I have the same unit. It has worked flawless. For 2 years... well I hope I didn't jinx my unit lol. Glad you got it sorted out. I use mine 2 to 3 times a week. I run mine on an inverter my wife and I like our showers 🚿. I take a shower 🚿 every night and she takes one in the morning and at night. We also use deck showers to rinse off the salt. Each fill up is around 100 gallons or more. Couple hours or three is pretty fast. Enjoy your rain man. Good video and review. Fair winds...

To be perfectly honest I think I'd be contacting rainman and asking them to reimburse me on that money because like you said it was a quality control issue and only 5 uses thats unacceptable if ya ask me.

Hey Bert thanks for commenting. We agree 100%; however, we purchased the unit awhile back and just stored it on the boat while we got Tashi ready for cruising. It’s our fault we didn’t test it while under warranty. We did send the video to Rainman. Maybe they will make it right. Who knows.

Cavitation? I tried to read the Starwars screen, lol, but it was too fast for my slow brain so just in case anyone reading needs additional assist: In the simplest possible terms, cavitation involves the formation of water vapor bubbles that damage metal components when they collapse back to the liquid phase." I'm always having fun learning here. Now a question completely unrelated, Alicia, did Hal cut your hair? I can picture him watching a hair cutting tutorial first then venturing the task at hand. It looks super cute if he did.😊

Yeah. I couldn’t slow it down. At the end it says layman’s terms: sucking bubbles. 🤣🤣🤣. And…no. Hal did not cut Alicia’s hair. Although that could be a hilarious idea for a future episode 🤣🤣

That was a great review on the Rainman. One other con you may have left off is the construction and space needs of installing one inside the boat.

Hi Tashi, we have the same unit but with the compact membranes. After seeing your video we would like to reach out to Chris for some spares. We noticed that there are three dealers in Florida but only one on the west coast. We will leave with the haha in a couple of weeks and now think we should have those spares in our toolbox. Thanks.

Rainman failed to do a proper failure modes analysis. The lock nut on the high pressure relief valve should have a hole to accept lock wire.

rainman should have not only reimbursed you for the repair, but they should also have given you the spares kit.... With that said. K I S S. Keep it simple stoopid. (not you, just a saying.) Always jiggle and grab and twist. It's a machine. Treat it as such.

Helimx, you are so right about that. I kick myself for not checking it. It was cavitation so in my dumb mind I was looking for a leak. I tore that machine apart but never thought outside the box. I had tunnel vision. It won’t ever happen again that I can tell you! 😁
