Hi, I love this idea😍and your very good at teaching too. But I am concerned, you should wear a respirator whenever you sand on glass. It puts silica dust in the air. Please look it up and be safe.😷

I'm glad you got it to work :) The colored glitter came from the craft store, it's just a mix of different sized glitter in the same color. Any craft glitter will work, I mix mine 50% glitter to 50% acrylic powder. Thank you for watching!

Monomer is used with acrylic powder to bring it to consistency. You usually use it for acrylic nails (like you get at the salon) but it works great for other crafts. Thank you for watching! :)

Thank you. I saw BebaQu33n was wearing a ring similar to this one in one of her resent videos; I don't know if she made it or bought it, but it was beautiful and the inspiration for this ring. The technique and how to do it, I came up with for the tutorial. I tried to look up other tutorials here on KZfaq but didn't find any, so this is what I came up with. I'm sure there are other/better ways to do this but I was just using what I had. Thank you for watching! :)

Acrylic dries very quickly, maybe 5 minutes... That time will depend on the temperature in your area, the level of humidity and brand of acrylic you are using. Hope that helps, thank you for watching! :)

Hi Carrie! When I say 50/50 mix, I mean 50% glitter mix with 50% acrylic powder. The monomer brings the mixture (glitter & powder) to consistency, which allows you to work with it. The file I'm using is a cardboard file one side is 100 grit and the other side is 180 grit (which is more course then normal natural nail files at 240-ish grit). I bought my supplies at Sally's Beauty Supply but you can find most of it at your local drug store in kits. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!! :)

Do you mix the glitter with the monomer while its in powder form or did you mean its a 50/50 mixture because you dipped in the liquid monomer then into plain glitter/ Is your file a metal file or cardboard? Sorry but I never had my nail professionally done so all these products are new to me. Thank you for doing this tutorial!

very very cool love this idea and I plan on doing some of these this week to add into the easter baskets for all the girls in my family... can you answer a quick question for me, how do I get involved in swaps? I have a lot of mixes that I made that I am very proud of and would really like to see what other nail techs come up with using them.... thanks in advance for any info and for this wonderful idea I know my daughters, and nieces are going to LOVE these!! Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter!!!!
@Beanana7118 жыл бұрын
+Ja'Net Wise Thank you, and I hope you had a wonderful Easter as well. When I started going swaps I did group swaps to start, that was a way to get my name out there and start doing videos. Once people see your a 'real' person and not a scammer you can reach out and ask someone (you trust) to do a swap. You set the rules before anything gets shipped and follow them (10 mixes and nail art items or a money amount 25$ or whatever you like)... Also, I would recommend getting a tracking number to protect yourself and to offer the person you are swapping with.. it covers both parties. Hope that helps!! :)
