Please could you stop the noise, I'm trying to get some rest
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
When I am king, you will be first against the wall
With your opinion which is of no consequence at all
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy
You don't remember
You don't remember
Why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head, man
Off with his head, man
Why don't you remember my name?
I guess he does
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height
Height
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height
Height
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
That's it, sir
You're leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic, the vomit
The panic, the vomit
God loves his children, God loves his children, yeah

Mankind is responsible for world hunger. We mustn't blame God. God has given mankind freewill, and let him govern this planet. Mankind's selfish greed causes world hunger, and malnutrition. But God has a plan. This world is temporary. It is passing. Even the scientists and meteorologists are beginning to realise that. And who's to blame for destroying this planet God created? The answer is man! Yet God is merciful. He sent His only begotten Son, that all who call upon Him shall be saved, and find life eternal free from sin, and suffering. If anyone rejects the Son, they only have themselves to blame, and they will be judged, and condemned for all eternity. What is a brief lifetime of suffering, compared to eternity in paradise?
@stephencharlesrowden3622

@Siddhant Ghimiray Read my reply above. I forgot to tag it. God is love. But the god of this world is the devil. He is a temporary landlord, awaiting his fate, along with his seed. Soon, there will be no more hunger, no more tears, no more suffering for all eternity. Only a blind fool would reject this!

So well crafted it still amazes me twenty something years later. It has so many rough and sharp edges , quirky pieces and apparently chaotic lines that it doesn’t make sense it sounds so rounded, balanced, naturally put together... perfect. Like it just emerged, like it exists by universal necessity, when at the same time it’s unrepeatable, an exception that hence couldn’t happen twice in a billion of years. Think how many damn things had to align for this song to exist and be played by all the major stations and music themed Tv channels... it kinda shouldn’t be there, but it does and now it’s way to eternity is unstoppable.

An interpretation I read: The first part of the song "Please could you..." to "What's that..." resembles the paranoid person (not hard to interpret giving the first couple lines). The second part "Ambition makes you look pretty ugly" to "I guess he does" is the paranoids person's antagonist (someone who always speaks his mind and brings down the paranoid person). And the rest of the song resembles the android. Take a look at the video with this in mind.

I recently made a list of the top 500 songs of all time. This song was #1. Here's my description from Rate Your Music: "If you've looked through this list, my choice for the number one song ever probably won't surprise you. Of all the songs I've heard in my life, none of them (not even Radiohead's other songs) can send me to the place this song does. "Paranoid Android" is the pinnacle of all songs. It's the perfect blend of beauty, anger, confusion, wonder, irony, transcendence, human tragedy and hopelessness, and ultimate "fuck all of you assholes" spiritual awakening! It truly sends an open mind through the universe of human emotions. Somehow, Radiohead gives dystopia a rare view that's equally beautiful and terrifying. The first two minutes are the most beautiful two minutes I've ever heard. I'm not lying when I say that I can't listen to it without choking up. I've played the song hundreds of times, and it fills my senses and emotions every time. After the blissed out two minutes, the song takes a mood swing and the new direction shows off the talents of every band member with the amazing Philip Selway leading the way with his stellar percussion talents. While Thom spits lyrics about more assholes (or squealing Gucci little piggies, as he likes to call them) the new direction is suddenly interrupted with Johnny Greenwood's chainsaw electric guitar attack, and with Thom screaming "Why don't you remember my name?", the boys stay in their nearly perfect "acid rock" detour for just long enough before you're dropped into the abyss. The next minute and a half is a totally different "suite" that bathes in the healing power of falling rain, and it feels like an awakening of sorts even as it slips back into hell as Thom slurs "The panic, the vomit, the panic, the vomit, god loves his children, god loves his children, yeah!" And then another attack by Johnny that leads into one of the strangest, most creative guitar solos ever, before the whole thing abruptly stops. Tell me this song is like "Bohemian Rhapsody" one more time, and I might panic and vomit! It's the ultimate journey through every feeling felt and not felt by humans. A masterpiece of masterpieces. And there you have it. I said it. Let it be known. Ha!"

@@taasinbinhossainalvi9173 if you like sci fi that isn't too challenging but enjoyable, yes. It's a fantastic watch imo, if you like to let go of your expectations and enjoy the story. It's one that makes you think after, and definitely good for a rewatch as well. The dub is probably my favorite but the sub has amazing english VAs, Liam and Karen (and Patrick) are just titans in every role they take. If you like a little mystery sci fi that is fun but not sweet, this is a good show for you. If you liked cowboy bebop but only want to watch 23 episodes, give ergo proxy another go. It's one of those artistic animes.

Augh just shoosh!!! The 90s were a whole ten years and I might not seam like much but we have just about passed 10 years in the 2000s and there has been a lot better music than this (not saying this isn't flipping epic) but just to say nothing has happened since then to now, yes there is a lot more dubstep and pop but there is still some pretty skilled musicians just like radio head out there and some to still be discovered

There is no muse in the vocals (duh) but the rest of it gives showbiz and a bit of black holes and revelations Until the second part which is more absolution than absolution. Oos vocals too Then the next but sounds a bit like the finale song of drones mixed with simulation theory with a bit of showbiz, and then that goes (still oos vocals in a way). Then it’s back to absolution guitar with a bit of drones.

84Bronco351 I can't help but severely hate creep. It just sounds too... Normal for radiohead. Ever since OK Computer was in development, Thom just stopped caring if people would listen to his brilliant ideas or not. He just made them. Pablo Honey sort of sounds like the album they made just to say "hey, we exist too, we're a thing". Well, I guess it worked.

Guys, music is however you interpret it. That's one of the most rewarding things of being an artist.. People can see your work differently when you may have meant the total opposite, and that's what gives art its depth. That's why I like reading comments. Everyone is saying Asya Kirgiz is "wrong" but he's not. He interprets the music in a different way, and if you can also see it from his point of view... Well, you're just a well rounded person.
