I have lived in Berlin for over 4 years, and I went to Munich for the first time three days ago. I was so surprised at how different the city was! It was too clean and had no graffiti! 😂

I came to Berlin 15 days ago and I can already understand 50% of the jokes. Can't wait to have the full Berlin experience and then go to Munich.

I'm from Munich, so I always have the opposite culture shock when visiting Berlin 😂

Fun fact guys: I saw an almost exact copy of this video yesterday, so I already know what’s going to happen in this video. Which I think now I believe I have time traveling powers, it was an amazing experience.

I actually liked Munich when I was there.. I like clean places .. Berlin was totally different.. its probably more multicultural.. and a bit cheaper.. but I found Munich cheaper than Ireland I'm from Ireland.. and Munich compared to Dublin. Munich is cheaper and its actually cheaper than my home town.. Berlin was a bit dirty and the pubs weren't as good.. nightclubs couldn't get in coz we weren't German or Turkish

I was two months last year in Berlin in Schönefeld, my company sent us to help another company.. Anyway, first thing that struck me was how much cleaner the public transport were in Munich, to see all those graffiti and the smell of urine in underground in Berlin was huge shock for me, seems like completely normal to see some drunk or high dude in U-Bahn verbally attacking another people, it's completely normal that some junkie comes to you and asking some money for the drugs while you're waiting for the train, so many punks, you can't see none of that..or really really rarely in Munich. There was even one or two murders on the Alexanderplatz. Berlin is bigger of course, much more rough compared to Munich, wilder, dirtier.. Some people like it, but I prefer Munich, and to be honest...i feel safer here 🙈

I used to think the most British like city was Hamburg followed closely by Bremerhaven as they are on the north west coast. Now I wonder if the city I live in now is more like Berlin than Hamburg. Rolling cigarettes after vaping in the norm where I live among smokers. And people are messy. But most people live in houses rather than apartment blocks. Some large houses have been divided up into flats.

My son's Australian high school is offering German next year. Looks like Chinese is not popular. German used to be common place in high schools in the 1980s but died off. Now it's making a come back. I think he would prefer Munich over Berlin... He is more conservative than I. Maybe a sugar granny might like him too...

Unfortunately just about all big metropolitan cities in Europe experienced severe decline. That Berlin is no exception is rather painful. That Munich, which itself is a sizeable town, escaped it, gives me good vibe.

Actually, I found a very cool 2nd hand store in Munich. But it was one... compared to the many ones in Berlin 😅

When it's ten euro for a beer what size is it? In the UK it now costs £5.75 on average for a pint of beer which is 568mls. Half a pint of beer doesn't touch the sides. I can't wait for Oktoberfest when the beer is served in steins of about 750mls.

I haven't been to Germany but I have heard from Montrealers that they somehow feel akin to Berliners. I figured they were crazy to make that comparison but after seeing this video of Berliner in Munich I see the striking similarities.

By the way, your video is funny and it's understandable that you find Munich boring ... especially if you stay in Altstadt (Old Town), where only the richest can afford living and shopping there 😉 Your dance on Marienplatz at the beginning reminds of those dancers, mostly hip-hop dancers in Paris, even on the Champs-Elysées avenue. But, people in Paris gather around the dancers, interact with them and support them; which is not likely to happen in Munich. Would they do that in Berlin ?

lol 10€ for a beer seems normla in germany now. When I traveled to Mainz a month ago they also charged me 10€ for 1L. And a few years ago I was in Hannover at a "Oktoberfest" and they also charged 10€ for 1L beer. Seems normal price/cheap for munich.
