That is why with Mr Smith's story and the search of the vehicle that turned up nothing they let him go. As for "law abiding" no he drove nearly 0.2 miles without stopping for police, if the police had arrested him for that, that charge would have stuck. He also had windows that were way too dark, there is no way that is an accident, unless he had some random guy tint his windows. Most tinters will not tint your windows past the limit and those that will if you insist will inform you it is illegal and make you sign a waver saying you were informed and excusing them from liability if you get in trouble. Then there is the weed smell, he was either smoking or his friend was smoking it in his car, which Mr Smith got very defensive about and refused to answer questions so one of them was smoking, and if it was him, that is operating a motorized vehicle under the influence.
