This special was just such a huge waste of potential. Instead of getting another special like Forgotten Friendship that perfectly balanced both the human and pony parts, we instead got a special where the pony parts were the only good thing because all the human parts were dragged down by Rainbow Dash being at her absolute worst, on top of Ragamuffin having the most grating voice ever and getting in the way of Rarijack. Man, I remember people being really excited for this special once they heard they were going to back to Equestria, but in the end, almost everyone just left mostly disappointed...

Dash was absolutely *insufferable* in this special! Lovely to see pony Sunset, as well as Equestria toward the ending though! 💓

Spring breakdown is not as bad as you think Sunset, Twilight and Rainbow turning into ponies and exploring a new portal and Equestria while meeting the mane 6 is the best part. And the song all good is a great song. Rainbow Dash does kinda make it less enjoyable but I still love the special.

This was a crazy spring break episode. Everybody as ponies was crazy. It was pretty funny 🦄🦄🦄🤣🤣🤣

Even if this Equestria Girls episode didn't air in my country, I admit the concept of an Equestria Girls in the other way is really cool and renew the concept.

You know, while watching this special, I was thinking of how Zipp and Rainbow Dash would probably not get along in the long term. The former might be a little quick to suspect, but at least she doesn’t go looking for trouble and ruin things for everyone else (closest is Misty but she was an enemy at the time). Honestly, this kinda shows the EG characters at their worst as being mostly flanderized versions of the pony characters

Spring Breakdown really gets on my Nerves and the episode really Embarrassed me out from what Sci-Twi just said when she's from the Pony form of herself

Rainbow Dash is obnoxious. But Sci-Twis reaction to being turned into a pony is absolutely hilarious ("PONY FACE" "All my parts are horse parts" "I didn't hear you because I'm a pony").

We need to replace Rainbow with someone who truly knows loyalty. Someone who is completely obedient to whoever she serves. Someone who will carry out any orders given to her without hesitation.

I bet that was intended as a jab at Hasbro by the EqG writers, who were likely told to tone down the Rarijack shipping after all the hugging, blushing, and other suggestive looking moments between those two in the previous specials (especially in "Rollercoaster of Friendship")

I watched this special this morning, and yeah, Rainbow Dash pretty much pissed me off throughout the whole special to the point where I almost quit watching. The pony sections and the girls saving everyone from the sinking boat were the only saving graces, and at least Zipp didn’t act like this in the first MYM special. Your Dash rage pretty much summed it up. can’t wait for your reaction to Sunset’s Backstage Pass on Sunday.

i always note that flash it at the end of this special wich it strange since i didnt notice him to be in the movie wich is such a shame he never got more screen time in the series and i never understood why they made a male aj for the specialproberply my lest favorite of the eg specials

Nice Confalone, a writer who joined in season 5 of FiM and was much better at writing for Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Starlight Glimmer, and the Apple family. He only ever wrote one episode that focused on Rainbow Dash, and RD was hard to watch at times in that as well ("The Washouts").

I will agree that RD was being so out of character in this special, now I don’t technically hate her as much as in the FIM series since I still think she’s a pretty cool character, not one of my favorites but at least she is a little better than Pinkie Imo, but overall because of how terribly Rainbow Dash was portrayed in this special I’m gonna give Spring Breakdown a D- not the worst EQG special but definitely not the best in the slightest.

This is by far not just the Worst Portrayal of Rainbow Dash I have EVER seen in the entirety of G4. You can't name a worse piece of character derailment of Dash that is WORSE than Spring Breakdown. I'm serious I HATED this special. It's easily the worst thing to come out of the EqG franchise. Rollercoaster of Friendship may be bad, but this special annoyed the hell out of me. Between Pinkie screaming, Applejack's running gag on her vomiting, Another Plot MaGuffin, and the wasted potential of the humans turning into ponies which is only in the last 3rd and we barely spend any time on it. It's all wasted on shenanigans that are either unfunny or boring. 2/10
