If two Raiden's can't exist at once then two FIRE GOD LIU KANGS shouldn't be able to exist. Thus, MK1's final battle makes no sense

@ccelite3782 actually it does The two raidens in mk11 were the same raiden from the same timeline(Universe) While fire god liu kang(ours) and the other fire god liu kang(Evil) aren't from the same timeline

I always like dark raiden because he was more aggressive and more menacing. Plus he protected earthrealm by any means necessary. I wish we could have seen more of him in mortal kombat 11.

Yeah. What I really love about him is that he's not just a good character who switches to the "evil side". He still wants to protect the Earthrealm, it's just that now he's completely chaotic. Props to the writers from the 3D era.

If a people kill lots of people in your country does he get death penatly or get arrested to kill again later. Dark Raiden wasn't dark, he only got tired of defeating shinnok every millenia to him come back stronger and killing more innocents, and he was right, in mk11 after math, if he killed shang tsung at his rage he wouldn't have losed later in the battle.

Kronika was kind of “meh” as a villain. I was glad when she was replaced with Shang Tsung in the DLC. But Dark Raiden? He would’ve been a great villain. Heart breaking, sure. But better.

Sonya Blade is the daughter of a special forces general and a martial arts movie actor both of whom are veteran fighters. Sonya who defeated Sub Zero, Kitana & Jade and Kano and Johnny Cage who defeated Reptile, Baraka, Sonya Blade, Kano, Scorpionc revenant Sub Zero, Scorpion, revenant Smoke, revenant Jax and Shinnok. Both her parents (mostly Johnny as he is closer to her) would ensure she would be able to fight and she’s been in special forces for years so she definitely knows how to fight. Also she only defeated Shinnok because of her secret power. I’m all for criticising Mary Sues but Cassie’s abilities are explained and justified so she’s not a Mary Sue like someone such as Rey (who is definitely a Mary Sue).

A lot of things just fucked up MK11's story and one of the main things is how Dark Raiden should've been the main antagonist. Krokika's inclusion got me asking where tf were you all this time, while Dark Raiden being irrelevant very quickly because he felt like a superman in injustice type of scary.

The closest thing that we have to Dark Raiden being an antagonist is him showing up in Season 5 of Invasions. That’s it.

I mean it’s the start of a new era of the franchise they called it mk1 for a reason. It’s not as impactful in a game where there’s darker characters having real ass beefs and ending them with maximum violence if you are just doing that the whole time, if you have build up and make it a change in the character for new raiden and have it chart the course and stay consistent then not only would it be more impactful but also cooler in every way, but that’s assuming they don’t write themselves into a corner like the last reboot

Shinnok will return obviously in MK1 since the time paradox which was caused by Titan Shung Tsung and Fire God Lui Kang which gave existence to many different timelines with different outcomes and realities !! So in one of them Shinnok is a Titan Elder God ! Etc... !

It's a shame, because Richard Epcar can really hold the gravitas and threat of Dark Raiden. Travis Wellingham in MK12 just... doesn't feel that intimidating, ya know? Travis does well as Raiden, but he doesn't feel threatening as Dark Raiden.

Never liked Dark Raiden for the story, and I have to say that I'm glad they always change him back to his original self. But his dark design is really cool not gonna lie, always chose his dark costume in MK9 because of how cool it looks. As for the story, I like him being Earthrealm's protector, but without him getting corrupted or turning evil. IMO I feel like the good guys would lose easily if he goes full on evil.
