朝起聞雨雀，日暮聽風泉。
興時撥素弦，垂釣月中天。
Arguably as one of the most well-acclaimed Neofolk artists from China, the Sichuan-based musician Han and his associates have managed to gain major overseas recognition with a highly prolific discography ranging from trancing neofolk to ambient worldmusic. Raflum (aka. 雨鎖悲秋melancholic autumn enchained by rain) is Han's main solo project and have till this date released three full lengths -- according to many as among those top-tiered materials ever created in Chinese neofolk scene. Elements in reminiscent of bands like Vàli and Empyrium are prominent in the first full length titled Forgotten woods in autumn's silence: a beautifully composed hymn of nature with guitarlines of serenity and ethereal keyboards. Raflum has underwent some major changes of composing styles into a simplistic approach of ancient Chinese water-colored landscape and Zen: in his later two releases 林泉吟/Melodies of forests and springs and歸棹guī zhào/Returning boat: the soothing subtle plucking of strings began to blend into a style more similar to that of traditional Chinese instruments like Guqin, with the presence of cellos and keyboards gradually pushed to the background, while counting on guitarlines of flowing creeks, flutes of sojourning winds, and chanting of meditating spirits to evoke an atmosphere that is so alienate to modern world, in other words, in the later two releases (especially guī zhào), Raflum's ego-free natural enchantment echoing and reinterpreting ancient traditions become fully matured.
In celebration of Raflum's 10 years anniversary, this December Pest Productions will release a reissue of his entire discographies in digipack cds, with special puzzle cover arts and limited to 200 copies, as well as special bonus tracks on each side. 100 copies out of which will be released as special anniversary box-sets: the box-set will contain all three full length in digipacks, one flag depicting the special reissue cover, one patch, and 5 cards with original cover arts.

I used to listen to this while pandemic was starting around the globe. I tried to get relaxed and keep focusing because lockdown wasn't still stated in my country. Hopefully, I haven't lost anybody, but I got paid much less this whole year and it's been really difficult to pay bills, food and so on. But here I am, listening again to this beautiful sounds. Mainly a black metal fan when it comes to metal. Also some death metal and grind, but mostly the big names in that case, like Death and Cryptopsy. I imagine that there's a lot of overlap between ClassicalTube, FolkTube, and BlackMetalTube audiences. We have the best taste in music.

I listen to this in mourning of my best friend. Live in Kentucky out in the hills on about 400 acres. There's a creak in front of my place and another on the left side . See deer, turkey, rabbits, hawks, and all kinds of other animals around my place. This fits right in rather nicely.

yea. Atleast I do. Mostly listen to black metal, gore grind, and other extreme metal. My guess why lots of metalheads go here (seems to me more of the "underground" extreme metalheads go here) is trying to find peace and solitude when all the most angry heavy riffs, ear peirceing voices and lofi sound dosent do anything like how a drug addict always trys to find the same feeling he did when he first did that drug but with no result and this is when the drug addict finds that the colorful lsd induced rainbows and such aren't as great and vast as the colors of the forest during autumn. Sure it will feels wierd and uncomfortable with this new sound but when you make peace with it; it feels like you've reached nirvana. Or maybe even after a long day of ear piercing tremolo picking, loud blast beats with its stampede of the bass drum and the bass guitar that sounds heavy enough to cut a man's body cuts down our hearing dramatically and this album is the life saver for our ears. The guitar sounds like the audio form of completing a long and exciting journey with you standing after the hike looking upon the vast and deep colors of the sunrise with your dog beside with you. or something like that I don't know it's way past my bed time, I need some sleep for school tomorrow.

I closed my eyes and the music transported me to a green hill beside a forest lake. The orange evening sun is setting down far west on the horizon with golden haze on blue velvet sky. as i sit in the rain listening to this, i look to the moon and feel the rain run down my face as i breath slowly. 3 seconds of breathing in, 3 seconds of stillness, and 3 seconds out. my katana sits at my side, the symbol of struggle and of fight, but all i can feel is peace and some sadness for those of my brothers and sisters in the comments who are struggling in their own war. love to all of you, even if you find it weird that someone would say that without knowing you. reading some of your stories deeply despairs me, and i want the best for you. you can all find the relief and peace from your storm, if not now then at least some calm for your storm. i came here to meditate but soon found struggling i could not ignore. you people deserve the peace you seek in life.
