Meet Radwimps from Japan, whilst on their first European tour and still buzzing from a fantastic show at the O2 Academy in London, the boys recently popped into Gibson for a chat.
Formed in High School they debuted independently in 2003 and later signed to major label Toshiba EMI from 2005. The band have had great success in Japan and have released 7 albums.

Considering he spend ages 6-9 in the United States, that's usually the time that people go to school. Presumably, he interacted with classmates, learned grammar, and some English cursive.

you guys stereotype too much lol This is just a difference in their personalities, not a cultural one. Also, they can't understand English, so they're just nervous or dumbfounded. Many Japanese artist speak in a relaxed manner during interviews. When they speak with strict manners, it's when they have someone they respect in front of them.

He actually sings all of Your Name's songs in english for the english dub. And I couldn't even tell it was a Japanese man. I thought for sure it was an American.

Noda your English is awesome, I never expect your English is like native speaker, I would say you're is English native speaker. Your voice is very strong and manly. But, when you speak japanese, your voice is very sweet like typical boy in manga. Good luck for you guys!!! cant wait for your next album

I am not surprised of Yojiro's English accent!! I was surprised to know that those English versions of "your name" songs was not done by any American native speaker but it was Noda😍 His English singing is so natural and perfect I thought it was an American!! he also helped to write the lyrics. No matter in what language he speaks his voice sounds hot🔥Love this man. but his band is underratted!

Omg I never knew noda was this good in English IM REALLY SUPRISED. Edit: after I read the comments knowing that he spent few years his childhood in his the states. For me I spent few years in China in my childhood, and I’m still bad in my chinese 😫. And he’s so good in Japanese and English. I admire him. And my parents are disappointed in me 😣

Only a recent fan/recently discovered the band. I was surprised at the English version of "Sparkle". I thought it might have been sung by someone else. But Noda's English is as good as it gets. No questions as to who did the Eng version.
