Growing up in Jamshedpur in the early 60s and 70s only those blokes opter for law who could not qualiify elsewhere. Trust me, i used to hear parents lamenting "baychara chhoto chheleyta aykeybarey noshto hoye gaychhey. Law porchhey aekhoon! Other elders would gasp.!!" These judges are of my age. 60+. That is the reason.

when erdogen visited Germany the Turkish community there celebrated it while Turkish citizens did not share the same optimistic view. reason : thanks to media like trt world which manage to show erdogen as an "messiah" who will revive ottoman empire the Turkish community who were living in Germany really thought that erdogen was doing great thing for Turkey,but Turkish citizens on the other hand saw that harsh reality of their country (currency collaspe unemployment low economic growth )

@Abhijeet Kundu Erdogan votes mostly come from the Asian part of Turkey The Western part of Turkey voted for opposition party. But the Kamalist party aren't our friends as well eventhough they hate Islamist and Erdogan because they also are staunch leftist and atheist. They also dislike Hinduism and think India is backward. Personal feelings aside, Turkey is actually a nice country tho but only in Western part.

The reason why I say this is because Turkish has a solid engineering and technology industry. Saudi know this and try to lure many of Turkish talents to Saudi. @@AdityaSingh-vx8hi in 2015 there was proposal of appointment of National Judicial Appointment Committee to replace the Collegium system to hire judges but SC with their Judicial review powers they literally scrapped it. If NJAC can somehow remove the notoriety of abusing the collegium system then maybe procedure for judiciary can improve.

@@AdityaSingh-vx8hi yes but for that he needs to issue ordinance approved by the President and the procedure involving that itself in practice is so lengthy and complex the process itself becomes a punishment for the govt. Esp to give review petition. Unlike US we don't follow complete doctrine of seperation, we follow doctrine of checks and balances....but power of Judicial review alone gave Judiciary the edge over other 2 organs.

He is a chainsmoker i think he smokes more than 30 cigarettes everyday .he should not do it on public platform some younger kids may get impacted by seeing it

@Just A Donut he/she meant he should not do it on public platform .he is free to do what he does but when you are in public you should be responsible for what you doing. If you do good people learn that if you do wrong young people especially students can learn bad thinking

I mostly like the knowledge of the panelists here, but sometimes they tend to have so much contempt for an Indian in general. May be a problem with global elites, both LW and RW. But it really hurts sometimes as a fan. We may not mingle with elite crowds but we too are educated and work hard for a living. And yes, I am not a free speech absolutist and I don't think its ok to offend someone with YOUR free speech. Its just like rash driving under the pretext of "fundamental right to travel anywhere" 😂
