An entire generation of gamers was introduced to massively multiplayer online (MMO) games through Ragnarok Online. I was part of that generation. Although the game did not reach the success of World of Warcraft, it resonated with a lot of gamers because of its old-school charm and deep gameplay. The music also plays a large part of this charm because of its diversity and really good melodies and arrangements.
For this medley, I chose five of the most memorables pieces from the Ragnarok Online soundtrack and stitched them together under one arrangement starting with the most nostalgic and emotional songs then ending with a bang.

Tree of Savior may look similar to RO and they add the "full action" game play... but many elements in the game that makes it... far from RO. For example: No freedom in hunting, we can't hunt high leveled monsters because of the "EXP Penalty".

A few times a year I come back and just listen to the good old Ragnarök Online songs because they remind me of the time with my older brother. He brought me to this game and we used to play it to compensate our horrible childhood. Now I'm sitting here completely teared up and writing this comment. He committed suicide around 11 months ago. Life always has been very rough with me. I just want to grind through payon dungeon again with my brother,... I'm missing him so much.

same man... same, i was 16 when the game came out. best game ever. I used to play ultima online too , on role play server, and that game was also amazing. But ragnarok has no rival up to this days. I love to play Genshin now, but its mostly solo.

Personally, what I loved about Ragnarok Online were the times I was able to spend with my friends, the number of friends I made online and across the globe, and the sense of pure adventure I got when I played, getting lost everywhere.

I actually cried for the first time in a long while hearing the Pront theme it brought back so many feelings made me feel as if once again I had no worries or stresses in life like when I was younger. Same with Bragi... Not to mention how beautifully they are played, simply beautiful thank you. You can't find the people of the old days in this game anymore or in any game it seems. So nice and always willing to help whether you joined their respective guilds or not, instead of trolling and scamming most people watched out for one another.. The Nostalgia kills me! Again though this is a late response thank you so much for posting this video and thank you for bringing me back.. I really needed it! Subscribed.

@@StringPlayerGamerOfficial I believe it is the same for all of us! 15 years ago was it's prime and I still remember so many things vividly. Currently I'm playing Lost Ark, it's an MMO. But no MMO can ever replace RO, my first and best MMO. Oh yes I also tried Tree of Saviour out. Definitely had some RO vibes since the OST was done by many familiar names such as Soundtemp, Esti, Studio A and more that made RO OST. You might want to check out some Tree of Saviour OST

RO is that one game tz a R4hat gives me those wonderful memories. I was a knight when I was still a total Ragna Addict, travelling the whole Midgard especially Morroco and Prontera where I always hang out with my other buddies. Partying with other players slaying every high level monsters like crazy and getting those sweet loot. But it's all in the past now. No other game can really replace RO. And now that I bumped into this medley, I can't stop crying because of the fact that you, Master Diwa, made this for us RO players....from the bottom of my heart, Thank you Master Diwa.

I was also one of those people who was first introduced to MMOs through Ragnarok, and I still look back fondly on those days. My friends and I loved the huge amount of customization the game allowed that has yet to really be duplicated in many other MMOs for fear of the dreaded "unbalance." Ragnarok was a hidden gem in it's time, and the music was indeed a beautiful part of it that i still remember very well. Excellent job re-capturing some of those tunes! :)

Ragnarok will always be in our hearts. I first played this during my 1st year high school days (2005), being my first MMORPG, the fun it gave was unforgettable. Playing with friends, getting wiped by thief bugs, running away from aggressive mobs, travelling between maps when bored ,etc. Even though it's pretty expensive to play RO before, we sacrificed our beloved allowance just to play an hour or two. Now, I'm on my mid 20's and hearing this gives me extreme nostalgic feels.

I've never played this game, but it was still a wonderful medley. All the instruments blended together very nicely for each song. The transitions between all the songs were very smooth, and nothing was too jarring on the ears when it switched from one tune to the other. All of the instruments that were playing the same tune sounded in sync, but not too in sync, so it sounded real enough. As for the video, I couldn't tell what was going on half the time in the game. Haha, I guess it's because I didn't play the game. Oh well! Anyways, great medley!

As another member of the RO generation...I always get super nostalgic when I hear these songs. Great work. I still remember when I got that Ghostring card from an album, asked my friends if it was any good, and made like 30 people say 'WHAT?!" And Payon Dungeon....like half my RO time was spent there levelling my acolyte/priest...

Spend my time grinding at leaf cat and got a leaf card for the first time but it was a useless. Assassin user, then after merging the server my acc got deleted or something and stopped playing afterwards
