ODB's wild cadence and eccentric style gave the illusion that he was nuts but if you really listen to his lyrics the guy was borderline genius. Many of his lyrics were comical and over the top but he also spoke a lot about Islam and social issues. He just did it in a way that always made you smile. He was great for hip hop and will be forever missed.

ODB was one of my top 5 rappers of all time. So unique & talented in an off-beat way. Died w/ a bag of coke in his stomach, trying to evade the drug laws that sent him to prison the first time. If addiction is a disease, why do we send addicts to prison over it? What other disease do we treat with incarceration?

He wasn't the same after jail, all the assaults he took, always drug tested on parole, he was a broken bored man.
