Loved this mate, some great research done. You can indeed walk on the old banking if you are there, done it many times over the years, my last visit was in 2016, you can never get over how steep the banking actually is! We used to go during the evening after we'd finished at the circuit for the day and go when it was deathly quite, goosebumps every time. Something any Motorsport fan needs to do.

Great video Dan, though I think there were a few more things you could have touched on. On the positive side of the story, you could have mentioned the closest finish in F1 history, when Peter Gethin won for BRM in 1971, with the top five cars separated by 0.6 of a second. I also think you could have briefly mentioned the unfortunate events of the Italian Grand Prix's history as they are also significant to F1 history as well. First, the fatal accident of Wolfgang von Trips, Germany's first F1 star, killed 15 spectators and inadvertently gave the 1961 title to teammate Phil Hill. After this crash, crash barriers were finally installed at Monza, many years before other circuits would do the same. Next, the fatal accident of Jochen Rindt in 1970, Austria's first F1 star and F1's only posthumous world champion, further increased the need for reducing speeds at the circuit. Last, the demise of Ronnie Peterson, Sweden's greatest driver and 3-time winner of the Italian Grand Prix, preceeded major changes in kerbs, runoff and barriers that went along with the upgrades to facilities throughout 1979 and 1980. I appreciate wanting to stay more on the positive side of the story, but I think these sad stories can't really be avoided if we want a more in-depth look at the history of the event.
