What a jewel!! This song is ageless!! For years I thought it was Laura Branningan original!! RAF created a song that will last forever and the Laura's cover as well!! I 'll keep listening to it and celebrating forever!!

Obviously lauras version cut the head of this anytime, is the very foundation of mainstream 80s synthpop, however ,like this version's uptempo beat and i feel like the synth sequencer is more prominent on this one than lauras vers.

Raf con questa canzone hai dimostrato essere un genio e nessun altro cantante italiano io sappia è riuscito a far suonare la propria canzone in questo caso: "self control", in una delle prime puntate della 1' stagione del telefilm Miami Vice, sei un grande e te lo dice uno ascolta solo metal e punk

I have never heard this(the original) before, but this is better then the Laura Branigan cover. It's richer in terms of tones and instruments. Better mix over all.
