Machine performance is further enhanced with 380hp, maintaining dig rates of 1 to 1.75 linear metres per minute, at depths from 250mm to 450mm under sleeper, excavating 5.5 tonnes per minute. We are able to introduce drainage cross-fall under plain line and S&C, to Network Rail specifications, and are also able to introduce new ballast reinstatement techniques, including new methodologies for ballast consolidation. The machine is setup with a package of A P Webb Plant Hire Ltd equipment to facilitate track ballast replacement, from a virtual quarry stock pile. However, the machine is equally able to work with engineering trains or OTM's for higher output requirements.
