7 жыл бұрынAnother interesting railway,with some nice loco's,a steam loco is under repair so that could be running in the future.
Very friendly staff,I was given a look around at the many exhibits on show,love the old coach.
The Derwent Valley Railway was one of the few lines that never went into Nationalisation,many of the loco's on display ran on this line.

This looks like a fascinating railway, I enjoyed your video of this. It has some nice rolling stock items and I liked the grounded coach bodies at the station.

I had to watch that again as I had forgotten where it was lol! A nice line and as you say they have some good items on show.The only problem is,if you want to visit the railway you have to pay to visit the (i think but not sure) farming museum.

A beautiful day for your visit to the lovely little line Chris...they have a collection of some rare diesels awaiting restoration....Great video....Bob

They have and most have run on the line when it was open so this makes them more special to the Society........Chris.

Good film as always. Interesting info. that this line was one of the few that didn't get Nationalised.

Thanks Kay, I don't think the track can go much further but what they have is good and a lot longer than I had thought.Nice way of running trains with two loco's on show and running.The class 4 diesel was very nice at the bottom of the yard.........Chris

Great video. When the DVLR was open ( closed 1981 ) it was very special, unique line.

This line should be reopened if only as far as Stamford Bridge, it would alleviate mega pressure on the A1079

May be a while Geoff before the steamer comes out,it is under the cover in the video.I have been meaning to visit this railway for a few years now,glad we made it at last...........Regards Chris

That would be nice but it could be a long time coming,they told me it was a Barclay that was covered by the sheet.The weather was lovely for the weekend away,keep your fingers crossed we have it again for Pembrey,Bob always says west is best!.....Best wishes Chris

Watch out for Rain on Saturday...If i can still come, i will have to drive most of the way late Sat afternoon in some inclement Weather...Starting to move House Today. Bit by bit..daunting..........Weather should be 'OK' Sunday...That's what BBC Weather showed last Night.
