I love Radahn so much. I wasn't able to include him in my other Elden Ring video, but I wanted to do something on Starscourge Radahn. So I did this mini Radahn Lore video. This will likely be my last Elden Ring Lore video, but we'll see. Radahn is Radagons child, and a super pure badass.

@@MichaelS5400 *SPOILERS* - The stars are tied to fate and progress in the Lands Between (at least according to the academy). My understanding from the revelation in the DLC that Malenia reminded Radahn of the vow with Miquella, Radahn stopped the stars and kept fighting to avoid becoming Miquella's puppet.

radahn and his army held back the rot from spreading further and radahn held the festival so he can die an honorable death, radahn really is the most pure character in elden ring. he did everything for his trusty horse 😭

By the time the Tarnished Protagonist arrives in the Lands Between, Radahn is a rotted husk of his former self, his mind consumed by the scarlet rot to the point he's little more than an animal. The festival was held by his soldiers. For warriors to face Radahn and give him an honorable death in combat, which at this point is more a mercy kill than anything else. General Radahn has been dead for a long time.

Honestly no… Morgott would be a more fitting Elden Lord since he’s actually the only demi god who didn’t betray the golden order and fought for it even though everybody shunned him(including the golden order & his family) Radahn didn’t do anything for the golden order except for ripping off a shard.

@@jkthegreat5687 In all fairness, Radahn was also saving the entire world every day by holding back the stars. We saw what one star was able to do, it blew a giagantic crater in Limgrave. Imagine what would have happened to the Lands Between if Radahn wasn't protecting it from the countless stars falling from space. In a way. Radahn probably saved the world countless times, yet the world never knew. That's very noble if you ask me

nah, as you can tell from metyr, mother of fingers whole side quest, the greater will has been absent for a long time, probably from even before marika became a god. The two fingers and all that were going on autopilot.

Funnily enough the DLC confirms that (spoilers ofc) the greater will has no plans. The Fingers don't actually know what it wants anymore. Grace is, presumably, controlled by Marika. So i guess she wants you to kill her kids. She kinda sucks. Really sucks actually.

@@God-nj8be I subscribe to the theory that Miquella ensircelled Malenia and sent her knowing that even if she "lost" she'd still bloom with rot and get Radahn killed eventually, and the manner of his death doesn't matter so long as his soul is freed. Miquella never really cared about either of them or what they wanted, IMO. He always just wanted to possess Radahn.

@@God-nj8be I believe this is not what happened, (credit to Vaati or one of the other prominent theorists I don't remember which one said it) I believe the strongest theory right now is that Radahn accepted the promise (whether due to being enchanted by Miquella or not) and was aware of the plan when Malenia was shown whispering something to Radahn in one of the trailers for the original game before releasing the Scarlet Bloom, the whisper is thought to be something roughly similar to Malenia basically saying that the time has come and Miquella is waiting for him, hence why Malenia fought Radahn, as he needed to be dead for Miquella to use his soul to recreate him in his prime with Mohg's body (as Mohg was also enchanted by Miquella who likely told him that he would becomes Miquella's Consort) This does leave some plot holes such as why Malenia was waiting for Miquella if she knew he would be in the realm of shadow, however this could also be attributed to Malenia waiting for Miquella to become a God and return to the Lands between to create his age of compassion, either way I do not believe Radahn rejected Miquella (whether that was due to Miquella's powers or Radahn agreeing on his own) I believe it was all planned by Miquella. This may be disproved in the future but this is what I believe the current strongest theory is

General Radahn, known as The Starscourge and the strongest demigod of them all, so powerful that even in his rot infested, maddened state he held back the very cosmos. Despite not being Empyrean he was undoubtedly equal to or perhaps even greater than them. Respected such that a festival of some of the greatest warriors in the Lands Between gathered in order to give him an honourable death by combat. Master of sword and sorcery, strongest of them all.

It’s even crazier when you can theorize that the entire reason Miquella’s ritual failed at Castle Sol was probably due to Radahn blocking out the stars, which kept foreign Gods from interfering with the Lands Between. This is likely the reason Malenia went to fight Radahn under Miquella’s orders(during this time might have been when Mohg kidnapped Miquella, without Malenia there to protect him). Even in his madness Radahn protected the Lands Between from foreign entities.

He takes care of those in misery and has nobles who teach them. He even had a former adviser ansbach. He was no saint dont get me wrong, but he was not evil. Nor broken, he just had a goal and wanted to achieve it. Not an evil goal either like world domination, he wanted his own kingdom of blood. Specifically the blood of the formless mother.

Godfrey likely did not get a say on Morgott's fate when he was banished to the shunning grounds. Because before you enter the tree you could see him holding Morgott in his hands, grieving for him. Another thing is that Godfrey doesn't really care about omens, since he led the crucible knoghts before

Chads in Elden Ring Lore who get completely shafted in the worst ways: Starscourge Radahn, an honorable warrior who learned gravity magic for the sake of his steed and is proud of his heritage: Driven to beastlike madness by his half-sister Malenia’s scarlet rot, now consumes the flesh of his comrades, unable to die and living in constant suffering. Morgott the Omen King, born with physical features he couldn’t control, detested by everyone and unloved, yet still rose to power as the king of the city took on a secret identity to defend the Erdtree fiercely and with love: Erdtree continued to reject him for his cursed blood even as he defended it during the Shattering, didn’t accept him until his curse was purged and he had already died. Godwyn the Golden, a charismatic and kind demigod who not only saved the city of Leyndell from a dragon invasion, but also allied with the dragons, strengthening the unity of the Golden Order: soul deleted as a part of a plot to overthrow the Order, mind and body continue to remain alive, but grows like a cancer and infects the Erdtree he defended. Miquella the Unalloyed, a caring and beloved empyrean cursed with eternal youth who has childlike hopes and dreams for the future of the Lands Between, gives up everything he was expected to become to save his sister and make a new life for those oppressed by the Golden Order: kidnapped and raped by his despicable half-brother, forced to become the vessel for a blood god of sacrifice and horrifically mutated by cursed blood, left in a comatose state while everything he worked for slowly decays and collapses. I think the tree kinda accepted Morgott due to the fact he was given Grace. An omen, given grace, that's not something that just happens. So in reality, it's more about the Golden Order rejecting him, them and their discrimination.

He stood for the Golden Order. Just like every Demigod in this story they all had their agenda. Ranni was no different, she wanted to break free from the Greater Will. Radahn wanted to keep the Golden Order in tact, continue to be a slave to the Greater Will. Which is weird after what Marika/Radagon did to Renalla his mother, he sided with Marika anyways.

Imo, the demigod most deserving of praise, as awesome and as much of a Chad as Radahn is, would be Morgott. He never abandoned the capital city of the Golden Order so he could protect the Erdtree. He defended the city through two attempts to take it over, at one point even facing and defeating Radahn himself (though based on his size this was Radahn a while before the campaign into Caelid, it's still a very impressive feat). Despite being despised by the Golden Order he defended it nonstop due to his love for the Erdtree and his parents' legacy, and upon his final defeat at our hands, he is finally accepted by the Erdtree, being cured of his Omen curse by the final blessing the Erdtree ever bestowed, and likely the only blessing the Erdtree bestowed after the Shattering. Absolute Chad all the way.

@gorb688 she did the equivalent to activating a suicide bomb vest because she couldn't win the fight, and not only did it permanently damage both of them severely, it also corrupted the entire section of the map that Radahn cared about and fought to protect. Saying she just "used an attack" is like saying Netero activating the rose bomb against Meruem was "just an attack". She did what she had to do to achieve partial victory but she did not fight honorably as Radahn did. Even Millicent states that she abandoned her pride to meet Radahn's measure.

@gorb688 except that isn't her power, it is the power of an outer god. The whole point of the line about her abandoning her pride is because she couldn't beat him with her own power and had to resort to the power of the outer god of rot. It is clearly implied that she couldn't fight him honorably. I won't deny that all is fair in war and she did what she needed to win, but the game disagrees with you if you say she fought Radahn honorably like he fought her.
