WildTouring
@WildTouring Жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! It’s the RV version, I don’t think you can use the home version in different locations. Swag and stretcher are Kulkyne Big Boy. Heavy and bulky, but if that doesn’t bother you then I reckon it’s the best design and most comfortable sleep system I’ve seen yet.

Starlink is expensive ! ? You dropped $100K on the Cruiser and another $50k on pimping it, but $399 purchase plus $`179/month (opt in only when on the road if you want) is expensive ? 😂 BTW you can buy the unit and pay $139/month at home to get that speed you have there on the test you did in the video. Then when you go away, jump on the app, upgrade (for your trip duration) to the Roaming level. ($179/month) then drop it back to residential $139 when you get back.
