In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train driver's view between Munich Central Station/München Hbf and Rosenheim in 4K/60 frames per second.
The Munich-Rosenheim railway is a 65-kilometer-long double-track main line of the German railways. It connects Munich Hauptbahnhof with Rosenheim station, where it connects with the Rosenheim-Salzburg railway, which connects with the line to Vienna at Salzburg, and the line to Kufstein, which continues to Innsbruck and the Brenner line to Italy. The line is part of the "Mainline for Europe", connecting Paris with Bratislava and Budapest and the almost identical line 17 of Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T). It is part of line 1 of TEN-T. It is electrified at 15 kV, 16.7 Hz. It was opened between Munich and Rosenheim in 1871.

Kann mich an die Strecke bis Grafing Bahnhof noch gut erinnern. Wohnte in Grafing Stadt und ging in München bei Dahlke zur Lehre. ( 1977 ) Wanderte ein Jahr spaeter nach Australien aus und bin da heute noch. Carl 🇦🇺

If I may, an explanation for those who don't know, S-Bahn means Straßen-Bahn (Street-Railway), operating in the open. U-Bahn means Untererdisch-Bahn (Uderground-Railway). Both are city-bounding types of commuters' railways.

To make the explanation correct: S-Bahn is an abbreviation for "Schnellbahn" (fast railway). It serves for quick transportation in big cities and for connection with their suburbs. It may operate above ground or underground. U-Bahn is an abbreviation for "Untergrundbahn" (underground). This is a kind of tramway being operated mostly underground but sometimes above ground, as well. It serves mostly the inner traffic in big cities. It is distinguished from "real" tramways by its own track system, always separated from streets. Tramways interact (at least now and then) with car traffic, U-Bahnen (undergrounds) do not.

@@rikardlalic7275 I know the abbreviation of S-Bahn as Suburban Line. At least in Munich. But I've also seen a Map of "Schnellbahnlinien Stuttgart" Maybe both counts. And to fill in missing information. Straßenbahn ist marked as Tram ;)

Back from the Deutsches Museum today, I'll get back on the train and drive to Rosenheim, because that's where I'm at home. _Wieder zurück vom Deutschen Museum, setze ich mich wieder hier in den Zug, und fahre nach Rosenheim, denn da bin ich ja daheim._

As always, great video! How come the maximum reached speed was only 140 km/h, even though the maximum allowed speed on some sections is 160 km/h?

I take this ride once a week. Sometimes I have my GPS speedometer running on my phone just out of curiosity. Indeed, 140 kph is speed max most of the time. But I have witnessed them going 160 several times. Whenever Deutsche Bahn is on strike, Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) is running like a Shinkansen. No disturbances on the tracks caused by Deutsche Bahn then. BRB is really providing great service and they have great personnel. Helpful, positive, funny, just wonderful!

@@gerdvomhau4499 Ab Minute 24:22 begann die Abbremsung. Es war an den Gleisen davor auch kein Sensor der Geschwindigkeiten überwacht, auch die Lichtsignale standen auf Grün, plötzlich ohne ersichtlicher Ursache bremste der Zug ab Minute 24:22 runter und kam bei 24:59 zum Stehen.
