She was spectacular. One of those special kinds of people who can heal people with her music, but sadly, she couldn't do it for herself. 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤

This lady was definitely a beautiful person inside and out. She sure had the voice of an angel and a very warm heart. It is so sad that she passed away at such a young age. I think that her music and memories will live on forever. She is dearly loved and sadly missed

Met Karen at our dentist office in Oct 1976! What a thrill i was so excited and nervous but enjoyed every second.....she was so sweet to me and kind to this 24 year old crazy fan!!! So pretty in person.....gorgeous A moment or two in time that i will remember the rest of my life: My 2 friends met Karen a few times while working at Gemco there in Downey and met the entire family!

She can make some of the most incredible sounds. It seems odd but close your eyes and listen to the word.. it's at about the 2:25 mark. Actually just close your eyes and listen to the whole thing. She was one of a kind.

What makes for a good voice? I know this voice is beautiful, I can’t quite explain why. The enunciation, the measured step; one by one. I don’t know, but her voice makes me happy.
@AllenOption813 жыл бұрын
The entire sound was perfect. Yes, she was the star of it, but he was as well in the studio. When the sax break comes in, it just pushes it up and she is every match for it with the vocal that cries out blues and blahs, really from the depths. An amazing artist - what a talent. Still one of my top ten concerts in the spring of 1974.

She has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. Even so, you can tell she is uncomfortable. She was always so comfortable behind her drums. Richard was terrible for making her come out from behind them. I'm sure that played a part in her problems.
@dianemorris5816 Жыл бұрын
How do you know that Richard was terrible and made her come out from behind the drums and that played a part in her problems? He was her brother and blaming him is outrageous. As you know she was anorexic. I do agree tho thst she had the voice of an angel.

For an "untrained" voice, she was perfect. What a shame anorexia took hold. You know, if you search the video's.. I believe the fashions of the day played a role... they looked "bulky" no matter what size you were. Karen fell victim to this, and "popular' opinion of what a woman should "look" like. What a shame and great tragedy. Not only did she leave her wonderful voice, but her struggles with anorexia, has surely helped countless people,, .. someone very close to me included. RIP Karen
