as a small to mid stakes grinder it is so good to see these and see that the nasty spots I find myself in and wonder if I should have gotten away from happen to the sicko crushers too. Not only do these videos help me find my leaks, but help me identify my non leaks that feel like leaks when I am running bad. Does my psyche so much good. Thank you Ben.

+Raise Your Edge at 17:22 why is it a bad blocker? Oke, it is kind of a bad blocker for the backdoor flush draw that he now less likely turned (so less likely that he has a busted flush draw on the river). But you have good blockers for a straight on the river, an effect which I assume is stronger than the flush draw blocker. You also block two JTs. And, is he really jamming all over pairs when you yourself have most of the sets, two pairs and straight and does this make him more or less likely to bluff (more or less likely polarized)? So which pocket TT are you calling if some TT should be calling at all? Pocket TT with a club?

QT spot is quite interesting : what are you hoping to get called by when you jam the river for value ? A 9, or a pocket that want to be the hero on this flushy board ? We are headed or blocking some of the flush and straight draw that are not going to call anyway He could check AT or KT, and we are basically getting value from one realistic T combo : JT and only one suited combo as he isn't going to raise offsuited combo from EP I don't see a lot of value, I would have been checking with this particular run-out Could you please explain me where I am wrong and what pushed you to shove ? (If you have the time obv, if not still cool video :) )
@Steezy93
@Steezy93 3 жыл бұрын
QT is an extremely strong hand on that dry runout. You're ahead of almost everything except flopped sets and trip 10s with a higher kicker (which arent ever going to check river), meaning you are now ahead 99% of the time and anything less than shoving is too nitty imo. Opponent may have plenty worse hands like AA, other pairs or worse trips for value

He will check boats flop or turn and some AT/KT combos go for check/raise. JTs is in his range as well as T8s. Kahle can be quite loose and even some JTo might be in his range and still some overpairs that go for bet bet check/decide and herocall with not blocking draws. With 1/2 pot left we have to jam. If we are deeper I would check.

Someone should let BenCB know that BB xR range on Qc7c4x is made up of a ton of bottom pair + bdfd/bdsd hands.. K4 likely never gets used but 45 with c or 64 with a c 43 etc.. def does at decent frequency and in terms of a distribution of his flop xR range.. so river 4 isn’t great.. although it being 4c reduces that range it should still not be a great card

Why 4-bet jam 66 on the bubble though?
@Demondoink1
@Demondoink1 3 жыл бұрын
he said because the guy was aggressive and likely 3betting too wide. also, 66 benefits from jamming all in pre as it does a good job of unblocking combos that are 3bet/folds such as KTo,QTo, A5o etc, whilst also retaining reasonable equity when called as it is ahead of the likes of AK/AQ which are 3bet/calling. obviously vs KK it has poor equity, but those combos are a small part of the overall range so jamming here should be +EV. also, when you play mtt's for a living you aren't concerned about making a final table to stroke your ego. instead you prefer to make $EV and take profitable spots.
@Mathemagical55
@Mathemagical55 3 жыл бұрын
@@Demondoink1 Thanks, I had actually misunderstood Bencb's comment and thought it was the tournament bubble not just the final table bubble. In fact 13 places got paid not 9 so his play is more understandable now.

So much money in buy ins. You got lucky that you win this tournament. And i play about 6 years poker I lost 30k and I win only one tournament 109$ 10k.you run so good my friend. The problem is I think pokerstars is rigged. I lost almost every tournament in the river card. A lots of badbeats. Lot of opponent goes all in with 5-3, 9-6 a lots of bad cards and 50bb or 30bb . I play good, in Casino or real poker but in pokerstars is something else. I don't play anymore in online poker because i don't trust them anymore.and all poker players who streaming runs good because of marketing. I know that. I bet all streamers sit in real table and all run shi.t. I watch a lot of poker and i know.
