Literally everyone watched The Big Breakfast in the 90s; it was hilarious, it was chaotic, and it felt like a warm cuppa before school. After 19 years Johnny Vaughan revisits the property and reminisces about times with David Bowie, as well as loads more.

Live/improv shows were TV's golden years, especially in the morning. Why they ever got rid of the format bothers me to this day, digital tv would have made things incredibly easy but alas here we are, stuck on netflix and amazon. What a world

I think the advent of social media finally put an end to this kind of thing. People being themselves, genuinely having fun with almost no filter. Once the early noughties were done and social media bedded in, people became preoccupied with image and opinions and identity.

Used to watch it every morning when I lived with my dad after staying up all night. Went through a phase of staying up all night. My dad would get up and get ready for work as the show was starting. He would usually chuckle at something Johnny was saying or doing while he himself was slurping back his tea as he was heading out the door. Dad's gone now and the world has moved on. I'll always have fond memories of those days, where does the time go, it seems like yesterday.

I LOVED the Big Breakfast when I was a teen, it had such a Tiswas feel to it - the Evans and Logan years were great... I also enjoyed it when Mark Little was there for a time, the worst years were when Richard Orford, Rick Adams and Sharon Davies presented it... but once Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen got together it was awesome. I used to tape the episodes on VHS and on cassette tapes which I've long since lost. This was truly an inspired programme the likes of which I've never seen since. "Singing wakey, wakey, wakey rise and shine, the Big Breakfast is the only way to dine, it's your number one big brekkie so get it down your neckie and stick with us from 7 until 9." I have several fond memories regarding this amazing programme. I remember never being able to find the house on a map, and years later I would walk within feet of it as I took my seat in the 2012 Paralympics. I remember Ray Park flipping around on the front lawn after Ahmed Best fluffed his lines. Paula getting way too cosy with Michael on the bed, but at least they're at peace together now. Cable Casual, Carpet Monster, Stern Lawrence & Linton. The dad from the family of the week getting roped in to fixing the carperts during the show. The girl who wanted to be Macy Gray on Stars in their eyes but was rejected because she was the wrong skin colour. Jo Guest showing off her.. intellect. But I remember most being selected to present the route to midnight in 1998, and appeared on the show in June 1998, with footage from the hotel I worked at and the pokey little flat I lived in at the time. I'm desperate to see the footage again, if only to see how thin I was and the hair I was sporting at the time

THE BIG BREAKFAST It was the only show that made me smile and belly laugh from 7am , i mean at 7.05am i was literally creased up laughing, my life was complete then, watch big breakfast then happy and content for the day. I never missed a show even the millennium night i was up all night, streaky bacon that night was hilarious with Richard bacon. Now it's gone it's like losing a family member, Tears and sadness ruined my days, i was so happy in the morning's, now it seems a chore to watch whats left of breakfast shows. I'm so lost without it. Nothing compares to it, not even close!!! Please bring it back johnny v,while your still young, pretty please! Big breakfast will never be forgotten and probably never be equalled :(

Watching this and thinking about all the great times, the complete distractions before going to high school....it's nearly bringing a tear to me eye, thinking that we'll never do it or see it again (said by a 48 yr old male). The 90's mean and meant absolutely everything to me and others. We have the memories, the stories and of course the smiles.

BB was so 90s. The idea that at 7am on a weekday the nation was Mad For It turned out to be a winner. What's happened now? Even the young people are bent over their phones.

Oh wow! This is a treat. Johnny Vaughan back at The Big Breakfast House, everything was momentarily alright with the world. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the one-off special, next year, and if it will lead to a permanent return. The outside of the house hasn't actually changed very much since the way it looked when the show ended. Just some slight differences to the doors and windows, new tiling on the roof and windows added to the attic conversion. Mind you, the house underwent several vast changes when the show was there. The house that Chris and Gaby started the show with has completely vanished, there's nothing at all left of it on display except for the three brick chimneys. Probably half of the original brickwork remains, but is forever lost beneath the render which was applied in the 1996 makeover. The greenery has grown immensely, looks lovely. Although the inside is hugely different now, most fanatics of the show will still easily see where everything once was. I've always been so pleased that the treasured Big Breakfast house wasn't simply left to rot. Hope it is forever looked after as well as it has been, whatever changes may occur to it over time.

There is still a lot of the white picket fence on the side of the house too.

I think most of it lining the towpath is actually the same fencing from when it began in 1992. As far as I'm aware, they never changed it. I was somewhat surprised that Johnny felt that it had changed a lot outside, because I don't think it's actually changed much at all from the style of 1998 onwards.

Had great fun on the Big Breakfast back in 1998 being interviewed by ‘jolly Johnny Vaughan’ as he called himself with my ringtones. One of the camera men gave me some great advice which lead to me setting up the B5 Ringtone Licence with the MCPS.... legend of a show!

Yep I used to watch The Big Breakfast. I dunno, so many things from youth seem better than things today. Are we getting worse, or do we always look back with such Rose tinted glasses? In any case I loved Johnny and Denise on that show. Those were the best hosts for me

I was lucky as my mum introduced me to suiting stars a kid. I love Alan partridge and things most 20 year olds wouldn’t get. I am 33 so I was a kid in the 90s. The 2000s was all football factory and Kevin and Perry.

The Big Breakfast was so much fun back in the day! I always wanted to live in that house as a kid lol. I remember that they once gave away an exact replica of the house as a prize in a competition. I always wondered if they'd built it specifically, or if it was just a matching house from the same development or something? (probably the latter, but as a kid I was like "wow....they built a replica house??? That's amazing...") I wonder if that duplicate is still standing?

It was great to be asked to appear on the show. Johnny made me feel better as I was nervous & asked me the questions about tractors & Liza was in her brown overall & yellow wellies. Liza was in charge of marshalling the tractors in for me to identify by the sound of the engine.
