Djokovic leads Nadal on hard courts 20-7 but only 2 of those losses came after 2011 when Djokovic hit his prime. Let that sink in. Also after 2011 on clay his record is 8-11. At one point Djokovic led Nadal on clay. Let that sink in. These stats right here prove who the goat is.

Overall nadal leads 11-7 vs djokovic at grand slams matches. And only 1-2 yr age difference. And nadal had much more injury struggle throughout his career. But djokovic is a beast And I say they are 50/50 the best top 2.

@@user-dn3fv9lx3e dude not even close. I knew Djokovic had the stats on virtually everything but I was surprised that post 2011 Djokovic at one point had a 7-5 lead against Nadal on clay. Seriously think about that record against the king of clay from 2011-2016. Djokovic was prime and Nadal was still winning RG every year, Nadal didn't decline any. Think about it, fed got like 1 win against Nadal on clay while Djokovic has 8 or 9 whatever it is. Huge advantage.

@@thistagworked I checked their head to head record after 2011 and my conclusion is Nadal is better at clay but Djokovic is better on all other surfaces which makes djokovic the better player in total.

@@AAAAAA-gj2di ok if we look at it that way, then Nadal is the better player on clay while Djokovic is better on the other surfaces which makes djokovic the best. I can agree with that. Its only Nadals Roland garros wins that puts him up 11-7 vs djokovic in grand slams. So if he wasnt eliminated or pulled out at the other slams then djokovic would be leading. I can agree with that.

I have to say that the first two matches of that year, Nadal was really close to win (especially in Miami when it coud have gone to either side) but that Djokovic was a player nearly imposible to beat.

@@mysticnomad89 3 times lucky ay ? 2010 ,2011 US Open semies and 2019 Wimbledon final . In all 3 matches Fed had 2 match points and he lost . Novak didn't get ,, lucky ,, . Just because you have match points doesn't mean you won the match , you have to win 1 more point . He played either poorly or didn't do enough and Novak made sure he would not give the matches up easily . His mindset was like if you want to win you will have to earn it , I won't give anything away for free . If anything it just goes to show how strong mentally Novak was and how shaky Roger got once he had chances to seal the deal . Novak's never say die attitude is why he ended with the most slams and overall big titles , and why he is the GOAT .

As a RF Fan - Novak & Nadal have a Brave Hearts & steel body’s , when I see that matches of these legends I feel it’s a war between The Rocks .. But with Roger is different Way always , Federer trying to end the point quickly & easily .. He don’t have patience like Rafa & Nole 😊

Just like Nadal Federer can complain that he beat everyone at FO but lost to Nadal several times. If Nadal was not there Federer would have won 5 more FOs and 1 more Wimbledon and 1 more AO

Djokovic in 2011 not only played his best tennis and won but he completely turned around his rivalry with Fedal. Its not easy to do that having lost to them so many times. Once he did that, he almost never lost to them again. There were close matches of course, but he was "extra" motivated to win and had that self belief to come through tough moments.

What is so special about Novak? 2011 was historically the best season ever for any player, but in 2021 and 2023, 11 and 14 years later, he was overwhelmingly dominating like he did in 2011, may be even a shade higher. It is this consistentcy at the highest level which has transmogrified him to be the Greatest Athelete in the history of any sport.

Djokovic turned pro in the year Alcaraz was born.He has the number one quality:STAMINA(ENERGY) but he is an old man. Don't l1e. Nadal played in all French open except for 2023 and 2016 when he withdrew from second round. His chances in Wimbledon and hard court slams were anyway slim after 2011.

This seems like a good time to interject some Novak v Rafa stats. Novak needs 1 Olympic Gold to tie Rafa Rafa (209 weeks) needs over 200 more weeks at #1 to tie Novak (400+) Rafa needs to finish #1 at the end of the the year 3 more times to tie Novak Rafa needs 2 more GS to tie Novak Rafa needs to win 4 GS in a row to achieve Novak’s consecutive slam. Rafa needs 1 more AO and 1 more Wimbledon to get his 3rd Career GS while Novak needs only 1 more FO for his 4th Rafa needs to win the Paris Masters and Miami open to earn his 1st Golden Masters while Novak needs only 1 more Monte Carlo for his 3rd. Rafa needs to win Indian Wells and Miami Open back-to-back 4 times to tie Novak’s “Sunshine Doubles” record Rafa needs to win the ATP Finals 7 times to tie Novak While Rafa’s dominance at the FO is impressive, the flip side is that he has only won 3 consecutive GS once while Novak has done it 4 times. It also means that he has only won 3 in a season once while Novak has done it 4 times. Rafa hasn’t beaten Novak on a hard court since 2013.  Thank you!
