I started watching you when I was younger (like 3 - 4 years ago) and I would watch your vids religiously! My favourite cake was your son's minecraft cake you made. Today I came across one of your videos and saw the theme song and I brought back so many memories! Glad to see you're still making videos! :)

I really appreciate that you followed the actual rainbow pattern!! (Red, orange, yellow, etc.. ) A lot of videos i've seen that made a variation of this just threw the cheeses on in a random order.

Of COURSE you gotta SQUISH it! My Mom even had an antique cast-iron iron that we'd use for the sole purpose of squishing grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas and I still use it today.

I think the reason why it's easier to eat rainbow desserts is because you associate vibrate colors with sweet things, maybe because fruits are normally sweet? Idk instinct stuff is weird

In Australia we use a toasted sandwich maker which squishes it automatically.

nop. not a bread squisher here. one needs patience to make a proper grilled cheese. nice thick bread. proper cheese. medium low pan. melt butter in pan instead of buttering bread. and wait for it to fry beautifully! add more butter flip and brown again. do not even think of squishing. try it! the outside of the bread becomes suuuuper crispy and the inside is still warm and fluffy. 😀

You could color mayonnaise and use that as well. :) Here is it very popular to use mayo instead of butter for grilled cheese for more even browning and easier spreading (:

I love the rainbow colored cheese! of all the rainbow grilled cheese i've seen yours looked most appealing to the eye! Now if it were in front of me to eat it, I'm not 100% sure how I would feel about it but looking at it doesn't turn me off at all!

We usually use a panini or a tosti maker to make grilled cheese which flattens it automatically :P

Definitely squish mine as well. It just gives it much more even cooking and really brings out that golden brown.

I think butter paint would work better than milk paint in this instance since it gets nice and crunchy instead of wet. :3

Could you mix softened butter with food coloring and paint that on the bread instead of using milk? 🤔 Or would that not come out as bright

Heh, you totally echoed what I was thinking of saying: there's something unappetizing about rainbow cheese XD And yet, rainbow-colored desserts are fine. Go figure. Maybe it's because the colors remind us of dessert flavors.

Instead of milk couldn't I add the coloring to melted butter and then paint the butter on? Then it would be ready to go into the pan already buttered.

I squish my grilled cheese. Makes the cheese melt faster and the crust edges get crispier. :-)
