My Short Film GTA 5 "Duel" based on original road thriller film Duel 1971.
The main character encounters a dilapidated tank truck in a desert. Protagonist passes the truck, but the truck speeds up and roars past him. When he overtakes and passes it again, the truck blasts its horn. Chase begins, the truck is trying to kill the main character. How the story ends you would see in a film.

Its amazing that this film was made for TV "Movies of Week" 1971. First time I actually saw it was 1973 during my summer vacation time from school, late night around 12am. An eleven year old kid who was terrified of that truck. This version came out looking great with the same intense, terrifying experience of the movie. Really enjoyed it, thanks!

I’ve probably watched this movie a hundred times at least. It was Steven Spielberg first movie and made on a very thin budget but has become a cult classic. The driver of the car was Dennis weaver who already had a long career in tv. No pyrotechnic explosions no cgi crap no stupid one liners, just a simple idea that worked and your version is a treat to watch. Well done, hopefully itl wake the new generation up to something other than the fast and furious garbage and realise they’re are hundreds of classic movies to catch up on.

I remember how 10-12 years ago people would recreate scenes from this movie in GTA San Andreas. Time is passing, huh? The only thing I would change is the car, because it just doesn't look like it couldn't outrun the truck (I don't know if there are any mods for the Plymouth Valiant, or even lookalike's), but everything else is great!

tawseef hasanat There’s a parking lot near Los Santos Customs (the one near Bolingbroke Prison) where the Duke O’Death spawns. If you take it, trucks block the road and the drivers try to kill you.

chubby dog Story Mode only bro. I recommend doing it as Trevor since the guys that come after you tend to be pretty fast and accurate. You can use his special ability to kill them.

Hot Dang, I have seen this before, But every time i watch it i get goose Bumps, And you even have a Dennis weaver lookerlike in it to, That's crazy man. I have this film on DVD and i love it, All you need now is to do a Dennis weaver voice over man. Top line stuff guys Flipping brilliant. Now do the car OMG you could pull it off with ease, This is my 6th time watching this and it still blows my socks off.

The effects, the car that although it is not a Plymouth Valiant is a perfect car for this recreation of the movie. The Peterbilt 281 is very good and is identical to the one in the movie, except that it does not have the car license plates and the paint is brown and not rusty, but I really like it. I must also say that I was missing the bus part, the snake part, the bar and the sound of the radio at the beginning, which were important to understand the movie. With this I must admit that the recreation is spectacularly good but didn't you think about playing the soundtrack of the original? Which gave the atmosphere and suspense of being chased by a crazy trucker in the middle of the desert. Thank you very much, keep up the work.

Good Dennis Weaver look alike NPC! But..the Plymouth Valiant sure looked better in the movie :) 1:05 villain spotted! i'd use the engine sound from a milder vehicle that sounds like a quiet 6 cylinder. but! revisions granted! great mini movie..k, im back to the video, lol (you know me and my running commentary :) At least I don't have to count smashed cop cars, this time :) 9:09, good 'ol Rockstar and wardrobe issues. 11:31 Semi has 205.70.14" tires :p 25" in diameter! about your tire size for an 80's small/midsize car. 12:17. yup. traffic cones that are a major road hazard! are they carbon fiber? 12:38, the cones even lifted the semi!! great ending! Thnx for all the hard work, awesome job.

Thank you so much! I didn't find, unfortunately, Plymouth. In my opinion this vehicle more realistic of all. Traffic cones... ahaha The thing is, this is just an accident, I shot another episode, but decided to keep this moment in video. Regarding garments is one more bug Rockstar Editor. You're very attentive! :)

@@racingcargames2602 Ikr? well, we can do nothing, but laugh! tbh, i hope GTA6 is just as whacked, it makes things more interesting. I like to affix the 'JC3 Boosters' from the scriptmod of that name..(they look like coffee cups) to the bottom of the cylindrical traffic cones, after picking them up with the gravity gun and dropping them to break off the black base. a booster or two and they become a really cool rocket. same with roadside light poles, but you have to break the base off of those to allow them to be mobile. 1 or 2 rocket boosters and they fly up in the air or down the road, depending how you have them aimed, it's great.
